missed your chance

The question in its purest form... is the risk worth the reward? In the end it's not the number of shots attempted, the only limit is the shot clock. Shoot away friends.1

I think I usually shoot my shot. My missed opportunities in love were due to already being committed.

I had a chance in college to co-op in my major, but I thought adding an extra year to my school seemed like too much. Now I realize how much it would've helped me in my career path to have had some experience under my belt when I graduated.2

My big regret is that I didn't go back to school early in my life. Back then, though, you could still nail a really good job without a degree. I know, because I have held several. I have been with my organization almost 20 years and have moved up as far as I can go. To go further requires a degree, these days. (Shoot, to come in from the outside, my current position and the one I was hired for, originally both require a degree!) I'm within ten years of retirement, so going back isn't on my list of things to do. I guess that's why it's a regret.4

I feel this is so personal. Maybe move this to a private group. But then again, i find it hard to share so it's probably just me.1

I feel like my whole life has been a missed opportunity. Started from childhood to now into my adult life. I wont share them on a public forum as is too personal but it has molded my life and it makes me wonder often what if....10

I'm highly risk-averse, sometimes to a fault. I can't really think of one watershed missed opportunity but the accumulation of almost always making the conservative choice has probably been to my detriment, depending on point of view.2

It’s really not that different from the what do you regret threads that have been around forever. Of course, participation is voluntary and you should only share what feels comfortable and safe to you. ❤️1 -

wow..this is deep but im enjoying reading the responses
I don't regret anything...sure i've made some less than smart choices but thats life...I feel odd saying that, Like I should regret things more, or hoped they turned out differently..wondered what could have been..//but no
My only regret...when I was younger, I might have been a tad heartless and mean.

Thank you. I do believe you should say what you feel, even if it seems scary. I suppose in the context of this thread he is my one who got away... you ever meet someone who just floors you? But if it was meant to happen it would have done.4 -

Bought a new Apple computer to start a freelance graphic design business in. 1999. If I bought Apple stock instead I’d have 350 grand.2
