Day/Weight/Comment
01/28 108.2, BF 25.6% Losing weekend bump about as fast as it came on! Discovered website NetNutrition that lists all nutrition info for eateries on campus that lets you build up nutrition info by items for each meal! Good news is that most of my guestimates were within 50 calories of the those on the site. Using Loseit for food diary as MFP kept creating double entries (did not show in phone app) but were imported into Apple Health Kit which made figuring adjusting caloriesand TDEE for this last 5 pounds really hard! I can import all entries from the NetNutrition site with my phone camera quite easily and create my typical meals. Bad news is that my selections for Indian food today at lunch had more sodium than what I typically have in a day (over 2000!). Expect that will have some impact tomorrow… But at least going forward I can preplan lunch before heading out! Exercise good - weights with trainer (sore!) and yoga (am) and plan on cycle after work to help loosen up quads.
01/29 108.6, BF 25.7% pretty good - food retention (got to work on fiber timing/intake so the poop fairy visits before weigh in :-), sodium, and DOMS (BB back squats, BB bench press, cable chops yesterday) but weight within typical daily variation (seriously need to get a foam roller for my office!) Today - cycle class after work followed by kettle bell class from 7-8. Big lunch today (latin bowl) so will be eating a lighter dinner after class as not sure if the format for kettle bells will be circuit or tabata - cannot do a tabata format after eating!!!
01/30 108.0, BF 25.6% Killer cardio yesterday! Did spin class at uni gym, had a protein bar then went to kettle bell class at other gym - only two of us there! Fortunately it was a circuit format, but felt exhausted by the end of it - need to work on situps with the kettle bell and wrist strength on right side so that I can do a clean with a heavier weight for the OH press and not leave bruises on my forearm! Light dinner (ate most calories at lunch), then caught up on email, bath and bed. Too much cardio activity at that hour, however, did not lead to restive sleep (although hope it kept burning fat - lol). Next class is on Monday (tabata) so definitely not doing back to back classes! Except for my bruised arm, feel good today. Last of my workout A for Stage 6 in “Strong” (the 4x4 series), then last B workout on Sunday and will be excited to start Stage 7 next week!
1/31 107.0, BF 25.3% Yeah! Back to weight from last Friday! Moderate evening cycle last night and then refueled on “Caramelized Shallot Pasta” (from recent NYT recipe) and huge green salad. Nice to see a loss after pasta, but calories and exercise were on target! Seafood order for pickup at the Farmer’s Market Saturday is in and have dinners preplanned so as long as I don’t eat lunch out (too much sodium/fat/carbs) and avoid late night snacking on fritos/tortilla chips hope to minimize the weekend bump and stay below 108! (i.e can sometimes do one or the other but not two meals out and LNS). Looking at my typical calorie in/calorie out pattern, I tend to "refeed" on weekends (eat back more exercise calories), which is probably needed, which makes it so more important to look at the longer turn trend.
2/1 109.0, BF 25.8% Kids had BB game last night so did not get home until 8, so later dinner than normal - chicken mushroom stroganoff. did not avoid the LNS with tortilla chips, so may have some water retention. Step aerobics class today so less intense cardio and yoga at home.
2/2 108.8, BF 25.8% Nice to see a drop on the weekend! Overall weight is down 2.8 lb from last Sunday - lots of fluctuations as eating around maintenance calories so good to get use to the range of variability before really going into maintenance. Ate into some of the exercise calories today - went to women’s basketball game and had an impossible burger with fries - ate half of the fries and gave the rest to DH. Dinner was fish tacos at home so overall higher carb day and with eating out for lunch today may see a sodium bump tomorrow.
108.0, BF 25.5% Yeah - back to 108 ! Much better job at “maintaining” over the weekend and keeping weight around 108! Super cycle class this am (was in peak heart rate zone for 46% of the class!). Kettle bell class tonight at 7 - hopefully I will have recovered enough in case the format is a tabata style class!
2/4 107.2, BF 25.3% **One Year Anniversary of this Weight Loss Journey** Hard to believe it has been one year, but made my original goal weight by my birthday in December, had to work on maintaining that, and continue to work on revised goal of 105 (maybe in a month). Rather than weight, my primary goal is reducing body fat (so that may take a year+) via recomp (easing into that and eating at maintenance). I always wondered why people recommended going slower closer to goal (I don;t think it is necessary from a science/weight loss perspective). However it does makes the transition into maintenance a bit easier with the gradual increase in calories and getting use to the variation in weight to expect at maintenance. While I try to keep protein high to support weight training my carb or fat macros are not as consistent day to day, so that and sodium tend to lead to wider fluctuations in water weight day to day. To all out there reading this, keep up the great work and thanks for all of your support along the way!!!
2/5 106.6, BF 25.1% New low (0.2 below previous low) but hoping to hang in the 107’s (avg trend weight is 107.7) over the next week or so. Good exercise day yesterday - yoga, new weight workout with trainer am, then cycle class after work. Skipped protein bar in afternoon as not enough time for it to digest prior to cycle so had a surplus of calories for the day after dinner. Ended up trying the “Seis Leches Cake” from NYT https://cooking.nytimes.com/recipes/1020805-seis-leches-cake that I had made (we were down to 4 peices left so between DH and the twins cleared that out of the frig!) The six milks are evaporated milk, sweetened condensed milk, coconut milk, sweetened condensed coconut milk, dulce de leche, and heavy whipping cream - one slice comes in at 399 calories (less since I made the sponge cake with Swerve sugar substitute but who am I kidding) I started with just a half piece but decided to finish the slice! The coconut and dulce de leche flavors are great (but I might drop the sweetened condensed milk or use unsweetened coconut cream to make it less sweet if I make it again) Really nice to be able to fit in an indulgent dessert now and then at this point! Thanks for all of the MFP-anniversary wishes! This group has really helped with accountability and keeping me on track - it means a lot!

