She was usually recuperating from a bad night of drinking.

I accidentally fell asleep early, like a 90-yr old dame & now that I'm wide awake around midnight, wondering if I should just give in & have an espresso... might as well if I'm gonna be up all morning.
Guess I'll put on my fancy java duds & fire up the machine...

I GUESS I'll go fold laundry so my husband has a place to sleep during his holiday visit. I ain't givin' up my side of the bed to him AND the cats. That's too much.2

Have a wonderful time with the whole family.
I lived in CO for 2-yrs so am very familiar with Estes. Spent a lot of time in the spring/summer running the steps at Red Rocks.

We drove up to Bear Lake area today but didn't have gear and family probably wouldn't have lasted out there, but the kids got to see the park and got some really great pics. 😁1 -
