I have already hit my 2019 goal. The trick now is to stay there as I travel through the minefield of December. 😂
I need this more than ever now that I am in maintenance! I might even manage to lose a bit more ever so slowly.

THERE ARE NO QUICK FIXES OR SHORTCUTS to achieving permanent change.
REMINDERS One or two thoughts which might give heart to some of you.- Daily weight fluctuations are normal, and can be as much as 2 lbs a day for no apparent reason.
- A general downward trend is what we are looking for.
- Eating out can cause apparent weight gain because of high sodium levels, but usually goes quickly. Drinking extra water helps with this.
- The human body does not react instantly to what we do to it. Sometimes it can take several days to see results.
- Plateaus are a normal part of the process. The body is consolidating and adapting to your new way of eating/exercising.
- The closer you get to your goal weight, the more difficult it becomes to lose weight, as your body becomes more efficient at using what you feed it.
- When you exercise you build muscle, which takes up less space than fat, so use measurements as well as weight to assess your progress.
- Getting/Staying fit and healthy requires a lifestyle change for most people.

I haven't had any issues like that, no. My first thought is that logically (at least in my own logic) gastric issues would stem from what is being eaten rather than a period of fasting. If IF works for you otherwise, it might be worth looking into what you're eating that could be causing the issue at the 2-3 week mark. I imagine you have an understanding of what foods cause you issues since you've had issues with GERD. I always thought that I was sensitive to casein(a protein in dairy), but since cutting out grains (and sugar) I can handle cheese, butter, and heavy whipping cream with no issues at all.
I've also heard about the issues with lactose but not grains. I'll try this time to cut out processed carbs like bread and lactose products to see if this works, I'm vegetarian so cutting out grains is really hard for me

Goal... Less than I started
12/09 60.15kg I have a holiday from work until the 6th Jan and we're heading out of town on the 11th until the 2nd. No gym so I'll be swimming daily and doing what I can at home.
12/10 59.95kg. Had calories left over yesterday and left them as that! Last gym session today then packing up for the trip
12/11 60.05kg. Travel day but I've packed my food. No chance of any exercise just 8 hours in the car.
12/12 60.05kg.went well over calories yesterday but back in charge today. Going to do a home strength training the head to the beach for a long swim
12/13 60.6kg which is no surprise after weds. Going to workout at home and swim today, the beach was lovely yesterday.
12/14 60kg so all going well. Workout planned and a swim if it stops raining
12/15 60.0kg didn't exercise yesterday as still sore and dealing with builders. Going to get strength training in today.
12/16 59.45kg. 😁 Will do some strength training and spend the afternoon on the beach. Hubby can deal with the builders today!
12/17 59.45kg.Good job I did exercise and swim yesterday as I drank wine and snacked later. 🤞🏽For tomorrow! Electricity went for a few hours in the storm so it was unbelievably hot without a fan. Still very stormy which might limit my swim but not the strength training.
12/18 60.55kg after 2 days of sabotage! Also didn't move out of the house yesterday. Today going to do morning workouts, supervise builders then go to the beach and do long swim

12/09 – 146.5 (BF 33.4%, MM 62.8%)
12/10 – 145.5 (BF 33.2%. MM 62.9%) – I had such a busy weekend, I didn’t have time to post. I know I didn’t eat very well, so I’m actually surprised to see a drop today.
12/11 – 145.5 (BF 33.1%, MM 63.1%) – I’m very glad I didn’t bounce back up today.
12/12 – 145 – (BF 33.1%, MM 63%) – I managed to get a 25 minute workout in last night.
12/13 - 146
12/14 - 145
12/15 - 147
12/16 - 146 - My computer at work was down on Friday and then I was so busy with Christmas decorating that I didn't get a chance to hop on here. I did keep logging my weight though. I am really struggling to behave myself with all the cookies and candy around the office and my house. Since I've been in maintenance this past year, I hadn't had a real problem staying away from the goodies, but there's been some extra stress at work and home and the quitting smoking has added to the snacking. Other than the two parties coming up, I'm really going to try to buckle down this week with my calories and water.
12/17 - 146.5 (BF33.3%, MM 62.9%) - Tuesday bounce which is expected from the weekend.
12/18 - 145.5 - (BF 33.2%, MM 63%) - Moving slowly back down. I believe that the willpower exerted by passing my co-workers homemade peanut butter blossoms he has set out for the office should add 500 calories a day to my TDEE. Just a thought as I sit here typing this while seeing them out of the corner of my eye. See you next round!

