What is your calorie goal on Thanksgiving?
I hit about 7,000 guesstimated calories last year before I tapped out. I'm going to try to beat last year's record!

I'm allowing myself 7000 calories over and above my normal deficit for the whole 4 day weekend, but doubtful I will do it.6

Damn, I'm not even close. Even when I totally go all out I still tap out at like 5,000. But you did just remind me that I need to pick up some alcohol.10

Calories? There are calories in Thanksgiving food? Oh crap. 🥺17

I cannot even fathom what 7,000 calories in food looks like! If that fits your goals, that's great. But my deficit/maintenance are both under 2000 so I hope to stick to ~2k tomorrow by fasting until dinner at 4pm.7

I will eat a small breakfast- then just TAKE the hit for thanksgiving- and moveon-- Friday back on plan- NO MATTER WHAt--even if there are left overs- no back on plan8

Holy *kitten*. I had a little over 3000 last year and thought that was a lot. I'm breastfeeding this year so maybe my increase in appetite will help me out a little lol
Last year I ran a turkey trot or whatever so I even ended up right around maintenance for the day which was crazy. I am not running this year so I'll go waayyy over I'm sure.5 -

Alcohol makes a huge difference.1 -
Oh and last year I ate leftovers all weekend because we did it at my house, it was glorious.3

Well I'm not pregnant this year so maybe I'll give that a go2 -
So, I'm going out to a restaurant for Thanksgiving dinner.
Normally, I'd eat WAY more calories at a restaurant meal than I would at home, but I think in this case, it's going to be less than a home-cooked Thanksgiving dinner.
It's a plated dinner at the restaurant, not a buffet, so it will be pre-portioned and no going back for seconds.
I'll also drink less, because I have to drive and restaurant drinks are expensive.
That said....for the soup, dinner, dessert, and one drink at the restaurant, I'm thinking maybe 2,000 calories? Possibly less, though.4 -
Y'all are an inspiration!
With GERD, I'll likely barely top 2000 on Thanksgiving. Which is about 400-500 above maintenance. I don't expect to be back at a deficit until Tuesday due to leftovers.4 -
I don't track but I'm mindful and keep it at around maintenance4

Well, I just calculated out my Thanksgiving dinner (entered recipes, etc) and it came to 1460 calories. Not positive that all amounts are 100% correct, but I have a place to start. I wasn't even planning to track, but this and the other thread about it made me curious!
If this number is accurate, I probably will top 2000 calories for the day!2 -

Honestly I have never tracked a Thanksgiving before but I'm guessing I'' be at least like 2,500 calories.3
