That DOES look fantastic! I was going to have a grilled cheese sandwich for lunch (whole wheat bread and mozzarella cheese!) but I got called in to work
My favorite grilled cheese sandwich is bacon and provolone.
Mmmmm, bacon....
Ohhh that sounds good :O
And would you look at that, I've eaten all my meals for the day except for dinner, and have only reached half of my daily allowance of fat0 -
looks yummy what did you use to toast the bread (butter , margarine other ?)0

Fat is good for you! http://www.webmd.com/food-recipes/features/good-fats-bad-fats
Some types of fat are good for you. The saturated fat found in cheese is not widely accepted as healthy See #2 below in the excerpt from the article you referenced:
3 Easy Ways to Avoid Bad Fats
Here are three simple ways to avoid bad fats, including trans fat:
1. Avoid packaged foods when possible. Instead, choose whole foods, or foods you make at home. For example, you can make your own macaroni and cheese from scratch, or your own flavored rice mixes.
2. Eat lean sources of protein, low-fat dairy foods, whole grains, legumes -- such as garbanzo beans and black beans -- and fruits and vegetables.
3. Use healthy oils such as olive, canola, and sunflower oil, and small amounts of tub margarine for cooking and flavoring foods.

Whatever source this came from is hog wash...............You will never convince me that margarine (plastic) is better than real butter.
Saturated fats are not bad for us at all. The PUFA's (aka corn, canola or vegetable oils) are bad for us and margarine is the absolute worst!!0 -
People! It is a sandwich recipe which someone was kind enough to share- take it or leave it, and maybe everyone who is so against the sandwich needs to eat one, maybe they are hungry and grouchy Personally, I think it looks quite tasty!0

Just to clear the air, I am not against the sandwich. I don't eat much whole fat cheese or bread, but that's just because there are foods I like more that I'd rather spend my calories on, but honestly if someone fixed that sandwich for me I'd eat it and enjoy it. Cheese, bread, what's not to like? I just thought it was funny that someone posted a link to webmd, which recommends low-fat dairy, to support a claim that the sandwich was healthy.0 -

I never though a grilled cheese could cause so much controversy! I should post a recipe for enchiladas, imagine what ridicule that cheesy goodness would receive! LOL I am going to make one of your sandwiches on my cheat day and enjoy it!0 -

Your sandwich came out perfect by the way! Just dark enough the way I like it!0 -

You sure could I only use the spread because it's lower cal, fat, and sodium than our butter, and it keep it from sticking to the pan. Though, if you toast the bread first, then just cook it enough for the cheese to melt, you don't need anything And thank you. I take pride in my grilled cheese, it's one of the things I make that I manage to do perfectly, every time lol0