Was up until after midnight coughing up a storm but now I feel much better, despite only about 3 1/2 hours of sleep. Don't believe its a sinus infection but trying everything I can to avoid the onset of one. Pulled out my humidifier and had it on all evening, as well as my himalayan rock salt lamp. Had my never-before-used diffuser on my nightstand with my "breathe" blend essential oils. Used a neti pot before bed to flush and slept with my head elevated on a pile of pillows. Still sneezing up a storm with some congestion and very runny nose but I can breathe! Focus is on recovery, not weight loss so I'll be content with my results of this round. See y'all next round!
Previous Day's Comments12/09
12/10
12/11 - Okay, not bad for traveling! Back to where I was before BF left. In the truck all day Sunday, unpacking Monday, and car all day yesterday. I'm extremely dehydrated (its a 12 hour drive, I didn't want to stop too awful much by overhydrating) but I did end up sweating in my sleep quite a bit last night that just overcame me. Big water bottle came with me to work today to remedy it. I'm now officially on my own in Kansas. BF text me on my drive in that I need to hurry up and move down because he's meeting all these amazing people and wants me down there to partake in the fun. Guess its going to be a lot more job applications. I do get to call a recruiter today, though, so hopefully he can help a lot more than I can do on my own. Hoping within 6 months I'll be headed down there. Money-wise I'm hoping my bonus and tax return will assist with said move, otherwise I'm going to be in big trouble. But we will figure it out, as always. That's what budgets are for, right?
12/12 - Had our big Christmas lunch here at work yesterday. I was so stuffed it hurt and didn't get hungry again until about 730 (my neighbor was just making food and kindly offered me some since I didn't have dinner made). Surprised I'm not higher, honestly. Scale did flash higher a few times but settled in on this number so I went with it. Depending on today, it may show up tomorrow. Especially since I'm feeling rather sad. Normally I wouldn't be seeing BF on Wednesday night but I felt the lack of his presence anyway. Thankfully my neighbor is so wonderful and took me in. He's from Texas and would love to move back, but because of his kids, he cannot so he understands my homesickness very well. I will get through this! It is only temporary (: Y'all help, as well, by distracting me with your successes and general day-to-day life. I love it!! Gets me through the day.
12/13 - Honestly very surprised I stayed the same. I ate a lot more yesterday and had a few drinks a little later at night. Also woke up later as I got to sleep in today. I'm happy with this! Hopefully this weekend I can focus on prepping meals (whether that be cooking or just putting a plan in place for this week) and start back on a downward trend. I'm also hoping that I can get into the gym at work a couple times a week now that BF is gone and sitting at home is really depressing right now. Good happy endorphins for the win! My neighbor downstairs is also helpful. He is from Texas but stuck in Kansas due to his divorce and agreement with the kids. He lives alone when his girls aren't with him so we will probably hang out and keep each other company more often. Definitely helped last night. Was on a downward spiral so I went down there for tacos and football. Within minutes, I was in a much better mood, I just needed a friendly face and a distraction. At least I have him and the ladies across the street to keep me going until I can move.
12/14 - whoosh much? Definitely thought I gained by wow, I'll take it!! Made homemade chicken and rice last night to get me through a few days and got some of my leftover beef stew out so I could mix things up a bit and not get too bored. Feeling pretty okay with my eating despite not being primal like I want quite yet. Also, go Army, beat Navy (west point grad, I gotta cheer)
12/15 - I apparently was right to feel comfortable-ish with my new eating habits. They aren't great, but they're better than eating out all the time. Hoping in January I can start refining my nutrition more while continuing to see a drop. I can't believe I'm this far down, especially after I spent almost 6 months getting down to 153.x before ballooning back up to my (January) start weight just a couple months ago. Proof that mindset is a HUGE factor in my weight. I need to take measurements about now to make sure these drops aren't destroying my muscle too much. Was going to do that this morning but got distracted by the snow (I hate snow, so its not necessarily a happy distraction). Guess I can try tomorrow before work or I'll have to wait until next weekend. I plan on getting back to the gym this week, goal of 2x/week until I rebuild my habit and can increase the frequency. Hoping to maintain or drop again tomorrow instead of a Monday morning weekend bump up
12/16 - Um... what? Guess the weekend bump is inevitable? I'm going to chalk this up to hibernating inside as we got hit with a nasty winter storm yesterday. My neighbor ladies made chili for dinner and I do believe it was rather salty. Mix that with some slight dehydration and we have the perfect concoction of Monday morning bump up. Drive to work, which normally takes 20-25 minutes, took a little over 45 minutes this morning. That's after I slid out of my garage on a sheet of ice (my driveway is a giant hill). But I made it safe and sound, now to stay inside all day and pray the snow doesn't continue like they said it would.
12/17 - Takes one day to put it on and several days to take it off. But I'm okay with that. Yesterday I couldn't tell if the winter storm brought in such dry weather that my sinuses and throat were just dry and sore or if I was sick. Good morning to me, I'm sick. Just a head cold but I feel miserable. Its enough to make sleeping horrid so all I could do with my alarm this morning is moan and say "its only Tuesday... I quit." Ah, well. Coworker got me one of those Airborne tablets for my water and luckily for me, I still have a small stock of honey and tea in my office cabinet. I'm not going to let this get me down! Brought leftover beef stew for lunch and have chicken and rice soup for dinner. Its soup season in my household! Thinking chili and hamburger-vegetable soup are on the menu in the coming weeks.

