Emma how many carbs do you eat every day if you don’t mind my asking ?0

loveswalking wrote: »Emma how many carbs do you eat every day if you don’t mind my asking ?
@loveswalking
It's varied. I started the first few days at 50 grams, but didn't care where they came from (veggie, fruits, sugar creamer, sugar, rice, raw honey, etc).
After a few days of cutting carbs, I naturally dropped lower. 11-26 net carbs of all veggies and fruits, and a little dairy.
About a month ago, I raised Carbs (30-50 net) to include more sweet fruits (nectarines, plums, oranges).
Last week dropped down to under 20 again.
I do take liquid kelp for thyroid support. And If I do any exercise, I eat high protein meal after workout (helps speed metabolism by replacing energy spent).
My diary is open to friends. I log daily and all active on my feed. Diary's pretty boring lately... My life has been very stressful the last couple of weeks, which directly impacts my food, cooking, and prepping. Plus that's why I started working out recently was to help cope with stress and problems.

Thanks!
Yeah. The first pictures I took June 11 were a couple of days after starting to log on MFP. I originally took them for my eyes only (they're pretty graphic).
I have made a lot of comments through the forums about progress pictures in place of scales for myself (scales can be discouraging or get obsessed over a number) and how taking the progress pics have been like watching my body dissolve away. But I did decide to share after significant loss...I have been so over-the-top happy about the progress, I started sharing in here last month with posted pics.
I've always had a pretty good metabolism. I think a reason for rapid change, was partly because my weight was gained very quickly when I caught a disease. I cut carbs for a week of Unleavened Bread (religious observation). And felt better, less stomach pain and bloat went down. After much research, decided to try a low carb lifestyle. And I believe the carb sensitivities I had developed were the main cause of the weight gain. Just a theory.
Everytime I take new pictures my jaw hits the floor in shock!

60 lbs lost in 3 months? Wow.2

I honestly don't really know what I weigh. I don't really own a scale (history of anorexia and getting obsessed).
I'm just guessing weight based on weight history combined with size. I started around a size 20 (was squeezing into size 18 yoga pants that were literally ripping at the seams Terrified to go to store and buy new pants that actually fit, because I knew it would be 20s or 22s)! When that big in past from injury, weighed 225-235ish.
Down to 13 juniors (I don't wear juniors out, just keep at house to gage size, and I try on my daughter's clothes). But new jeans I bought were size 12 misses. When in size 12, I'm usually around 165-175ish.
Been tempted to buy a scale recently just to see where I'm at more accurately, because I am almost where I like to be. And I don't like the way I look if I get too thin.

You are rocking it for sure! Awesome achievement.
And I see zero issue w/ wearing juniors clothes now and then...even out...as long as they look cute, and not crazy-teenagery. I certainly do at age 42.1 -
CONGRATS!!1

I just came home from a NSV of my own, very pleased with myself. Out to dinner with friends, only one glass of wine, fish as main, and no dessert! Usually dinners out are my Waterloo.
Also, last week I had three days of "off the wagon" style eating and gained 3/4 of a pound, but now I seem to be back on track. Whew! I just have to remind myself to log what I eat even when it's like 4,000 calories that day (I didn't this past week. My diary is open so the shame was too real).2 -

That's great on the dining out!!! Displaying willpower is not only a NSV, but shows inner strength!
Unfortunately, I fail miserably when out of the house usually. Starbucks Americano with white mocha and toffee nut syrups is my downfall when out, and I have logged some pretty shameful days myself. But always quickly back on track!2 -

Wanted to let you know, the disagree was not mine. I'm 45 and my daughter and I have shared clothes and outfits since she was in high school (20s now) Some from juniors stores, some from the Limited, Macy's, hmm Store, Hot Topic, etc. When I am in my ideal size, my daughter and I love it, because we shop more together and have double the wardrobe, also we wear the same shoe size, so we share those too, especially boots and heels. (Not so much sneakers).
I guess I put that line, because I'm a little self conscious about wearing juniors clothes, due to my family (parents and sisters) make fun of me for not dressing or acting my age. (Constantly hearing, "You're 45, when are you going to grow up!")
Hehehe, my daughter and I just moved almost 3000 miles away from my parents and sisters!5 -

Aw that's fine, I don't care about disagrees anyway. I know what you mean though, too!
I am sure no one thinks I own any juniors clothes, because they're things like dark wash skinny jeans or a tan sweater...not crazy cropped tops and studded hoodies. Although there's nothing wrong with the latter items either! Do you, I say! haha1 -

No, lol... My juniors clothes are mostly jeans, shorts, skirts, and some 90s looking floral shirts (like the 90s baby doll dresses that go good with skinny jeans or leggings, or tights with doc martins). I like some of the juniors clothes because they remind me of 80s and 90s that are coming back in... Like the snap-crotch body suits that are back in right now, the 80s sweater dresses are making a comeback... Where's my stirrup pants? LOL1 -

LOL, after typing last reply, I went to mall shopping. I bought something... Couldn't help myself. I ended up leaving junior store with a tiny little red and black plaid skirt.... Always wanted one!! My daughter was actually trying it on, while I was trying on a vest. After she tried on, I asked if I should try it on... She said go for it.. It fit perfect. We bought it to share!!!
So thrilled to be back in mall clothes, and out of living in yoga pants!3 -
