Tried on a non-plus-sized Michael Kors ladies down jacket this weekend. It was an XL. It fit a bit snug but zippered right up. I didn't buy it because I live in Florida. But... I see non-plus-sized clothing in my immediate future!34

My blood pressure is ridiculous, so my extremities are cold pretty much year round, unless I sustain gentle movement to maintain circulation. I decided on the plan of action after reading the reviews on a lot of the under-desk ellipticals that read, "I HAVEN'T LOST A SINGLE POUND USING THIS THING, but it's keeping me warm at my desk, so I'm not returning it..."
You don't have to go very fast to stay warm, but the steady fidget does end up giving your NEAT a little boost. CERTAINLY not the same as an intentional workout, but noticeable, nonetheless - if only in monthly heat bill savings. (I'M TOTALLY USING THIS MONEY TO BUY MYSELF A TREAT.)

That's perfect. I have a little space heater that's under my desk, but the issue is that it only really warms up my feet. I want something to warm all of me up, and a little dude like that might do the trick.6 -
I've been able to go up a notch on my belt and I've tracked my foods for 31 days as of today.26

I don't have a fancy elliptical under my desk, but I do have what was once a tower roller for a computer tower before work did laptops as desktop replacements. I've carted that baby around for years, and I use it to roll around under the desk with my feet. I do it because I am a fidgety person by nature and I need something or energy builds up and I have to go run around to expend it. I also be-bop around the coffee machine... but I never thought about it maybe keeping me warm (my hands, arms, legs, and feet are always pretty cold).
But! It's this fun little computer skateboard I use like a party for my feet. Yippeeee!14 -
I fell down a flight of stairs! Slightly unconventional NSV but on Thanksgiving i literally fell down an entire set of very steep wooden stairs. Why on earth is this an NSV you ask? Well because while i was pretty bruised and uncomfortable the past couple of days I also didn't break anything or cause myself grave bodily harm. I can nearly guarantee you that had i fallen previous to my weight loss i would have broken something or otherwise been much more injured than i was. I think my overall body awareness and strength really helped to minimize the impact of the fall.37

Ouch! Glad you're not hurt too bad. Falling down the stairs can definitely be much more painful when you're carrying too much extra weight.6 -
I made cookies, my favorite kind of cookies, and I have only eaten a few!
Also, I love realizing that my habits are improving. This weekend I also made a shrimp dip that is really good, and it's not outrageous for calories but it is more than I normally eat for a snack (when combined with the crackers you eat with it), and because of that I've only eaten one serving so far. I love that I both assessed the calories before I ate it and that I actually chose not to eat it when it was too many.25 -
Two NSV's today. First, an older coworker who is brutally honest and straightforward today told me I am looking younger. He said that I was beginning to look tired and aged and he was concerned but now I look healthier and younger. From many people that would seem rude but coming from Mark, that is just about as genuine as you get and he meant it as nothing but the compliment it is. Second, I moved the notch on my size large Fitbit to the tightest hole today.31

Yeah for sure, i've sprained ankles and broken bones doing far far less in my heavier days.6 -
We did some shopping for Christmas and I was pleased to get into a Large jacket after being XL for as long as I can comfortably remember. My SO took one look and said it was too big and got me the Medium, it was tighter fit but I had three layers on underneath, when I took a layer off it was a great fit. 6 months ago I was looking and had to try a XXL and refused to buy it as I was determined to never need that size!31

I got my blood test results back, I am a type 2 diabetic for 20 plus years now. Still working on lowering the A1C, so more work to do there.
But my Diabetes Dr. was blown away by my Triglycerides number 101 and my grand total for Cholesterol was 97.
In her words, wow the exercise is really paying off.32 -
Just ordered clothing a size smaller than what I’ve been wearing and my old coat fits again so I don’t need to buy a new winter coat which I thought I was going to need.23

got told my collarbones looked really good today! felt good.27

Wow, in September I was wearing Large size workout shorts...
Now in December I can fit into Small size workout shorts!29 -
-Fitting easily in a regular sized towel!
I had been only using bath sheets for the last few years. My kids wanted to use the “cool” big towels so I used the a regular one expecting to be spilling out of it and i could tuck it in and cover my whole body. I had forgotten that was possible!
-Shopping for new clothes and finding that I can fit in a medium top again. I picked out larges and had to switch them out for mediums after trying them on. Makes finding clothing much easier! I’m not scavenging for the few 1x XXL or L anymore.
-family/friends staring. Getting compliments makes me feel motivated to keep up the hard work.26 -

I can honestly say I've never been complimented on my collar bones so well done10 -
Well, this is a SV , but I'm gonna post it anyway this time..;)...I celebrated Thanksgiving and my 55th birthday this past weekend at my sister's home. Although I didn't go overboard, I also didn't deny myself her delicious food and treats. This was the first time I went over on calories since I started last April. I gave myself a 2 lb weight gain margin. I was pleasantly surprised and kinda shocked I didn't gain ANY weight when I stepped on the scale today!43

Yesterday when checking into the gym, the employee stopped me and said "how long have you been a member?" I told him 2 years and he said, "wow, you are not the same person. I almost had to ask for your ID because you look nothing like your membership picture!"
Felt so good. I am a different person.40 -
Feeling pretty dang skinny today! My 34 pants are starting to get loose on me.

I made a good oopsie. I didn't measure myself in the beginning, but I had a belt that I used as "measurement" because I knew I started on the third hole, and now I'm on the eighth hole. I was counting each hole as an inch, and thought "great, I've lost five inches!". Then I realized that I should probably measure the distance between the holes. They're more than an inch between holes. I've actually lost eight inches off my waist, lol.37

'Enjoyed yummy treats in moderation' still sounds like a NSV to me
And happy belated birthday!13 -
I didn’t completely stuff myself at Thanksgiving, but ate what I wanted (just less of each dish) and felt just right afterwards. My husband and I also prioritized our health this year and fit in workouts over Thanksgiving in amongst family holiday schedules. Also, this is a SV, but for the first time, I managed to weigh the exact same from Thursday morning to Monday morning!
I’m hopeful that I can keep it up over Dec!19 -
I attended a guest lecture in a local university this evening. As I walked in, a random student in the lobby attempted to chat me up I'm 41!23

Slim and handsome fellow mfp, Congratulations!7 -
Found a pair of jeans I bought when I was 19. They've been left forgotten in a box for many years and I never thought I'd be able to wear them again. Yesterday I thought I'd see if they fit, and they do! I also fit in to a jumper I've been wanting to wear for years.

I bought a pair of size 34 (US 6) jeans 2 years ago when I had initially lost 30Kgs and only wore it once or twice before the summer came. That was also the summer that I started to regain a lot of weight so I was unable to fit into the pair of jeans when winter came around.
Fast-forward to today. Decided to try on the pair of Jeans as I have lost 10Kgs during the last few months, and lo-and-behold, not only do they fit, they are slightly too big around the waist! I had realized I was getting close to my previous lowest weight, but did not think I would be able to wear those clothes again so soon.
Now I am going to have to look in the boxes of clothes I had put away once they did not fit anymore, to see if there are other surprises like this waiting for me29 -
Yesterday I fit into size 18 dress the first time. Its one of those (outrageous!) true to size employer uniforms! It's official!!32