I think 155 - 154 is our "stuck" weight for both of us lol !! I hope you feel better soon x6 -
R95 SW 134.2
R96 SW 134/133.6
R97 134.4/133.2
R98 133.8/132.8
UGW 131
Goal for this round is to stay in the 133's. I have three weeks before my trip so if I can make it to the 132's that would be outstanding!
12/09 133.8. ate too many calories after doing so well on Saturday.
12/10 133.6 I'll take it, but will need to be careful today. I sense some self sabotage coming on...
12/11 133.2 I ate the cookie and a small piece of black forest cake, but I also exercised and was careful the rest of the day. This evening I'll be cooking so that's good because I won't feel like eating cookies 😃
12/12 133.6 this evening there's a holiday dinner. I realize I'm actually much better at events than I am usually. I'm so careful. But when I'm at home, little less. I think it's because I'm counting and weighing, oddly enough. Need to think about it!
12/13 134.4 that holiday dinner was not great. I tried at first. Minimal appetizer. Then they brought a plate of butternut squash ravioli and they were drowned in brown butter sauce. I hate that stuff. It tastes like nothing and makes everything so greasy. So I tried to eat the least greasy ravioli and had two rolls out of irritation. Anyway. Sodium in the rolls. Sodium in the pickled veggies for appetizers. I'm not going to stress about this because it will be fine.
12/14 133.6. see? Fine! I drank a lot of water. Also migraine made it so that I could not eat too much! Friends enjoyed the dinner but I didn't. I didn't want to cancel and have all that food around.
12/15 134. Lunch out at a friend's with a very large portion. Leftover dip...that'll do it. Even though it bounces around a bit I am hopeful that im going in the right direction.
12/16 134
12/17 133.8
12/18 132.8 not sure what I'm doing... maybe it's a blip but I'll take it!11 -
Original High Starting Weight 178 (March 2019)
SW this round 165.6
GW this round 164. 4 Get back to the weight I was before Thanksgiving.
UGW 135
Goals 1. Walk two miles or at least hit 10,000 steps everyday
2. Due a toning workout for 20 minutes 5X a week
3. Count calories, less pasta, bread
Ending weight from last round. 165.8 lbs
12/09 - 165.6 (+1.2)
12/10 -165.4 lbs, (+1) I am surprised at the loss considering, I was good all day but my stomach was not well, and I gave into a trail mix about 9pm. On the upside, my stomach did start feeling better and I could go to bed. Before I stepped on the scale this morning, I was thinking of giving up for this month. So I will keep at it. It's just to much going on this month and I know, I am constantly going to be disappointed.
12/11 - 163.6 lbs. (-.8) Made to my goal, just have to maintain. This is a nice surprise. I went shopping with a friend but we both are trying to keep the pounds down so we opted to not go out after shopping but to her place. Only had one light beer and supper was popcorn because I can't drink on an empty stomach. By the time I got home, it was late, no time for snacking just bed. Perfect.
12/12 - 163.2 lbs (-.1.2) on track
12/13 - 163.2 (-1.2) on track, loving that I am not bouncing back up. Though this was a fluke. So glad I didn't give up earlier this round.
12/14 - 163.6 (~.8) while waiting for my son to get home, caved in a late night snack.
12/15 - 163.8 (-.6). Creeping up ward but I got a head cold, old age, and girl issues all dumped on me at once. So I got half the steps in that I want and a third of the steps that I actually was doing this week. Plus I allowed myself a beer and bowl of ice cream to drown in but still stayed under calories. Praying I get better soon I am having Christmas at my house next weekend.
12/16 - 164.0 (-.4) Still slow on exercise.
12/17 - 164.0 not bad for sampling goodies i made, like fudge and toffee but how else do you know if they turned out. Lol
12/18 163.4 Very happy with this, because I traveled yesterday to shop with the kids and ate out, no exercise, little water, etc.

