I'll be 30 in april and I'm trying to start my 30's out healthy. I was super active, playing sports year round growing up and now unfortunately find myself being 5'4" and 205lbs. My highest was 230. I've spent the last few years taking care of my mom through dialysis and a kidney transplant, my divorce and now I'm diagnosed with HBP, psoriatic arthritis, and osteoarthritis in my back. I'm looking for friends who are supportive and active on this app. Let's do this! It's time to take care me ME!!!!

Hi there! Good luck with your journey! Getting started is the hardest, but it also shows you want this! I've started so many times and have made it a day or two, but then fall back into old habits. I've decided it's just time to do this for real! I'm also looking for support and want to help others along the way. Cheers to new beginnings!8

Iām starting out again after years of failing. My body canāt deal with the weight anymore, especially with my job and I donāt want my daughter being made fun of for her mom being fat. I need some friends as well to keep me motivated!3

Hi - Anybody is welcome to send me a friend request. In 2008, I was diagnosed with severe degenerative arthritis. In 2016, I had a knee replacement at the age of 42 (way too early in my opinion). But, MFP has helped me a lot! About 5 years ago, I had phenomenal success using MFP and lost 134 pounds. Over the past few years, I've dealt with some injuries and surgeries and got plain lazy and let some bad eating habits creep back into my daily life. I'm back now to correct those habits and get back to where I was 5 years ago. I'm always looking to add active, supportive friends on MFP.5

Hi guys. I am starting my journey to weight loss. I am morbidly obese also. Though this sounds terrible bad, I am feeling really encouraged at this point. I am new to the online tools, but decided to try it anyway. I also need accountability. I have started and stopped a million times, but feels this time will be different. I need as much support as possible. Let's encourage each other.

, totally new to MFP. Just thought that it will be good to have a partner to share challenges, and maybe to keep a check on me. I'm excited and hopefully will meet someone who requires the same.1

I turned 47 last week and began to seriously think about the impact of the health issues I am facing as a result of being about 100 pounds overweight. Sure, I have lost 23 pounds since July and have started going to the gym on my own. I am giving myself credit for taking those steps. Yet I need to do more and need to get more focused on weight reduction for prevention, and at this point, I believe I will achieve greater success, too, with accountability partners who will motivate without judging. I'm with you - let's do this!1

Thanks everyone for the stories! If anyone else wants to add me, please do! Its helping so much!!0

If any of you would like to try a team approach - it is a great way to get support, keep going even when it isn't going as well as you'd like, and you make some friends who are going to be there every day with you. I have been in one group for quite a while now, and I don't think I'd still be maintaining my weight loss and exercise commitment without it.
Try it for a month - it's a great bunch of people from all walks of life and many parts of the world. Teams are around 25 people, so you get to know everyone. The six teams also have full group challenges if you want to do those. Hopefully you'll want to stick with it for longer once the month is over.
The group is called From Fat2Fit - check out what it's about on the group home page:
