12/09 266.8 I was very hungry yesterday and even got a little lightheaded. I ended up going out for a high calorie dinner, but I felt much better afterwards. I think I didn’t eat enough on a couple of my high activity days.
12/10 265.4 And back down. I had another hungry day, not as bad as the day before though. I protein packed my dinner but stayed in calorie goal.
12/11 264.6 I upped my calorie goal to losing only a pound a week to help get a grip on this hungry stretch. I didn’t end up eating that high, but I wasn’t as low as normal either. On the plus the extra 200 or so calories that I ate throughout the day did help.
12/12 265.2 With the several hungry days and eating higher a couple of days I’m glad I haven’t bounced too much. I’m waiting for tom on top of that so we’ll see how the rest of this round goes. Yesterday I was about 50 calories more than my lower calorie goal. I would have been on track, but I didn’t notice my mayo had gone bad until after I had made my dinner side and had to improvise some of my dinner.
12/13 266.6 Pizza for dinner last night and tom showed up late last night. With only 5 more days until my break I’m considering just starting now rather than fight for the little bit I’ll lose in that time frame.
12/14 265.8 I did pretty well yesterday even with a dinner out. I stayed well in calories as we ordered from our favorite hibachi place and I got chicken with extra veggies.

Two parties yesterday. I did the best I could under the circumstances, but did eat too much. Lots of salt, and not enough water, so some of this is definitely water - I can feel it. Oh well. I’ve decided to just eat as healthfully as possible between holiday shindigs, do the best I can at said shindigs, and try not to gain. ‘It’s the season!

I hauled myself out of bed and was at the Y at 6 this morning — yay! I used to be an early bird for both play (exercise) and work (writing), but got out of the habit last year with cross-country move followed by 6 months of illness/pain. But I’m working myself back into the habit of being very early at the Y (aiming for 5-5:30 arrival) followed by early start writing. I’m a little zombiefied this morning as I couldn’t sleep (and was sorely tempted to whine “tomorrow” and roll over!) but I’m glad I did it. The rest of Dec is the warm up for the “grand opening” in January.

12/11 - Okay, not bad for traveling! Back to where I was before BF left. In the truck all day Sunday, unpacking Monday, and car all day yesterday. I'm extremely dehydrated (its a 12 hour drive, I didn't want to stop too awful much by overhydrating) but I did end up sweating in my sleep quite a bit last night that just overcame me. Big water bottle came with me to work today to remedy it. I'm now officially on my own in Kansas. BF text me on my drive in that I need to hurry up and move down because he's meeting all these amazing people and wants me down there to partake in the fun. Guess its going to be a lot more job applications. I do get to call a recruiter today, though, so hopefully he can help a lot more than I can do on my own. Hoping within 6 months I'll be headed down there. Money-wise I'm hoping my bonus and tax return will assist with said move, otherwise I'm going to be in big trouble. But we will figure it out, as always. That's what budgets are for, right?
12/12 - Had our big Christmas lunch here at work yesterday. I was so stuffed it hurt and didn't get hungry again until about 730 (my neighbor was just making food and kindly offered me some since I didn't have dinner made). Surprised I'm not higher, honestly. Scale did flash higher a few times but settled in on this number so I went with it. Depending on today, it may show up tomorrow. Especially since I'm feeling rather sad. Normally I wouldn't be seeing BF on Wednesday night but I felt the lack of his presence anyway. Thankfully my neighbor is so wonderful and took me in. He's from Texas and would love to move back, but because of his kids, he cannot so he understands my homesickness very well. I will get through this! It is only temporary (: Y'all help, as well, by distracting me with your successes and general day-to-day life. I love it!! Gets me through the day.
12/13 - Honestly very surprised I stayed the same. I ate a lot more yesterday and had a few drinks a little later at night. Also woke up later as I got to sleep in today. I'm happy with this! Hopefully this weekend I can focus on prepping meals (whether that be cooking or just putting a plan in place for this week) and start back on a downward trend. I'm also hoping that I can get into the gym at work a couple times a week now that BF is gone and sitting at home is really depressing right now. Good happy endorphins for the win! My neighbor downstairs is also helpful. He is from Texas but stuck in Kansas due to his divorce and agreement with the kids. He lives alone when his girls aren't with him so we will probably hang out and keep each other company more often. Definitely helped last night. Was on a downward spiral so I went down there for tacos and football. Within minutes, I was in a much better mood, I just needed a friendly face and a distraction. At least I have him and the ladies across the street to keep me going until I can move.