01/27 …..190.0….. ENDING WEIGHT LAST ROUND
01/28 …..189.9 ….. A guesstimate of calories in are about 1800. Calories out 2834. 23,076 total steps & 10.18 Total Miles. 13/13 fitbit step hours. TRAVEL TODAY taking brother for some hospital testing including liver ultrasound.
01/29 …..191.8 ….. I did try to offset by walking 58 minutes at about 3.0 mph in my house last night burning 325 extra calories. Overall fitbit stats: Calories in unsure / Calories Out 2406. 14,315 Total Steps & 6.06 Total Miles. 11/13 fitbit step hours. I slept 4 hours & 27 minutes and am tired and groggy.
01/30 …..191.8 ….. Fitbit stats: Calories In unsure/Calories Out 2409. 14,465 Total Steps & 6.12 miles. 13/13 Fitbit Step Hours. I slept 5 hours & 29 minutes but it was a toss & turn horrible night. Tired today. I walked for 79 minutes with DGS #2 (age 11) at the school while DGS #1 was in tutoring and hopefully getting back on track (ADHD).
01/31 …..191.6 ….. Yesterdays ending stats: 1778 Calories In / 2554 Calories Out. 47 Net Carbs. 17,172 Total Steps & 7.27 Total Miles. 11/13 Fitbit Step Hours. I slept 4 hours & 55 minutes and awoke refreshed. I walked after school in the halls.
02/01 …..191.6 ….. Best calculation: 2102 Calories In / 2566 Calories Out. 107 Net Carbs. 17,562 Total Steps & 7.43 Total Miles. 12/13 Fitbit Step Hours. I slept 6 hours & 6 minutes and woke up tired, needing more. I walked alone at the school in a power walk mentality at about 3.75 mph average for 123 minutes burning 742 extra calories.
02/02 …..192.0 ….. Best correct logging guestimation was 1933 Calories In / 2446 Calories Out. 124 Total Carbs. 10,268 Total Steps & 4.34 Total Miles. 13/13 Fitbit step hours. I slept 6 hours & 12 minutes. That is almost a (good) record for me. I woke up feeling great! My only planned exercise yesterday was a slow 2.5 mph walk at home for 21 minutes that burned 91 calories.
02/03 …..192.6 ….. Real Lasagna with real pasta but no superbowl snacks. All black coffee. Not enough water. Monday. Back to walking at the school today and eating the good foods. 1802 Calories In / 2568 Calories Out. 77 Carbs. 12,188 Total Steps & 5.16 Total Miles. 13/13 Fitbit Step Hours. I slept 4 hours & 54 minutes and woke up incredibly tired but forced to get up. I prepped Superbowl food for 40 minutes burning 122 calories. I did light to moderate cleaning in the tourist cabins for 70 minutes burning 248 calories. Total extra burn 370. Extra sitting yesterday due to game and company. Today I will be moving more.
02/04 …..192.3 ….. Flu (or pancreatitis or gall bladder attack?) hit bad yesterday afternoon. I was sick all night. Stayed in bed and in pain. That explains the drop on the scale. I really should have went to an emergency room but I live so far from one. If that gripping pain happens again, I will go in next time. No movement yesterday, all bed. I’m going to take it easy today too and not push it. I am feeling very hungry right now but afraid to eat. And my back is hurting from lying so long in bed yesterday. I am not used to that. Most nights I don’t even hit 5 hours so laying down that long is painful. I hope the day gets better.
02/05 …..192.6 ….. Up a little from probable water retention. I finally ate a little last night. I kept it very low fat to give my gall bladder and pancreas a rest, but it did have sodium. I am working very hard today (in my jammies) to keep it healthy but light. Thanks to all the well wishers. I love you all! For the past 2 days I have burned about 1900 calories for the day and kept the calories pretty low. No exercise. Today I am going to work on drinking lots of water (a little fearful of ANYTHING heavy in the tummy) and green tea (antioxidant). I hope to be back up and running (walking, actually) tomorrow. I am very sad that this whole round has went bad for one reason or another. I recommit every single day and then look in the mirror and find that I am still only human. I must become a stronger one with more will. After I feel better, I will pick up my bat and start swinging again. My arms may get tired, but I NEVER EVER stop wanting to win the game! Have a great hump day everyone!

Day/Weight/Comment
01/28 73.2kg - no exercise, 16.5hrs hrs fast
My eating window was a bit longer yesterday as dinner took long was quite small and I then had a bunch of snacks, silly me. Today, I stayed home sick, sore throat turned into feeling overall unwell. So hardly any steps and no exercise.
01/29 73.1kg - no exercise, 16hrs
Still off sick. I have to accept that I won't meet my step, running or yoga goals this week. It would be nice if Fitbit had an option to add this and put goals on pause.
01/30 72.8kg - no exercise, 15hrs fast
Back to work for the day as it is my bosses last day. But I'm not 100% well and will stay home again tomorrow.
01/31 72.6kg - no exercise, 17.5hrs fast
Stayed home, sick again feel better. No exercise, just went for a walk which was good. Hopefully I can sneak in a short run on Sunday.
January stats:
- 13 runs, 72km
- 20 days of YWA Home done
- each week I walked+ran more than 50km
- average fasting time: 15.7hrs
02/01 72.4kg - YWA Home Day 21+22, walk, 17hrs fast
Started the day with yoga.
I'm very happy with this loss rate, but fasting is easier when home and sleeping longer. So I need to consider my meeting schedule for my eating schedule. I already know stress eating will be a problem, so will aim to take chopped veg for that. Anyway, it's Saturday, why am I already worrying about work?
02/02 71.8kg - YWA day 23, 16.5hrs fast
Wow that was unexpected. I didn't eat much yesterday, but still. I'm sure this won't last, but a bump down is still nice to see. Having a very emotionally draining weekend, but on the plus side I didn't stress eat.
Average fasting time this week: 16.5, up from last week! Back to work tomorrow, see how this week will go.
Average weight this week: 72.7kg, down 0.6
02/03 71.9kg - YWA day 24, 16hrs fast
I ended up doing a yoga session before bed last night, which was really good. Today, i'm back to work as normal and it may be a long work day, but I ordered lunch so I can have the second half later in the day and won't need dinner when I get home late.
02/04 71.7kg - YWA day 25 (before bed), 13hrs fast
Got home late yesterday, stayed up late, snacked late and had wine. Bad news at work plus difficult situation at home. But the loss is positive. Today wasn't much better, at least I skipped the wine.
02/05 72.4kg - 13.5hrs fast