Back for Round 98
Female / Age 62 / 5'2"
OW: 158.5 (12/30/18)
UG: 135.0 (for now, healthy weight for me)
Intro:Let me introduce myself. I struggled with my weight as a teen, topping out at nearly 200. I dropped it after high school and got to a healthy weight. Every major life changed has brought weight back on - having kids, pre-menopause, menopause, family tragedy, post menopause. I've knocked it back down each time, and have been surprised that each time required a different strategy, and resulted in a different type of lifestyle change to maintain. Each time as been much harder and slower. At this point, it's moving off at a snail's pace.
Motivation. I have a hyatial hernia. It does not bother me as long as I keep the weight at 150 or below. Every female on my mother's side has had arthritic knees, and I'm starting to feel twinges. They have also sustained falls and broken bones. My husband had a major health scare a coupe of years ago. The idea of being put out of commission by a preventable injury or illness scares the bejimminies out of me.
Goals. The goals at this stage are to drop weight to a healthy range, realign my eating style to a lifestyle that will keep me healthy into my golden years, and strengthen the muscles that support my knees, ankles, and shoulders, along with my core, to prevent injury.
Dropping weight post menopausal has been so difficult, I need this to be the last time. 10-15 pounds used to be easy to drop, so that was always my warning bell to focus. Not so much now. Looks like a 3-5 pound fluctuation will be it.
A healthy weight for me is 135-140. I've always looked anorexic at 120. We'll see how things are at 135, and go from there.
Round StatsR95: SW 146.3 GW 146.0 EW 145.3 Results -1.0

Strategy: Up the hydrating foods. Fruit with breakfast. Salad/veggies as bulk of lunch. Healthy dinner. Limit/eliminate processed carbs and sugars. Zero calorie intake after 8pm. Strength exercises 3 days on/1 day rest. Regular movement through day to compensate for desk job.
R98 Challenges: Continue to increase the amount of plant based hydration in my diet. Get back to workout schedule. This is the week of our big monthly briefing at work - try not to let it derail me. Start planning for family Christmas.
R98 SW: 143.8
R98 GW: 142.8
12/9 (M) 143.6 (Trend Weight 144.9) Ate well yesterday - within calorie range, but of plan. Somebody needs to go to the grocery store 😳
12/10 (T) 144.6 (Trend Weight 144.8) I'm gonna blame it on the moon waxing gibbous. It certainly isn't the Hershey Bar
12/11 (W) 144.2 (Trend Weight 144.8) Better. 6 days and 1.4 lbs to get to goal. Still off on workouts. Still need to get to grocery store - I'm literally out of things that are part of my plan.
12/12 (T) 144.5 (Trend Weight 144.7)
12/13 (F) 144.7 (Trend Weight 144.7)
12/14 (S) 143.6 (Trend Weight 144.6) I have been a hot mess. New boss and new staff member at work. Getting them up to speed, dealing with monthly reporting, and just the day to day stuff. I was offline here and had 140+ posts to catch up on 😳 Hugs to all who need them, and high 5's to all with great progress!
I'm still off on workouts. Fitbit sat on charger for 3 days. I still haven't been to grocery store. Been eating from stock in freezer and cupboards. Managing to stay close to calorie allowance given Loire activity. Finished working up meal plan to get to Christmas Eve. Will hit grocery store early tomorrow. I had my dates for this round all hosed up. They're fixed. 😜
Had a spike, but back to Round SW. Should be able to net a loss with some focus.
12/15 (S) 144.1 (Trend Weight 144.6) Bouncy bouncy. Anyone remember the song Red Rubber Ball? 😂 Ate well within my allowances yesterday and got plenty of water. I started my workouts up again last night. Just my body going "What the heck?!"
12/16 (M) 145.9 (Trend Weight 144.7) Well 💩 I got nothing. Don't know if it's me, the scale, or the alignment of the stars. I think that red rubber ball has a super ball core and just bounced injury the neighbor's yard.
12/17 (T) 145.8 (Trend Weight 144.8) I have no idea. It's down a tad, so that's a good thing. Keeping my head in the game. It will head back down. Not in time for this round though.
12/18 (W) 145.3 (Trend Weight 144.8) Whelp, not where I wanted to end the round. Looking back there are 2 spikes followed by loss. That's not bad and to be expected. I'm also seeing that I've missed way more exercise than I got in.
I also see that I went the entire round needing groceries. Now, we didn't starve 😜 We ate from what we had on hand in the freezer and cupboards, and I stayed within calorie range. But it goes to prove a lot of this is what I'm eating. And not eating. I haven't analyzed my diary, but I'd say higher in sodium and processed carbs from canned and packaged goods, combined with minimal fresh produce as taken a toll. I did hit the grocery store yesterday, so planning to rebound in R99 😊
R98 End Results ~ 1.5 lb gain

New Day - New Start
Hi, my name is Deb. I'm 57 years old and 5'5" tall. I've fought my weight my entire life. After 35+ years "dieting", I still have not figured out what works for me but I have to keep trying. So...
I know its two weeks before Christmas which is always at least a 5 lb gain for me, but if I don't start again right now, it will end up a 10-20 lb gain.
12/9 - 180.4 - I haven't been tracking (actually writing down) what I eat. I'm going to start that today. I haven't been exercising. I'm going to start that today. I am in the habit of posting on MFP here in this challenge (yay me) and will continue by posting my calories, exercise and moods. I love coming here and reading about and sharing in everyone's journey.
12/10 - 177.0 - Good Start. Calories: 1126. Exercise: 20 minutes on the treadmill.
12/11 - 175.0 - Another good day. Calories: 1193. Exercise: 30 minutes on the treadmill
12/12 - 174.6 - Staying on track. Calories 1271. Exercise: 40 minutes on the treadmill
12/13 - 174.0 - Calories: 1091. Exercise: 30 minutes on treadmill/15 minutes on bike.
12/14 - 174.0 - Calories within limit but had salty crackers with my vegetable soup. Exercise: 80 active Fitbit minutes.
12/15 - 174.6 - Calories were a little over due to a glass of wine but the sodium in my veggie soup caused the gain I think. Exercise: 38 active Fitbit minutes. 10657 steps
12/16 - 174.4 - Calories were under, 60 minutes on the treadmill. Put up the tree and wrapped gifts. Spent the day inside looking out at the falling snow. Yesterday was a good day
12/17 - 174.0 - Calories under, 80 active fitbit minutes. Sun is peaking through. Snow is pretty. Roads are clear. Day is looking good.
12/18 - 173.6 - Calories under, no exercise. A bit of unexpected Christmas stress but its a new day. Got to move today!

I think you might be right! I do love watching and reading about your journey since it is so similar to mine. You are certainly my daily inspiration, especially on a bad day. I see your accomplishments and I realize I can do this as well! So thank you for being so open We both can do this!!
And already feeling so much better. Had another couple sneezing fits since I first posted today and now I can breathe through my nose! It's going to be a great day so long as I keep improving like this!7 -

12/09 - 173.4
Two parties yesterday. I did the best I could under the circumstances, but did eat too much. Lots of salt, and not enough water, so some of this is definitely water - I can feel it. Oh well. I’ve decided to just eat as healthfully as possible between holiday shindigs, do the best I can at said shindigs, and try not to gain. ‘It’s the season!
12/10 - 172.6
Lunch out with a friend yesterday, but I behaved. Off to the gym!
12/11 - 174
Whaaaa??? Must be the Sunday parties, cuz I’ve been on track since then. Lots of veggies today!
12/12 - 174.6
Nope. I didn’t do this yesterday, so this is time lag still. I had an event last evening and did eat some, but not excessive. No events today, though! Nothing until Sunday, so maybe I can recover a bit before the rest of the holiday gatherings.
12/13 - 174.2
I hauled myself out of bed and was at the Y at 6 this morning — yay! I used to be an early bird for both play (exercise) and work (writing), but got out of the habit last year with cross-country move followed by 6 months of illness/pain. But I’m working myself back into the habit of being very early at the Y (aiming for 5-5:30 arrival) followed by early start writing. I’m a little zombiefied this morning as I couldn’t sleep (and was sorely tempted to whine “tomorrow” and roll over!) but I’m glad I did it. The rest of Dec is the warm up for the “grand opening” in January. Now to the writing.... Have a great weekend, all!
12/14 - 174
Creeping, but in the right direction.
12/15 - 174
Yesterday I reminded myself why I prefer to avoid shopping at all costs this time of year! I hope those of you who “do” the holidays are surviving unscathed. Enjoy the rest of the weekend!
12/16 - 174.4
Yesterday was tough. Birthday cake at church in the morning, not much water all day, and sweets last night. Ugh.
12/17 - ???
Forgot to post?!?
12/18 - 174
Okay, not great but considering all the parties and lunches the past week, not bad. See you at R99!

Round 98:
Female, 58 yy, 4'11''
OSW: 177.1 lbs
LTG: 105 - 110.0 lbs or BF 23-25% (or lower, we’ll see :-)
STG: 110 (maintain), BF 25%
Goals for 10 Day Challenge: stay at or below 110
Day/Weight/Comment
EW round 97: 109.4, BF% 25.9
Day/Weight/Comment
12/09 111.4, BF% 26.5 Well the usual Monday bump! Sunday is heavy weight training day + higher calories so that seems to be followed by a bump - whether it is carbs or DOMS from squats/deadlifts/benchpress, etc, this is a temporary bump and should get back to last round’s weight soon. My Birthday is Thursday and DH’s is Friday (going to a black tie optional dinner dance) so some challenges with eating out ahead, but not out of the ordinary. Will go to spin class tonight (should have plenty of glycogen stores as skipped cardio yesterday) Pre-logged dinner so should be on track for the day!
12/10 110.0, BF% 26.1 Bye to part of the weekend bump! Weight training in am and cycle class after work today!
12/11 108.8, BF 25.8 Not sure where that whoosh came from ???? but will take the new low for however long it can stay around - 3.8 lbs to goal!!!! (But if this keeps up will need to increase calories again) Went shopping yesterday during lunch to find a dress for dinner/dance Friday night and excited to find a long black dress that could be hemmed in time for Friday! Found 2 other cute cocktail dresses too so may get one of those to take to Miami after Christmas for going out on New Year’s Eve or special dinners! Even though I ate leftover grilled chicken thighs (with skin) ahead of time, was so hungry in the afternoon that fished out the leftover Halloween candy kids stashed in my bag (comparison of Krackle versus Crunch - tie) and then went to campus convenience store and bought a quest protein bar before spin class! (need to figure out how to make my own high protein snacks that are portable and not outrageous in calories - the Quest was OK at 190 calories, but would rather have something less sweet!!!) Refueled last night for dinner - fresh clams & linguine (with lots of garlic!!!) so hope glycogen levels are back up for cardio tonight after work!
12/12 109.6, BF% 25.8% Increase, but within normal variation and not surprising at all given the 1+ lb drop yesterday! Birthday today - and thrilled that I reached 110 - original goal set in Feb this year! But as typical this time of year I get to give a final exam from 2-5! Will go to step class this morning - ankle feels back to normal so will try this (still low impact) but continue with calf raises and single leg exercises to strengthen. Then session with trainer so hope to get a great workout in during the first half of the day as not sure timing of activities today will allow going to spin class in the evening. (Probably need to diversify cardio more but love the feeling after a great spin class :-) Not sure what dinner plans are - one of my daughters was part of the set design for the school play so we may go to see the evening performance at 7, but not sure when dinner fits into that schedule, as her tutoring session ends at 6:30 and need to account for travel between locations! May just postpone family B’day dinner/celebrations to the weekend!
12/13 109.4, BF 26.0% Small drop and still below STG for the round!!! - which is nice given takeout pizza (usually excess sodium) last night so that we could get to the play in time for DD. No DOMS from weight training yesterday or bruises on delts from the bar doing front squats either!!! DH’s Birthday is today so we are going to a black tie (optional) dinner dance! Pre-logged wine and will try to go back and find the menu and prelog food. I will go to express cycle over lunch to get cardio in for the day and then pick up dress from alterations/errands. I need to make sure that I have some healthy mini-meals (I can’t eat lunch before cycle) so that I don’t get to the dinner and then eat too many appetizers with wine! If I can convince DH to stay for some of the dance part then can dance away some of the excess (not sure if they will play in punk music to get him on the dance floor LOL)

12/15 110.8, BF 26.4% as expected
12/16 112.8, BF 27.0% Eating out, dessert for birthday celebrations, more wine than normal, two beers and fries to celebrate the end of the semester last night with students after their final presentations + DOMS from weight training Sunday are likely all contributors to the 4 lb gain (extended) weekend bump since 12/11 - but I know by now that when weight comes on this fast it can come off just as fast! Went to the gym this morning for a Manic Monday workout (step class + spin cardio blast plus stretching for DOMS)! Meals for day are on target for calories and macros. May not get back to the round low or starting weight by the end of the round, but still have time before Christmas & travel to work on this and worth the calories to celebrate with friends and loved ones!
12/17 112.2,26.8% BF 26.8% right direction
12/18 110.6, BF 26.3% Yeah almost back to STG of 110! Overall a gain for the round in weight, but extra challenges with Birthdays and other celebrations! And hopefully some of the gain is with muscle! Expect that the rest of the extended weekend bump will dissipate soon but hope to maintain around 110 +/- 1 until after the New Year. So all in all a successful round and on my long term trend line!

12/09 266.8 I was very hungry yesterday and even got a little lightheaded. I ended up going out for a high calorie dinner, but I felt much better afterwards. I think I didn’t eat enough on a couple of my high activity days.
12/10 265.4 And back down. I had another hungry day, not as bad as the day before though. I protein packed my dinner but stayed in calorie goal.
12/11 264.6 I upped my calorie goal to losing only a pound a week to help get a grip on this hungry stretch. I didn’t end up eating that high, but I wasn’t as low as normal either. On the plus the extra 200 or so calories that I ate throughout the day did help.
12/12 265.2 With the several hungry days and eating higher a couple of days I’m glad I haven’t bounced too much. I’m waiting for tom on top of that so we’ll see how the rest of this round goes. Yesterday I was about 50 calories more than my lower calorie goal. I would have been on track, but I didn’t notice my mayo had gone bad until after I had made my dinner side and had to improvise some of my dinner.
12/13 266.6 Pizza for dinner last night and tom showed up late last night. With only 5 more days until my break I’m considering just starting now rather than fight for the little bit I’ll lose in that time frame.
12/14 265.8 I did pretty well yesterday even with a dinner out. I stayed well in calories as we ordered from our favorite hibachi place and I got chicken with extra veggies.
12/15 266.0
12/16 264.4 No idea where this low came from. I’ve been eating higher for the last few days and not really tracking or weighing my food, but I haven’t been binging either. I think I needed a couple of mostly unplugged days, but I do know that tracking/weighing will be a most for weight loss success for me.
12/17 265.2 I think my scale needs some new batteries, either that or I’m swaying when I’m weighing. Either is possible. I picked the highest weight it showed, and I have to say I’m happy that I’m staying within the range I wanted for a maintenance stretch. I’m also not craving or grabbing the foods I thought I would and that’s even better.
12/18 266.2 I’m fighting yet another chest cold this season so yesterday involved soup and crackers.
TRG + 1 pound, not bad for a maintenance round