I'm a pickleball addict and have been plagued with shoulder/chest/elbow/wrist injuries for about a year. My new plan is to incorporate strength training.
Day/Weight/Comment:
12/09 (Monday) - 134.2 - the weight is going to come off slowly partly because that's my MO and also because I'll be strength training and hopefully adding muscle. Took my measurements last week and will compare those in a month or two. Feeling motivated and on task!
12/10 (Tuesday) - 134.2 again - works for me. I kicked yesterday's behind. 2 hours of pickleball and 30 minutes of strength training (chest and triceps). And ate on point, ended the day with a protein smoothie for dinner. Was pretty exhausted by the end of the day and thought I'd be crazy sore this morning but I'm only a little sore, not too bad at all. Today is a rest day, will do it all again tomorrow. Planning homemade vegetarian chili for dinner tonight. I find it harder to eat right on rest days - partly because I'm not busy working out so I get bored and hungry and partly because I don't have the extra calories available from exercising.
12/11(Wednesday) - 135.2 - hmmph. I’m sure I’m holding onto water as my muscles repair because I am sore from the weight lifting Monday. That has to be it because my calories were under goal yesterday. I may have also had a tad too much salt in the chili last night. Not to worry, still on the right path.
12/12 (Thursday) - 135.0 - Completed day 2 of my new strength training routine yesterday (back and biceps) and I am so very sore this morning. But that's a good thing, looking forward to getting stronger and thwarting any overuse injuries from pickleball. Today is usually a rest day but I'm going to do a pickleball drills class for a couple hours, plenty of cardio. Feeling good and trying not to get frustrated with the scale. I knew adding strength training would stall out the scale, just need to be ok with it. Ate great yesterday, the scale will come around. Crustless broccoli quiche for dinner tonight.
12/13 (Friday) - 135.0 - again. Expecting the scale to give me a nice drop soon, maybe tomorrow? Had a nice legs and shoulders workout this morning followed by 2 hours of pickleball. Plenty of calories burned, just need to eat on point the rest of the day. No pickleball this weekend, the courts are booked for a volleyball tournament. Will have to find some other way to get my exercise.
12/14 (Saturday) - 133.8 - woot! There it is. Now to keep it there. Planning drinks and dinner out with friends tonight, will find a way to make good choices.

12/09 -205.9 Yesterday I was able to keep my evening snacking under control. I'm going to try to go out for a run tonight before it gets dark outside.
12/10 -206.5 I got home late yesterday after work, so it was too dark to run outside. I may have to bite the bullet and go to gym and run on the treadmill after work today. I did not get enough water today, working on that today.
12/11 -206.5 Yesterday at work there was a Christmas lunch and cookie exchange, and, assuming everything goes as usual, I expect a bump on the scale in another day or two. However, I am proud that I didn't go totally overboard and only ate those things that I really wanted to eat and enjoyed. Strength coach tonight.

I ate reasonably, and shared some ice cream with my wife as we walked around after a movie. I'm STILL sore from basketball (on Saturday), but it's a "good" sore (muscular, but nothing "pulled").
12/10: 219.4 (+0.2)/18.4 (0.0). For some reason my "good sore" turned into both of my knees hurting pretty bad yesterday. They're better today, but that was at least mildly distressing. The next couple of days are going to be pretty busy for me. I likely won't get to the gym until Thursday or Friday; I'll just think of the next couple of days as continued recovery from one day of basketball. Hmm... maybe I need to reframe that.
12/11: 219.8 (+0.4)/18.4 (0.0). I'm having some minor medical issues to go along with my migraines, which have been off-and-on since last Sunday (a week and a half). If I wasn't aware of it before, medical issues are a trigger for me; I apparently believe that all of my symptoms will disappear if I eat enough food (I have no evidence to support this theory, by the way). I'm struggling to stay on the right track. I'm not going to be able to go to the gym until Friday, which is cramping my good workout habits as well. I will keep trying to right this ship, however. I'm not giving up!
12/12: 219.6 (-0.2)/18.4 (0.0). I went to my parents to celebrate my dad's 78th birthday. I tried to be good. I'm not really trusting my number here. We'll see what happens tomorrow. I CAN'T WAIT to get back to the gym tomorrow. My body creaks when I'm away for too long.