Starting weight January 2019: 150 lbs
Current weight: 130.0
Original goal weight: 130 lbs (hit this January 11, 2020)
Goal this round: maintain weight (or lose a little), work out 4 times a week, do elbow physical therapy every day, try to play pickleball again... haven't played since January 4th.
I'm trying a new thing - only weighing in once a week or less and focusing instead on staying under my calorie goals, being active and eating enough protein. Will see how this affects my mood and performance.

Day/Weight/Comment:
01/28: Nailed my protein goal yesterday (95 grams), ate below calories and had a short but excellent upper body workout. Another really great workout this morning - a new to me lower strength day that kicked my butt and I had time for 25 minutes of cardio on top of it. Followed with a high protein smoothie, great start to the day and challenge for me.
01/29: Another great protein day (over 100 grams), also ate below calories and added some ab work at the end of the day when I did my elbow p/t. Hard to not get on the scale, waiting for the obsession to ease up a bit. Today is a rest day - which I will spend cleaning the house .
01/30: 95 grams protein yesterday and well under my calorie goal. I was so crazy sore yesterday from both the Monday and tuesday workout but felt great in the gym this morning. Tried a Pickleball game, nope, elbow is not ready. But I’m going to find a poor unsuspecting soul who will do drills with me left handed.
01/31: day 4 of not weighing in, I don’t like it at all. Told myself I’d wait til Monday, really going to try to stick to that. Over 100 grams protein yesterday, under calorie goal, great workout. Great workout this morning followed by hitting the Pickleball against the practice wall with my left hand for a while. Will continue that after workouts for a few days. I’m really sore from this week in the gym, pushed myself a lot. Looking forward to recovering over the weekend.
02/01: busy day, had guests over all day and we grazed in the kitchen the whole time. I tried to make good choices but it was a big change from always being aware of what I'm eating and logging it right away. Back on track tomorrow. Had to add a protein smoothie at the end of the day to get to my protein goal.
02/02: Another rest day for me, my body is happy for it and I'm already looking forward to working out again tomorrow. Grocery shopping/meal planning day. Planning to go for a brisk walk later.
02/03: Really had to finagle at the end of the day to get my protein macro met. It's hard for me to wrap my head around eating more if I have to to get the protein in. If I'm not going to bed hungry, it feels like I'm overeating.
02/04: Weighed in: 128.6 lbs. I have lots of reasons why I decided to step on the scale this morning but the truth is that I was just too curious. Happily surprised with the results. I also moved my body fat testing day to tomorrow because the machine I use (the Inbody230) states that you shouldn't work out for 10-12 hours before using it and tomorrow is my rest day so it works better than doing it Thursday. Great leg workout this morning followed by some pickleball drills and 2 pickleball games, played primarily with my non-dominant hand. It's a work in progress . Feels so very good to be on the courts again!
02/05: Body fat testing day: Weight at the body fat testing place was 128.5 lbs. My body fat percentage went down 2.5% in 4 weeks and my weight went down 5 lbs. According to the test, those 5 pounds were almost completely from fat and I gained about .5 lbs of muscle. So very cool to see that I'm on the right track. Took pictures and measurements this morning to compare to last month and I didn't see much of a difference but I never really do see the changes in the mirror. Will keep on keeping on.

172.6 starting weight for round 103
Day/Weight/Comment
01/28 172.6
This year I saw numbers I never believed I'd see again. I'm back below the obesity mark and intend to stay. Ten years ago I promised myself no birthday or gastric bypass "surgiversary" would find me obese again. I'm revising this to overweight.
Only 28lbs separate overweight and obese and 33lbs a solid normal 24 BMI and obese. Going forward overweight per the charts is no longer acceptable to me.It's not about the charts. I experience changes with even small shifts in body fat.
This round I want to reduce blood pressure and heart rate. I'll only achieve this in the 160's and below. I'll lose as much as I can this round. Low carb, fasting, & fat burning exercise will get me there.
01/29. 173.2.
As much as I hate seeing the scale go up I'm comforted with the knowledge that I weighed in with a belly full. When I weigh at my heaviest time of day I've got a built in psychological cushion.
Yesterday and today where planned totally free days. Yay me, I fasted over 18hrs yesterday and maintained calorie control both days. This fasting/ restricted eating protocol helps me with appetite control. It's a big plus that I've come to enjoy it. No hunger and it just feels right. My appetite returns when it's time to eat usually after 16-18hrs.
01/30. 171.6
I'm praying I'll be in the 160's before my next medical in a couple of weeks. Today's eating has been nutritional crap giving me three days of high sodium, sugar & flour.
The sodium is no issue when balanced with sufficient potassium. I'm all good once I'm eating my greens again. Sugar and flour are my personal kryptonite. It's going to take the weekend for me to get these out of my system.
Fingers crossed, the weekend recovery period will win me a pound or two of water weight loss. I'm back on low carb and watching my water intake.
Getting enough is easy for me. My problem is getting too much then needing diuretics. I've been warned but the sipping habit is hard to break. Beverages are a great substitute when I want to nibble.
No time to read this thread over the last few days but I'll catch up this weekend. Wishing you all well and thanks for all of your much needed support.
01/31. 172.2
I've been mis behaving terribly leaving me feeling bloated and cranky. Once again calories low and macros crap. I really have to haul @$$ to drop the water weight over the weekend. My scrambled brain is overwhelmed making food an afterthought. That keeps the calories down but instead I eat what's easy instead of what's good.
02/01. 170.6
I'm seeing light at the end of this tunnel and I'm sure it's not a vehicle about to mow me down. I'll soon be out of the 170's in spite of myself.
It's very early for me to post my day but time is scarce. I'm declaring that I will stick to my plan today. If I do not it makes me a liar. Of course I am a liar but I reserve my lies for when it really counts. 😜
02/02 170.8
Damn that road to hell paved with good intentions! Perhaps I should start with my personal evils so I'll be lead to my personal good. Once again I went with easy over nutrition.
Won't give up can't give up. Calories & fasting periods are under control and I will beat the carb monster too.
02/03. 170.6
Net carbs were awesome yesterday so my high total carbs may be excused given it is mostly fiber. Protein was way down because my calories were low due to a short eating window and a long fasting period. I'm still carrying water weight but if I can stay off of the flour and sugar I'll finally break through to the 160's.
02/04. 169.0
I'll pat myself on the back for 20 fasting & under 4 fed hours for the day but I'm also scolding myself. This is the longest I've been over my low weight in nearly ten years. I should never have let this annual yo-yo thing begin. Back to basics all day every day will keep me within my optimal weight range. This is my lifetime diet. Still, I'm overjoyed to see the 160's again.
02/05. 169.6
Yesterday I hoped to do a 4 hour restricted eating window with my intermittent fast but I extended it to 6 hours. I got hungry struggling with paperwork that kept me up late. Calories are low & macros look good with fiber making up most of my carbs. Yesterday included a little vodka. Just a bit since I can't hold my booze like I used to. I'm getting accustomed to working my revised plan.

Round103: EW ???.?

Day/Weight/Comment
01/28 – 203.7 (0); Monday info: 1784 steps, 1 of 12, 5hr44m (74): I am NOT going to lie. I took a mental health day from work b/c I just couldn’t face the world. I hate the cold weather. I have been going non-stop for what feels like too long. I didn’t track a single item. I ate like crap. I sat on my butt all day. I had just had enough and needed a break. Bleh! **Okay, now that I’ve gotten that out of my system…back to the grind. All better now. 😊
01/29 – 204.1 (+0.4); Tuesday info; 7035 steps, 8 of 12, 5hr40m (73): Trying to pick myself up off the floor and get 100% back on track has proven difficult (which is normal). I was swamped at work all day which is probably the only reason I managed to get over 7K in steps. I felt like I was running all over the office like a crazed nutjob. I managed to track 2 meals and then faltered at home. (Missed journaling yesterday as well.)
01/30 – 204.9 (+0.8); Wednesday info: 5286 steps, 8 of 12, 5hr18m (71): No provider at work so we had all day in-service with our soon to retire manager and our brand new manager who is taking over 100% on Monday. Lots of tears as our office has been through A LOT with our retiring manager in the last 3+ years. I only managed to track breakfast. Taco bar potluck during the meeting. Skipped the desserts! #win (Just realized that I’m getting close to “shark week” so I’m PMS’ing. NomNomNom StressStressStress)
01/31 – 202.5 (-2.4); Thursday info: 5132 steps, 7 of 12, 6hr5m (78): Pretty standard long day at work. Trying to do Greek yogurt and my protein drink for breakfast instead of buying bagel/cream cheese at the Bistro in my building. The protein drink is 24oz of water and seems to hold me thru to lunch at 1:30pm. I’ve packed my lunch every day (instead of buying at the Bistro). I skipped my office party for retiring manager which meant no eating out! Also, did NOT have any diet pop after work! Trying to get more water in.
02/01 – 201.7 (-0.8); Friday info: 5303 steps, 8 of 12, 5hr12m (71); Friday was an odd day. Partial day of work and then office closed to attend my manager’s big retirement party. I stayed away from the cake and had some healthy finger foods. Friday night is always the night that my Dad’s side of the family gets together for dinner. This time it was Old Bag of Nails. I did the chicken cobb salad with balsamic dressing (usually I’m a blue cheese fan). I had one bottle of Diet Coke (with breakfast at work). Water at dinner and tea at home. Yay! ((My barn friends don’t drink pop so they have been ragging on me A LOT about it lately.))
02/02 – 200.5 (-1.2); Saturday info: 2459 steps, 4 of 12, 8hr52m (84); Saturday I was stuck at home. My trainer cancelled barn day due to questionable weather for those of us who travel. I didn’t really track much after breakfast and wasn’t mindful about house-walking when my Fitbit alerted me to get up and move on the hour. I was either reading or watching movies. This is typical when I am stuck at home and it is cold outside. This is just life.
02/03 – 203.1 (+2.6); Sunday info: 2053 steps, 4 of 12, 6hr27m (82); Sunday was an extremely lazy day. I was up late watching movies (like 2am) and didn’t set an alarm to get up so it was after noon before I came downstairs. I ate whatever and didn’t really walk much. I did attempt to get my 250 steps/hr for my Fitbit a few times before the Super Bowl started. Now this is my typical Sunday. While I don’t count it as a cheat day, it’s more of a day where I don’t feel I have to be 100% accountable if I don’t want to be. Not all Sundays are this bad. I usually pick myself up and get back into my tracking routine on Monday.
02/04 – 201.8 (-1.3); Monday info: 7119 steps, 4 of 12, 5hr52m (76); Monday was a LONG day at work. Must have been at my desk quite a bit. We started a new fitness challenge that is company-wide so I’m attempting to increase my steps and ride the recumbent bike. Back on track with my eating. Logged 100% yesterday. Still not getting to bed when I should. Are we getting ready for Round 104?
02/05 – 201 (-0.8); Tuesday info: 8305 steps, 5 of 12, 5hr34m (73); Tuesday was another long day at work but I stayed strong. My eating was on spot. I did protein shake closer to my ending time and took it with me for my drive home so I didn’t get “HANGRY” and do a drive-by on my way home. #Win (Save $. Eat better.) I managed to get 23 minutes on my recumbent bike while watching my Buckeyes beat TTUN in b-ball. #Win #Win 😊 Worried about some bad weather coming in so I stayed up to watch the news for the weather report. (Should have gone to bed and just caught the morning report.) Ready and excited for Round 104!

Day/Weight/Comment
01/28 79,2 kg ate a lot and was not satisfied probably because of hormones. But I stuck to keto foods, just ate over calories. which was okay, I am still in a deficit over a few days.
01/29 79,2* k 18 hrs, stuck to the routine. Was for a short while hungry after work at a late hour. It's always the same, I have too much adrenaline after work in my body (I guess) which makes me hungry until I am able to relax. Now it's sort of okay with a bit of mindfulness/ meditation.
01/30 79,2* Had two meals - that seems to be a regular when I have a non-fasting day, haha, and hormones are not interfering. All good. A ring now fits on my right hand. Before it didn't fit at all, then only on the left. Non-scale progress.
01/31 79,2*kg Fasting day, went well. was under calories.
02/01 79,2*kg Had a big ribeye steak and about 100% of calories. Unfortunately late at night I ate a snack - pork rinds - which means that my fast for tomorrow should go to 6:30 pm. Now I am feeling too full from this small snack. Stupid hormones, I wish my body would make up its mind beforehand...
02/02 79,1 kg Ah well, it's the time before TOM, that late snack yesterday night, so probably water retention. Good thing is another jeans fits again - haha, with a small muffin top by the stomach. So my body is changing for the better. Just would be nice to see it on the scales too.
02/03 79.1* kg Fasted for 18.5 hrs and was well under calories AND feeling totally full. Fasting got a bit difficult around lunchtime, so I drove to another town and went for a long walk for distraction. That worked well - and I got some slight exercise in even though it was raining. Win-win.
02/04 79.1* kg ate under my cals. stopped eating at 4pm, so tomorrow starts from 12am if I want to. Oh, and I measured myself after one month doing IF/keto and lost quite a lot: 1cm on the arms and quite evenly 3 cm on the whole upper body. I am at least 1 to 2 sizes down:-) Right now it's the days before TOM, so a bit more water but that will pass soon enough.
update a few hours later: Oh my, suddenly the hormones got the better of me, I was suddenly totally tired without any reason and got a total crave for really anything with milk. I never ever have that. It was strange but I tried to give my body what it needed and bought different options and tried to stay keto/ low carb as much as possible. I got keto icecream, mascarpone for keto tiramisu, and some other milk products to have some variety for that special want. I ate some of that variety following what my body wanted, the rest I will freeze. I don't think that craving will stay on for longer. Hormones...so crazy...
And yeah, I am now over calories for today but still under them on average for the last few days. So everything is still okay and I didn't get triggered with sugar, I am even still in the keto range for today. I am totally satisfied now. No craving anymore. It was kind of fascinating to watch myself/ my body during this strange episode. Somehow obviously there was something in milkproducts what my hormones needed. And I am much more awake again. Something got balanced out. Ah well.
02/05 79.1* kg Was well under my calories and stopped eating at 4pm. When I later got offered snacks I chose 3-4 cashews just for being polite. I won't count this as a break of the fast, it's such a small amount, not worth it. Life happens and it might have minimally spiked my insulin for maybe 5 minutes. I can live with that.9 -
I need to get myself back on track properly! I'm tracking my calories and trying to be more active, so I think this is a good start.WEIGHT HISTORY:

Day | Weight | Change | Comment
01/28 | 134.3kg | No change | Didn't eat properly or move a lot over the long weekend, but at least I avoided the booze, for the most part! Plan for this week is in place, now I just need to stick to it.
01/29 | 134.0kg | -0.3kg | Only did a little bit of walking yesterday, but did eat better overall than I have been. Need to do something about my snacking in the evenings - we tend to eat dinner very late (9-10pm) so I do get hungry in the meantime and will eat anything I can find! I will try to bring dinner earlier, though it's unlikely to be earlier than 8:30pm as the baby goes to bed about 8pm usually so that's realistically when we can cook dinner! I do notice my snacking is better on nights where we have leftovers to eat, as we do eat a lot earlier then. Something to work on, anyway!
01/30 | 134.0kg | No change | Very late dinner (11pm!) as my mum and sister were visiting and time just got away from us. Was not a healthy dinner. Drank a few beers. Very late to bed - 12:30am and had to be up for work at 5:30 am. But it was a fun night and we don't get to do it often, though it's a two-coffee kind of day today!
01/31 | 133.3kg | -0.7kg | I’m not sure what the story is with this whoosh but I hope it sticks around!
02/01 | 133.7kg | +0.4kg | Pretty active day, took my little to the pool with a friend & my sister. Did some of a beginner kickboxing video which got my heart rate way up! And did some yoga which felt great on my hip. Then had a few beers with hubby last night so it was a nice, relaxing evening watching some movies.
02/02 | 133.7kg | No change | Relaxed day at home with the family yesterday. Took a much-needed nap!
02/03 | 133.9kg | +0.2kg | Sodium uptick, I think. Did some more of the kickboxing video and some yoga which was also great (tried a few new poses which were quite challenging for me). Have almost got my office cleared out so I can turn it into a home gym! Yay!
02/04 | 133.7kg | -0.2kg | Had a good day yesterday. Took my little one to the pool for a swim to catch up with a friend, and even convinced hubby to come along. DS loved having Daddy there! I was soooo hungry before dinner and stood in the pantry for a good 5 minutes talking myself out of eating everything in sight. Didn't eat anything! Though I did have ice cream after dinner...
02/05 | DNW | Gambled against my alarm this morning, and lost. I should not turn it off, always snooze it! I woke up 45 mins before I had to be at work! So I rushed around and got ready and out the door in 30 mins and made it *just* in time. But it meant I had no time to weigh in or even have a shower this morning...
02/06 | 134.2kg | +0.5kg | Sodium bump! Had a busy but productive day at work, but it meant I didn't get up from my desk much so steps were fairly low. Visited with a friend and her little 2-month old baby, he's so cute and snuggly! While we were there, a huge storm rolled in and it's been raining a lot since then! IT'S RAINING! My parents are farmers nearby, they have 50km (31mi) of gravel road to get home so they stayed at our place last night in case they couldn't get through. Unfortunately I heard from them this morning and they only had 1mm (4/100 of an inch!) of rain. It seems like this big storm was a bit patchy, but I hope that some people who needed rain got it and it's not just in the towns!
So end of round result is a loss of 0.1kg. I was hoping to be in the 133s but with visitors last night we did not have our planned healthy dinner. So this sodium blip will hopefully be gone in a few days and then I'll be on track for the next round! Still, a loss is a loss so I will take it (for now). See you all in Round 104!10 -
Looking forward:
- February: I need to focus on getting back to where I was pre-Christmas
- 2020: Goal is to stabilise weight around 145
- Strengthen strategies to reframe the tendency to use unhealthy snack food as a reward/treat.
- Make sure I have prepared healthy snacks available
- Cut down on eating between meals
Never give up! Never give in!2018:2020
My goal was to get down below 160, to allow me to enjoy the indulgences of holidays and celebrations.
2019
I exceeded that and have been below 150 for most of the last 2 months.
In 2018, I put on 10 lbs over the last 2 months of the year.
In 2019, I consistently lost weight since the end of July. I put on about 4lbs over the Christmas break, but was still below my original 2019 goal.
That's a WIN in my book!
I need this more than ever now that I am in maintenance! I might even manage to lose a bit more ever so slowly.

THERE ARE NO QUICK FIXES OR SHORTCUTS to achieving permanent change.
REMINDERS One or two thoughts which might give heart to some of you.- Daily weight fluctuations are normal, and can be as much as 2 lbs a day for no apparent reason.
- A general downward trend is what we are looking for.
- Eating out can cause apparent weight gain because of high sodium levels, but usually goes quickly. Drinking extra water helps with this.
- The human body does not react instantly to what we do to it. Sometimes it can take several days to see results.
- Plateaus are a normal part of the process. The body is consolidating and adapting to your new way of eating/exercising.
- The closer you get to your goal weight, the more difficult it becomes to lose weight, as your body becomes more efficient at using what you feed it.
- When you exercise you build muscle, which takes up less space than fat, so use measurements as well as weight to assess your progress.
- Getting/Staying fit and healthy requires a lifestyle change for most people.

A bit over my calorie goal again today but I got to the pool in the morning and made some good choices re: food during the day. Chalking it up as a win. Forgot to weigh in before my pre-swim snack in the morning.

I was over on calories every day BUT I hit my first 5 day streak on MFP in over a year and am starting to break some bad habits (automatic snacking, not planning my meals out etc). I didn't really expect to see a drop in my weight the first few days back but I hope this is the beginning of a new trend, and I can finally balance out my new lifestyle/calories!
I hope everyone can take something positive out of this round too! Looking forward to sharing next round with you all14 -

Tracking my next goal: hit 160's again!!
Round 103 Daily Details02/02 - 176.4 I'm back home from the place where diets go to die - the place where I grew up, a small town outside of Atlanta, GA. I didn't cave this time though! Thanks to a solid foundation built through MFP and this group for 30+ days! Even though I did not track my calories or exercise, I ball parked calories and kept them in check, not to lose but to maintain. I was not going to let 5 days derail all my hard work! So thank goodness! I'm back home and ready to start tracking and exercising again. The scale is up 1.4 pounds and I'm happy with that compared to what it could have been. I had lots of salt but compared to other times where I go off the charts with my eating, it just continues to boost my confidence that I can really do it this time! So YAY!!
02/03 - 175.3 Didn't quite get back in the groove of things with exercise, water, etc. yesterday or today, but will tomorrow.

