The colors orange & white together.
I was 3 years old.
It was Summertime in Ohio.
It was Hot.
These were the colors of an inflatable swimming pool dad bought me for the backyard.
That image ONLY reminds me of Whataburger and I'm not even Texan.seltzermint555 wrote: »Motorsheen wrote: »

Certain songs remind me of good or bad times.
I can’t stand a man yelling or even just raising his voice at me as it reminds me of my narcissistic ex.
I don’t like anyone telling me what to do because it reminds me of my overly controlling parents.
Yeah, many of mine are negative.
Some are positive though.
Gallo Pinto. Plantains. Waterfalls. Frogs or birds chirping. Sun and beaches.

The sound of cicadas brings me right back to summers in my grandparents backyard, when I was about 8. I remember my grandfather's rose garden, waiting for it to be an appropriate time to call on my friends, sugary breakfast cereal, Saturday morning cartoons - just that time in life when mostly everything was good.
Being in crowds or crowded situations often gives me what I can only describe as sensory overload. I can't concentrate, I hear all the different noises and conversations equally and fear I may have a panic attack. I try to leave, if possible. If I can't, I stare at the ground, or take of my glasses. Headphones, music and eyes closed help too.6 -

Mikes hard lemonade reminds me of my parents sink. Only difference was I tried to burn the evidence and realized a little too late the sink was plastic and in fact not porcelain like the one downstairs in the main bathroom.
I still can’t stand the smell of that stuff.3 -

The only correct answer to these colors.1 -

....obviously you don't know the unbridled joy in the heart of a three year old boy on a hot, July afternoon and the pure delight of doing a bellyflop into several inches of water displaced from a garden hose into an inflatable pool.
(for the record, you're still invited to go swimming with me... the pool now is just a little bit bigger, deeper and fancy.)3 -
Walking through the piney woods with snow on the branches. When the wind blows the smell of pine, cedar and fir is so strong and powerful that you'll never forget it. It reminds me of everything that's good about life.

First my bad one...phone calls later than 9 or 10 pm
Lost my first love to a motorcycle accident while he was visiting his home country I received a phone call at 11 at night to let me know....
Lost my dad on Valentine's Day and got a phone call from the hospital at 3 a.m. that day while he was in for some routine tests and supposed to be coming home that day...
I know this is a relatable one but it's a *kitten* too😖
Now my good ones🤗
Any Italian Music or even the Rat Pack and especially Perry Comos Impossible will have me in tears remember my father.....💗but its also a beautiful memory too....
Hearing the ice cream truck brings me back to my dad and sweltering summer days playing in the street half ball (city chick) and then booking it to my house to call up to my dad to PLEEEEEEASE through down some money Lol....he'd buy for all of us .. He rocked ....and we were poor so that was big💗
And lastly the Wizard of Oz....it was pre videos/cable yup old chick too 😖....my mom would make us this amazing iced peach tea and and sweetened colored popcorn treats and we'd get the blankets and pillows on the living room floor and sometimes could have a friend over....she always made it so special...i love that movie and that lady💗
I think I have something in my eye....🙈😰7 -

I really like this song. It evokes feelings within me without even having a memory attached to it.3 -

I'll hold you to that. I love swimming.1 -

Ditto.
Sometimes in the summer my garden shed smells just like the garage on my aunt and uncle's farm, where I used to go during summer vacation. It brings me back to those happier times when I was free of my parents.1 -
Mine are negative at the moment. Mostly stress related and that makes me snack on junk food. Kids home sick, kids bickering, kids whining, husband running late, money due for this school thing and that school thing and don’t forget the book fair! You want to be a good parent and encourage reading don’t you? Why you’re at it sign up for the SEVEN HOUR mother son event coming in November. What’s that? Oh, midterms, finals.....tuition due again?!3

The simple question “what’s for dinner?” Is enough to trigger me into a quivering, oozing, crying blob of cantankerous jello.3

“Mooommmmm, there’s nothing to do....I’m so bored!” triggers me into a catatonic state in which I stare at the wall, drool, and mutter “clean the house, walk the dog, pick up your stuff, put away your clothes, study....” repeatedly under my breath while rocking back and forth to the beat of the song “they’re coming to take me away ha ha, they’re coming to take me away hee-.hee”.4

I forgot this one bit this article reminded me....any abuse towards animals makes me want to abuse the abuser. People suck!