She came down the stairs and started telling me something like, "We need to do a better job taking care of our plants." I quickly informed her that "we" didn't need to do a better job; SHE did. I don't buy plants. My wife has a "black thumb" when it comes to them. She does not ask me for help, she does not give me any information regarding the care of any of the plants she brings home, and it's my belief that randomly watering plants (not knowing what she is doing) is likely a bad thing. Hmm. I just repeated everything I said in our fight. She got really mad at me. I hope she still wants to go to the gym tonight. Looking at what I said, I'm pretty sure I could have handled the conversation better.

@HoopsGuy72 what do you mean holding? You’re on a losing streak. Things have come up and and you haven’t let it keep you from your main focus. If I’ve learned anything this year it’s life will always throw us bumps but we can still go over them some slower than others but the drive will always reach us to the same destination over time. You’re going to get to where you want to be even with chocolate covered macadamia nut road bumps and injuries.6

Intro:Let me introduce myself. I struggled with my weight as a teen, topping out at nearly 200. I dropped it after high school and got to a healthy weight. Every major life changed has brought weight back on - having kids, pre-menopause, menopause, family tragedy, post menopause. I've knocked it back down each time, and have been surprised that each time required a different strategy, and resulted in a different type of lifestyle change to maintain. Each time as been much harder and slower. At this point, it's moving off at a snail's pace.
Motivation. I have a hyatial hernia. It does not bother me as long as I keep the weight at 150 or below. Every female on my mother's side has had arthritic knees, and I'm starting to feel twinges. They have also sustained falls and broken bones. My husband had a major health scare a coupe of years ago. The idea of being put out of commission by a preventable injury or illness scares the bejimminies out of me.
Goals. The goals at this stage are to drop weight to a healthy range, realign my eating style to a lifestyle that will keep me healthy into my golden years, and strengthen the muscles that support my knees, ankles, and shoulders, along with my core, to prevent injury.
Dropping weight post menopausal has been so difficult, I need this to be the last time. 10-15 pounds used to be easy to drop, so that was always my warning bell to focus. Not so much now. Looks like a 3-5 pound fluctuation will be it.
A healthy weight for me is 135-140. I've always looked anorexic at 120. We'll see how things are at 135, and go from there.

12/10 …..188.8 ….. Dinner at a friends yesterday. Chicken Alfredo loaded with pasta. I also gave in to the ice cream for dessert. She is FAMOUS for eating bad junk and not understanding why she isn’t losing weight (or why she is gaining). This morning I see things more clearly. The buck stops here. Today will be a good day. Yesterday I walked nearly 9 miles and well over 20,000 steps at the school. I have arranged with the principle to get into the school during the 2 week holiday closing. He will change the computer lock-down on the doors to be open until 2:00 pm daily (except Christmas & New Years Day). Once I’m in, no time limit. That is the good news my fat belly needed! Babysitting DGS #4 today (almost age 3). DGS #2 has to go to the hospital (a bit of a trip from here) for x-ray. He fell in the school yesterday and ankle is swollen (hopefully not broke.) I hope to do some marathon wrapping while babysitting. I hope I can still walk later at the school.

No measureable exercise or activity to report. I am 4.4 lbs down so far from my ending weight last round. I'm not drinking enough water and TMI has been missing for 3 days now, but keeping my diet in check is really helping get this weight back down.

My story: I am a military wife and mother to 6 children, with my youngest being 2.5 year old twins. I have struggled with weight my entire life. I got so close to my ideal weight after my 3rd child and again after my 4th, but I always put on way too much during my pregnancies (binge eater), and I have not been able to get myself together after the twins. I have recently hired a personal trainer and started counting macros to hopefully retain/build muscle while continuing to burn fat. It is hard for me to eat as much as she wants me to eat, because I just can't seem to trust the process...but I am trying. I am going to limit myself to weighing in weekly, because I know how slow this will go. Here for accountability, and hopefully more like-minded friends to check in with. Please add me!!!
Day:
12/09: Stayed under my calorie goal of 1400. Did 15 minutes of full body circuit training, 7 minutes on rower, and
20 minute walk.
12/10: Walked for 45 minutes (about 3 miles), and stayed under my calorie goal.
12/11:15 minute full body circuit training, 10 minutes rower
12/12:Met with trainer for an hour long cardio kickboxing, and strength session. Macros were on target. I've baked dozens of cookies and cupcakes so far this holiday season, and attended a cookie exchange (so my kitchen is filled with goodies). I'm feeling good though, and have been able to keep everything within my plan. I don't feel like weight is falling off quickly, but I do feel stronger and my clothes aren't as tight, so I'm confident things are headed in the right direction.
12/13:Did great with eating goals, but took a day off from working out.
12/14:Weigh in day! Weighed in at 163 this morning! So down about 4lbs from last week! I feel great! It is almost 7pm and I still haven't made it down to my basement to work out, but husband should be home soon and I will make it happen!!