Day/Weight/Comment
01/28 – 173.4 – Met my goals today, but had a high sodium lunch. Scratchy throat - Hope I’m not coming down with another cold.
01/29 – 173.4 – Holding steady. Gorgeous sunny day, so I was hoping to walk at the beach. Lost my voice after teaching back-to-back classes, so I skipped the walk on the windy boardwalk, did a couple of quick errands, and headed home to make a pot of tea and do some grading. Fortunately, I don’t have any classes tomorrow. Well under my calorie limit and drinking lots of extra fluids. Hoping that and an early night help me get back up to speed quickly.
01/30 – 172.6 – Nice to see another drop bringing me back to where I started the last round. Felt great after my gym session this morning. However, my 2-hr training workshop this afternoon required a lot more speaking than I’d anticipated, so my voice is even more strained. I seriously need to rest it tomorrow. Met my calorie, hydration, and exercise goals. If I do a quick load of laundry tonight, it’ll be a clean sweep
01/31 – 172.6 – January was a challenging month, but I’m happy to be ending it at a slightly lower weight than I started. This was my first week of really utilizing the campus gym, and it’s gone well but has eaten up a lot of time. The key will be keeping it up as the semester gets busier. My voice is on the mend, helped by lots of herbal tea and a bit of honey. Skipped the wine tonight and made a simple dinner with berries for dessert, banking some calories for the weekend.
02/01 – 171.6 – Woosh! Nice way to start a new month. Cool and dreary day, but my husband and I walked the marsh trail in the park after lunch. It was great to get out, even though we kept it short because DH isn’t a fan of damp, chilly weather. Made some progress on chores this afternoon and stayed within my calorie limit, even with a post-dinner snack of wine and chocolate.
02/02 – 171.8 – Managed to fit in another short walk at the park before my daughter and her family arrived for lunch. Went about 250 calories over today, but I’d banked plenty this week. The high sodium, however, will probably get me and I’ll likely see a bump up tomorrow. Not too worried though, as I’ve learned to take those fluctuations in stride. Just more reason to get right back on track.
02/03 – 171.8 – Honestly surprised not to be up today, but no complaints! A gorgeous, unseasonably warm day, so I opted for a walk at the beach rather than the gym. Lunch out with my daughter, but I had a lighter dinner and met my calorie goal. Got some laundry done and made a dent in the never-ending grading. Overall, a good day with all goals met.
02/04 – 171.8 – Another unseasonably warm day, like a promise of Spring! Tuesdays are my busiest day, but I made it to the gym between classes and even got to take a short walk outdoors when the sun came out. My NSV was discovering I could grade HW on my phone while keeping up a good pace on the recumbent bike – woo hoo! Only works for simple scoring or marking work complete, but what a timesaver! Met my hydration and calorie goals too 😊
02/05 – 171.2 – Nice! Especially if I can hang onto it for tomorrow. Dressed for the gym this morning but got bogged down with work and had to use this as a rest day instead. I’ll just have to step it up tomorrow. On the up side, I did get quite a lot done, both for my classes and at home. Good hydration, and just a bit (23 cal.) over my calorie limit. One more weigh-in to go.

3.) Go to bed by midnight – 3/8

Day/Weight/Comment
01/28 392.2 (-1.0)
01/29 392.8 (+0.6) – Cheesecake factory splurge, not bad at all. Enjoyed it and back on track. Still drinking a lot of water today. A lot of salt and calories to wash out. I should be in the blue tomorrow.
01/30 392.4 (-0.4)
01/31 393.4 (+1.0) – Had too many nibbles and bites yesterday. Logging it all today but I still may have a gain. I am not sure how my weekend is going to go. Going out tomorrow to a play and dinner out. I am thinking of taking some grilled chicken to super bowl party Sunday so I will have something in case everything is fattening. I am supposed to bring a nice dessert which means fattening. SIGH. But I am good with desserts. It is the other stuff that derails my efforts. But I going to be focused over the weekend! I am going think next decade, next decade, next decade. I want to get into the next decade (389.8) by next Thursday! Have a great weekend Everyone! :flowerforyou: 02/01 393.6 (+0.2)
02/02 394.0 (+0.4)
02/03 393.8 (-0.2) – I had a great weekend. I did not maintain. I went up a little bit (0.4) -- not too bad at all considering. I enjoyed my food. I skipped the cakes at super bowl party. Ate protein, no cheese. No soda. Water only. Had popcorn. If I had skipped big breakfast, I probably would have lost the whole .4 pounds and some. I had sherbet for dessert after dinner Saturday and skipped the fattening dinner dessert. As normal water lower on weekends too. So, I have 3 days to get down to the next decade. No pressure! Lol….. After all that is only 4 pounds. Yikes!! All I can do is try! I must get out of the red first! lol Have a great week Everyone! :flowerforyou:
02/04 393.8 (0.0) – I was under calories. I did have a lot of sodium. It happens. Maybe I gained more than I thought on Sunday. Anyways, we will see tomorrow. I got in my steps yesterday and I did a nice walk too. Going good today also. I am just going to stay the course and it will come off eventually.
02/05 393.6 (-0.2) – I was over my calories. I was way over my goal steps which probably helped me not to have a gain. Well I will be very lucky to get a maintain at this point for this round. I had a very good session with my therapist last night. We talked about the importance of sleep. So, before I see her next week, I am going to be in bed by midnight 3 nights. I was in there last night so 1 down 2 to go! She was pleased with my progress even though I had not lost a lot of weight in 2 weeks.

