Successes: Well, the turkey was amazing! Even if my roaster had some issues and never got beyond 250 degrees F. So, we ended up eating at about 9pm...good thing I didn't have a hungry house of people!
This month will be weird with weigh ins...Leaving for Mexico on the 14th, so I'll need to do my 15th weigh in early. And my 22nd will be after a week of indulgence. But putting that date to weigh as soon as we return will keep me accountable.
Struggles: Wasn't expecting the massive 2.2 lb drop this week.

Successes: I kept weighing in through the holidays. I knew I was going to eat whatever I wanted in whatever amount, and I knew the scale would reflect it. Most of the weight gain is food, and not important.
Struggles: I didnt log most of my food. This in itself is not a struggle necessarily. I am struggling a bit to get back into the swing of things. Over the next few days I'll get back into my routine. Holiday fun and new work schedule made it impossible to get all my runs in. We'll move forward in that arena too. 1 month from marathon sunday!6 -

Success of the week: My November weight trend has been amazingly consistent even though it's up a pound from November 1. October wasn't a good month, so at least November didn't bring another BIG gain; just a small one. I'm still in the middle of my range, but I've had some crazy days when the scale was way up (or down). I need to remind myself that despite this small gain, I am actually maintaining pretty well. Not ideal, but pretty good.
Struggle of the week: I ended November on a high weight. Oh well. My trending weight was actually pretty flat all month, but it's higher in my range than I want. But still in range.

Maintenance weight range: current goal is 220 lbs. plan to 'rest' there a month and then aim for 200 lbs. I'm setting achievable stepwise goals like this so I can declare intermediate successes instead of obsessing on my end goal as the only way to 'win'. My end goal is 22% fat or less (but >17% as I'm female), whatever weight that turns out to be--it's hard to project the goal weight when I'm still so far from it. At present I'm guessing it to be somewhere around 150 lbs. My best weight when I was doing sprint triathlons in college was 135 lbs. So it's hard to say at this age, with less muscle mass, what my weight should be because even when young and at appropriate body composition I ran on the heavy side for a woman.

Loss rate was reduced in Oct/Nov due to exceeding calorie targets from birthdays and other family festivities, not a 'plateau', which I define as the frustrating situation of doing everything right and not getting results. In this case the reason for the slower loss rate is perfectly logical--voluntary over-eating.

Success(es)/struggle(s) of the week: It wasn't Thanksgiving that accounted for the bump (there wasn't enough time at work to sit down for more than a few minutes), but the day afterward - leftover pumpkin pie is kryptonite. Still, I fully expect the bump to be gone in a day or two. Exercise is going reasonably well. I also just realized that I declared maintenance a year ago, though I hit GW a few months prior to that. One down, forevermore to go.
@lesdarts180 I'm so glad to hear that things are looking a bit up. I hope that the holidays bring more comfort and joy to you.

Successes/struggles: I’m still struggling to keep my weight above 48 kg.
We've had another rollercoaster week. On Monday my son finally had an appointment with the neurology team to discuss his diagnosis and it was fairly hopeful. Apparently the tumour is low level, not aggressive, so that's good, but it is very complex and spread through several parts of his brain. He was referred to a hospital closer to where they live and an appointment was set up for Friday morning to discuss treatment options. However, on Wednesday he developed a very severe headache, went to A&E at Cheltenham hospital, where they discovered very high inter-cranial pressure, was whisked off for live-saving intervention, stabilised and sent to Bristol ICU in the middle of the night. By Thursday evening he was back in the neurology ward and on Friday evening he was home again. I've been up and down the motorway, looking after the children on Wednesday evening, hospital visiting etc. We're all exhausted again, just when we thought the news was relatively hopeful.
I’m home now and hope to have a few days peace and quiet, to recharge.

Success(es)/struggle(s) of the week: I managed to maintain my weight through November and the Thanksgiving holiday so I guess that is a success. No real struggles. My exercise and my eating are both at levels that I feel comfortable with. If I ever have to decrease my activity I know I will have to eat less, but for now I am able to eat a lot and so I feel good about where my weight is.5 -

Successes of the week: I kept exercising even while traveling (long drives) & visiting with relatives, many social events, no routine except my regular breakfast & my walking/steps.
Struggles: Eating socially & eating out. Family members can eat more than me, so they wanted a full meal while I’m more in large snack mode for lunch & dinner.
Scale is up, but this was a planned experiment. I lost wt before the trip & planned to lose whatever I needed to in December. I was optimistic that I could do this given my successes in November. Takes me a few days to get back in the groove & then its pretty easy. I’m close to being fully back on track eating wise...😁

Success(es)/struggle(s) of the week: Down two pounds from the prior week or post Thanksgiving. Still higher then my stated range. I am eating at a bit of a deficit to trying and get back down under 155, it may take awhile midnight snacks are the devil.
I also think I have a little inflammation with some bicep tendonitis from over training most likely. I am doing some very specific stretching to help the bicep and thankfully it seems to be improving, I am also not doing overhead press on machine or dumbbells for a while.

Success(es)/struggle(s) of the week: My weight is in a good place in the middle of my range now, despite having a planned surplus week this past week where I ate lots of good food. However, I'm definitely coming down with a cold or something, so next week will be a struggle to get the bare minimum steps in. I'll also have an added challenge of a mandatory work holiday party and a couple of meals out, all while trying to recover.

Successes: Fully expected a gain this week so I'm ok with a stay the same. It was my Birthday Tuesday, we had a big 'show' at work for our contractors, and a pretty heavy lunch out yesterday. Only 6 more days til we are on a plane to Sunny Cancun!
Struggles: Just changes in schedule. I like my routine! But I'll keep on chugging.