12/09 – 176.4 – Typical Monday morning bounce, but it should be gone in a few days if I stay on track. Rain all day. No walk, so I started cleaning out the pantry – something I should have done months ago – and thinking that my grocery shopping habits are due for an update to match changes in my eating habits and lifestyle.
12/10 – 176.0 – Squeezed in a drizzly 30-min. walk after my morning class before the rain picked up. It felt good to be outdoors! Late dinner, but under my calorie limit. Tonight was my last evening class this semester 😊
12/11 – 175.4 – Snow!
12/12 – 175.6 – Forgot to post yesterday, but it was a pretty good day. The sun came out and melted most of the snow on the boardwalk, so I got a good walk in after my classes. Then went home and made a big pot of soup. Met my calorie and hydration goals, although I had a salty sandwich for lunch. No walk today but met my calorie goal. Need to drink more water.

12/09 60.15kg I have a holiday from work until the 6th Jan and we're heading out of town on the 11th until the 2nd. No gym so I'll be swimming daily and doing what I can at home.
12/10 59.95kg. Had calories left over yesterday and left them as that! Last gym session today then packing up for the trip
12/11 60.05kg. Travel day but I've packed my food. No chance of any exercise just 8 hours in the car.
12/12 60.05kg.went well over calories yesterday but back in charge today. Going to do a home strength training the head to the beach for a long swim
12/13 60.6kg which is no surprise after weds. Going to workout at home and swim today, the beach was lovely yesterday.

12/13 134.4 that holiday dinner was not great. I tried at first. Minimal appetizer. Then they brought a plate of butternut squash ravioli and they were drowned in brown butter sauce. I hate that stuff. It tastes like nothing and makes everything so greasy. So I tried to eat the least greasy ravioli and had two rolls out of irritation. Anyway. Sodium in the rolls. Sodium in the pickled veggies for appetizers. I'm not going to stress about this because it will be fine.
12/14 133.6. see? Fine! I drank a lot of water. Also migraine made it so that I could not eat too much! Friends enjoyed the dinner but I didn't. I didn't want to cancel and have all that food around.

Intro:Let me introduce myself. I struggled with my weight as a teen, topping out at nearly 200. I dropped it after high school and got to a healthy weight. Every major life changed has brought weight back on - having kids, pre-menopause, menopause, family tragedy, post menopause. I've knocked it back down each time, and have been surprised that each time required a different strategy, and resulted in a different type of lifestyle change to maintain. Each time as been much harder and slower. At this point, it's moving off at a snail's pace.
Motivation. I have a hyatial hernia. It does not bother me as long as I keep the weight at 150 or below. Every female on my mother's side has had arthritic knees, and I'm starting to feel twinges. They have also sustained falls and broken bones. My husband had a major health scare a coupe of years ago. The idea of being put out of commission by a preventable injury or illness scares the bejimminies out of me.
Goals. The goals at this stage are to drop weight to a healthy range, realign my eating style to a lifestyle that will keep me healthy into my golden years, and strengthen the muscles that support my knees, ankles, and shoulders, along with my core, to prevent injury.
Dropping weight post menopausal has been so difficult, I need this to be the last time. 10-15 pounds used to be easy to drop, so that was always my warning bell to focus. Not so much now. Looks like a 3-5 pound fluctuation will be it.
A healthy weight for me is 135-140. I've always looked anorexic at 120. We'll see how things are at 135, and go from there.

R98 Challenges: Continue to increase the amount of plant based hydration in my diet. Get back to workout schedule. This is the week of our big monthly briefing at work - try not to let it derail me. Start planning for family Christmas.

I had my dates for this round all hosed up. They're fixed. 😜
Had a spike, but back to Round SW. Should be able to net a loss with some focus.
