How much progress does it look like I've made on my stomach?

Ok I have seen you post 3 or 4 posts where you take an out of focus picture from an odd angle and ask us if you look slim. You therefore look like you need to focus less on looks and more or health. Do your bmi, perhaps measuring as well. But, and I mean this constructive as possible you need to look at getting therapy. What others think of your looks should not matter. What your health is and if you yourself like your appearance are vastly more important. You are a worthy person amd your opinion matters a ton. You need to talk to a therapist about your clear lack of self confidence.13

Groundhog Day was Sunday, not today.24

In the nicest way possible, I urge you to see a therapist as your obsession is not healthy12

Your posts are honestly really sad. Maybe you should step away, and focus on your self esteem.11

Standing still in front of a full length mirror or taken by a friend wearing something skin tight like gym clothes.
I know the photo is a bit grainy, but the clothes are skin tight, and I think it's clear enough to see what my body size is.0 -

Why can't you just take a decent photo like we've asked?5 -
Here's an example of just how misleading photos can be. Same night, same dress, two different angles (and two different parties, but that's beside the point). I look decidedly slimmer in the one on the right because of the angle, my waist looks tiny, my right arm somehow looks super slim. The second one shows closer to the truth, that I was actually borderline overweight.

I considered several flippant remarks; but decided against them because they might be triggering to others or to yourself.
You do realize, I hope, that you are coming across as a little bit off. Not because of how you look but because of how you present your questions.
From the outside I can guarantee you that I would be more concerned about your self perception and anxiety/worry/??? as opposed to any actual physical issues one sees with your body.
I would strongly suggest, since the issues are obviously bothering you and affecting your quality of life, that you ask your primary doctor as to what they think of your body fat distribution and your perception of it, and of the relative impact of all this on your physical and mental health.
Take care of yourself!11 -
I will add this for the chance that these posts are genuine: there is nothing wrong with how you look. As others have mentioned, these weird creepy photo angles make it very hard to get a good view, but there's nothing wrong with how you look in the photos.
Whatever you are trying to get out of these posts, it is not something that we can provide you with. I strongly recommend that you seek help with dealing with the issues that these posts are screaming with.12 -
I will answer. You look slim. Any sort of seated position has the opportunity to squish our midsections a tad, even when we're in great shape.1
-
This is why so many mention positioning, lighting, etc.... It can make all the difference!

The most important thing is, how you feel. Looks have always been in the eye of the beholder. Champion a positive attitude about yourself first and foremost.5

Average. Eat right, pursue fitness, and don't try to be perfect. Even supermodels get photoshopped.6
-
Don't worry. Be happy.1

Why would my post not be genuine? Why would I want to know how thin or not thin another woman looks?2 -

I think people are just wondering why you seem to be dredging up photographs of yourself, taken in random situations and positions that make it hard for anyone to offer genuine opinions.
If you really want answers (and, quite honestly, who cares what a bunch of strangers think, anyway!) then take a current, standard ‘progress’ type photo, standing still and straight, not ‘sucked in’. Or ask your friends and family - they know you best!
Since you resist doing this, it’s not surprising that people’s suspicions are aroused by your motives. 🤷♀️11 -

Boredom, attention, revenge, any number of reasons people troll.
If you are genuine, it's hard to understand why you'd keep posting the same question ignoring the advice given, unless there's underlying issues that you need to deal with.

So, it's not the real you, then? Remind me again what the point of all of this is? I'm confused.9 -
Notice you've also posted this question on other websites and had more or less the same feedback.

Well it is me, I'm just sitting up straight and breathing in, because sometimes sitting down can be an unflattering angle ..

There are photos of me taken in random situations when I was on holiday and at parties. The bicycle photo was a posed photo, I'm sitting up and posing. The party photo (grey dress from other post) is a candid.
I wanted to post clothed photos as I don't feel comfortable posting bikini shots online.1 -

Not one person has said you need to post bikini photos. Fitted exercise gear is fine.5 -

So if you want opinions on your shape, wear tight clothing, go into your bathroom with good lighting, and face the mirror. Take a picture. Then turn to one side, so that your shoulder is facing the mirror, and take another.
If you want fitness feedback, not allegations that you are a troll, do this, because it's kinda the standard for how people show progress on this site. If you want my opinion on how you look in the pictures you've posted, I think you look just fine, but it's weird that we only see a chunk of you, more a critique of the picture than the pictured.4 -
How old is this photo? In the last incarnation of your previous attempts you finally admitted the photo you kept posting and asking about was 18 months old.7
-
I respectfully repeat my previous point. Any validation of idle curiosity has long been accomplished: the pictures are those of a perfectly normal looking human specimen.
The general vibe one gets; however, is that all this is far more than idle curiosity. Verging on being detrimental to one's overall health.
It is time to ask a trusted professional both for a definitive opinion on the overt question and, much more importantly, for help with sorting out the underlying issues that are jumping out of the screen pixels.7 -
How you look - sucked in or puffed out, sitting or standing, slim or fluffy - does not define you and does not define fitness or health.
The comments that question your motivation are from people who are concerned about a part of you that matters - your mental health and wellbeing.
Take the time to work out why you posted and consider that this post was never going to give you the replies you wanted.4 -
Dear Posters,
I have merged in another thread, and wanted to offer a brief explanation for the locking of the combined thread. As Alex said before, if you have concerns about a post or a member, please report your concerns. Don't accuse people of being a troll or making fake posts.
Many of our members want to look better, and want feedback on how they are doing. There's nothing wrong with that. Please remember that there are real people behind the screen, and the words you use matter. :flowerforyou:
