01/08 266.8 I’ll admit I let the scale get me a little down this morning. However, as I was putting together the document that I use for this challenge I realized that I’m doing great. I’m only up about a pound and half from my pre break round low. I was certain that my eating habits over the holidays had gained me an honest pound or two, so where I am now makes perfect sense. I’ve only been fully back on track for a week and I don’t know what I expected. Thank you @GrandmaJackie for this challenge it helped me this morning.

01/08 168.7 Starting off this round, same weight as yesterday's round ended, hoping for a loss tomorrow. This round I need to focus on my workouts and as I am so busy, being torn in multiple directions right now, the only real solution seems to be getting up earlier and I don't want to do that! So, that's my main goal this round (in addition to losing weight), figuring out my workout schedule and settling into a routine that works and is sustainable.

Do you take measurements? I’m terrible at that myself but if you are losing FAT and gaining MUSCLE your weight may not change but your body composition will. A pound is a pound but muscle takes up less space! - Jpv, 11/22/19

Last yearMy goal was to get down below 160, to allow me to enjoy the indulgences of holidays and celebrations.I need this more than ever now that I am in maintenance! I might even manage to lose a bit more ever so slowly.
This year, I exceeded that and have been below 150 for most of the last 2 months.
Last year, I put on 10 lbs over the last 2 months of the year.
This year, I have consistently lost weight since the end of July. I have put on about 4lbs over the Christmas break, but am still below my original 2019 goal.
That's a WIN in my book!

REMINDERS One or two thoughts which might give heart to some of you.- Daily weight fluctuations are normal, and can be as much as 2 lbs a day for no apparent reason.
- A general downward trend is what we are looking for.
- Eating out can cause apparent weight gain because of high sodium levels, but usually goes quickly. Drinking extra water helps with this.
- The human body does not react instantly to what we do to it. Sometimes it can take several days to see results.
- Plateaus are a normal part of the process. The body is consolidating and adapting to your new way of eating/exercising.
- The closer you get to your goal weight, the more difficult it becomes to lose weight, as your body becomes more efficient at using what you feed it.
- When you exercise you build muscle, which takes up less space than fat, so use measurements as well as weight to assess your progress.
- Getting/Staying fit and healthy requires a lifestyle change for most people.

1/08: 132.0 - can't complain when it doesn't go up. Weight lifting yesterday and this morning plus 25 minutes treadmill/elliptical. An hour in the gym this morning and my apple watch says I burned 300 calories. Hard to stay under calories when I can eat that back in a nanosecond. But still feeling on top of this for now. Stopped at grocery store and bought lots of veggies for roasted veggies and garbanzo beans tonight. Have a fantastic healthy day, everyone!

01/08- 207.8: Really excited for this round! I thankfully stopped eating crappy and was able to go down almost 3 lbs! May not seem like too much, but in just a couple days that's awesome! Starting to drink more water in place of soda or diet soda, even though I still crave it I'm trying to cut back. I've been wanting to go to the gym, but TOM is making me miserable so might put that off for a couple days. Worried since the flu is going around I'll end up pushing myself and get sick because that's happened before.

Hey everyone! It is good to be back here! Life got crazy over the holidays and I just did not have time to be here regularly. My whole family came for Christmas, with everyone here for 2 weeks, and a few for a bit longer. Everyone even managed to stay healthy and cold/virus free the whole time! I have completed 3 of 4 chemo treatments. All is going well, and bald is super fast in the shower! The symptoms have been annoying and irritating, but not life wrecking by any means. Even the extra doses of steroids have been manageable as long as I take benedryl right when I climb into bed, and the steroids before Christmas helped power me through my massive cookie baking spree! I hope everyone is enjoying the new year, setting goals, and appreciating the distance they've come! Let's do this together!15

69 years old female...5'5" ...I used to be 5'7" but arthritis hit and I lost two inches, so now that two inches is squished around my waist like the billows of a big accordion... ...Oh, well. I'll just keep working on it.
We used to walk 5 miles a day. A pinched nerve and back surgery side-lined me for about a year. Then I had back surgery. Now I'm waiting to get my hip fixed. Hip Doc said surgery in April. Ugh! I can't do any walking or biking...both kill me. I see my personal trainer three times a week. She is taking it very slow and easy with me.

Due to lack of access to my regular scale, my entries will be somewhat of a guess for the first part this round. I will be weighing later in the day and wearing different clothes. I will miss some days too I suppose. It will mess with my averages, but it is what it is. I will just put an asterisk next to the number. Once back in the routine there will be a big correction in 2020. And, I will hit 199 sometime in 2020!

So I am trying to get back on track. I reached my goal weight right before Christmas and then lost it. I am up about 6 pounds from where I want to maintain. So we will see what happens in this round. Have not really given it 100% or participated fully since round 97, yikes! This is my round to get my breakfast and lunches back on track and cut down on my alcohol.
