    "raising awareness"

the phrase commonly used to justify something that contributes nothing to solving the actual problem or achieving the intended goal.

    Excellent post!

So don't I. It's a New England thing and it confuses me every time. When I first moved here I had no idea what it meant. Instead of saying, "I agree" or "so do I", many say "so don't I". Wait...so do you agree with me or not?

Excessive profanity because it shows a lack of intelligence and limited vocabulary to express any deep thoughts.

Happy holidays. It's Merry Christmas. MERRY FKN CHRISTMAS

I say Merry Christmas, too & recently have gotten silence in return a couple of times. Oh, no... the horror that wishing someone a happy or merry anything can be taken as offense in these PC times is a bit silly.

If someone wished me a Happy Chanaukah, I'd just say it in return... no need to jump up & down, screaming that I don't follow that religion. Be happy anyway!

    Merry Christmas!

This is probably a common one, but “I could care less” gets under my skin.

I also cringe when I hear people use babyish words, for example saying baggie or bootie instead of bag or boot.

When the outgoing message says “I’ll get back to you at my earliest convenience”. Really? So, you’ll get back to me when it’s convenient for you? Lol They are either extremely honest or confused. lol.
