What’s the food that always feels like a treat but is good for you too?
I had greek yoghurt and granola for supper and had forgotten how much I enjoy it!

Other winners include; strawberries, chicken, pine nuts, eggs

Whole roasted chicken with fingerling potatoes and vegetables.

Salmon or trout, again with veg.

Pasta with shrimp, lots of veg, and olives.

    So many other options too.

There is nothing I enjoy more than a big salad, always have, even as a child. Mixed leaves, cucumber, tomato, red onion/spring onions, radishes, peppers etc. Give me a bowl of that and a fork and I’m happy!

The times in my life when I’ve forgotten the simple pleasures of that are the times the pounds have crept up on me.

This sounds crazy, but I love mushrooms (Portabello, shitake are my favorites) so much that I literally just assumed they were unhealthy for the longest time, since everything else I like to eat tends to be more in the "double stuffed, extra cheese, meat lover's pizza" type of category.

I remember when I was in my young 20s and on one of many diets, I'd even order stir fry or steamed vegetables with brown rice at a Chinese place, and ask them for no mushrooms!

Peanut butter, good cheese, Georgia Candy Roaster winter squash, morels, and my daily oatmeal (with Greek yogurt, blackstrap molasses, cinnamon, mixed berries, hemp/flax seed, walnuts).

Roasted veggies! Olive oil, salt and pepper, herbs and spices, super high heat, get that crunchy burnt goodness on the edges.

Boneless garlic is not that "healthy."

Yeah, but that stuff you get already de-boned just isn't as good as if you do it yourself.

Oh. Sorry. I forgot the [snark] and [/snark] tags. Forgive me. Or not :naughty:

I have almost that exact salad every day, but also add jicama, shredded carrots, parsley, and basil plus protein. Have a bunch of dressings to keep it interesting but that salad every day.

Things that I really like are butternut and acorn squash, oatmeal, baked apple, and Greek yogurt. I love roasted garlic or balsamic vegetables.

    Red bell peppers.

But my first thought when I read the title was plain greek yogurt with frozen blueberries.

    And now I'm hungry!