Total change this round: (+1.4) (SW 392.2 CW 393.6 GW 388)
My journey … "I May Not Be Where I Want To Be, but I’m Not Where I Use To Be!"In 2003 Weighed over 600 lbs.My highest weight was 611 in 2003. Weight in 2004 before weight loss surgery was 580. Lowest weight after surgery was 302 in 2007. "I May Not Be Where I Want To Be, but I’m Not Where I Use To Be!"
In 2005 Weighed under 400 lbs.
In 2007 lowest weight after surgery 302lbs
I joined MFP on March 27, 2010 weighing in at 388 pounds. I was re-gaining weight and stumbled up on it while trying to get back on track. I was determined never to see 400+ on that scale again for me.
I have been morbidly obese all my life. I have a lifetime of mental and physical scars from obesity. In October 2004 I had Gastric Bypass surgery. WLS (Weight Loss Surgery) was the best gift that I could and did give to myself.
Between 2008 and 2010 I gradually gained back 80 of almost 300 pounds lost initially after weight loss surgery. I never reached my goal weight of 200 pounds. I still managed to keep off over 65 percent of the weight I lost which is very good and I am very proud of my accomplishments since 2004. It has literally changed my life for the better on all levels. I am here to lose re-gained weight and to reach my initial goal weight. I am in no hurry. I am taking this one day at a time and I am in it for the long haul.
Surgery did not fix the head. It is a good tool and the best gift I have given to myself, but it was not the easy way out as many people think. Once the honeymoon period is over after the WLS it is up to the patient to keep the weight off.
On August 29, 2011-- I was admitted to Intensive Out Patient Eating Disorder Program to learn how to manage my binge eating disorder effectively. The program is wonderful indeed and will be instrumental in me reaching all of my goals. The focus of this program was how to eat and not diet. Weight loss was not a goal of the program. I actually gained 20 pounds in program. But I had to get thru a lot of stuff and my the time I was released I had stopped gaining. I was discharged from program on December 3, 2011.
My tool is still working for me today. My head is still the issue. SO the struggle continues. I will never beat myself up again. I fight the fine fight faithfully and positively everyday. Because that is what will get me to my goals one day. Even though it may not show up on the scale every day -- Everyday I make progress one way or another just by showing up, waking up and trying.
Giving up is not an option for me. Perseverance, Patience, & Positive thinking will help me reach my goals…… and the same is true for you too!! We have the power within us.

This round goal to just lose - aim to stick with good habits: be mindful of what I eat & drink, keep walking & refrain from attacking the cookie jar and left over Christmas chocolates – plan is to put them in DH lunch box each day 'til they're gone!! - there are still residual bits hanging around hubby will have finished them by end of this week!End of round 69 134.2 lbs

Day/Weight/Comment
01/28 79.2 kg ate a lot and was not satisfied probably because of hormones.
01/31 79.2*kg Fasting day, went well. was under calories.
02/01 79.2*kg Had a big ribeye steak and about 100% of calories. Unfortunately late at night I ate a snack - pork rinds - which means that my fast for tomorrow should go to 6:30 pm. Now I am feeling too full from this small snack. Stupid hormones, I wish my body would make up its mind beforehand...
02/02 79.1 kg Ah well, it's the time before TOM, that late snack yesterday night, so probably water retention.
I can live with that.
02/06 77.8 kg Yes!! Fasted for 20 hrs. was under calories and got a good night's sleep. total loss this round of 1.6 kg11 -

At the moment I'm working on having a calorie deficit diet and portion control. Hope to incorporate more exercise.
01/28 - 169.2
01/29 - 168.5 - ~1400cals and hardly any snacking. Will try to work on moving more.
01/30- 168.4 ~1400 again and no exercise but my smartwatch should be arriving soon and will hopefully motivate me. With little ones it just gets so busy or am I just making excuses.
01/31 - 168.2 ~1600cals. Ended up having chicken pie for dinner as hadn't prepped anything Sleep: 6hr32mins. Steps: 5000
02/01 - 168.2 I do think my scales are playing up though I got a few different weights this morning. 168.0-168.4. Started the treadmill even though it was for a measly 15 minutes but still a start. Ate around ~1700cals so need to rein that in if I want to see significant losses.
Sleep:8hrs steps: 7000
02/02 168.2. Again. pretty much on track with food and went for a walk that I felt so much better for so quite disappointed with the non moving scales. Sundays are always at my familys for dinner so preparing for a gain. sleep: 7.5 hours steps: 8000

Goals
1 - Track my calories daily
2 - 10.000 steps
3 - Water 1.5l
My main goal this round is to get my daily steps in, also we've started using the stairs at the office (we're on the 6th floor of a shared office building), it's turning into a bit of a challenge between us I've started doing it at home as well as we live on the 4th floor, but we can't always do that as we often have shopping to bring up.
Date – Weight in of the morning– Summary of the previous day:
01/28 - 151.6 (+0.6) 1225 cal, 11.257 steps, no idea where that gain came from, maybe TOM? I woke up feeling bloated. Anyway I'll just keep on doing my thing I'm not having much time to do anything but run around getting stuff done. Tonight we're visiting 2 high schools for my daughter as we have to decide for enrollment next week, I think I'll just grab an energy bar somewhere so I don't end up starving and eating the wrong thing at one of the open days treats
01/29 - 150.2 (-1.4) 1174 cal, 8192 steps, that's a bit of a whoosh and a new low although I have no idea why though! Yesterday I hit my calorie goal around 4 pm as I didn't want to eat junk food while running around in the evening, so I'm guessing it's the longer "fast" period that I'm used to (I normally don't eat between 6.30 pm and 9.30 am). Maybe just skipping dinner works for me but I like having my dinner with my daughter in the evening, I'll have to see. Today nothing special planned except that there's more running around tonight so I might skip dinner again.
01/30 - 150.2 (0.0) 1378 cal, 5351 steps, I'm quite surprised that it's the same number as I was over calorie yesterday and not hardly enough steps were done! I'll have to make sure I'm careful today so that it doesn't creep back up on me tomorrow as I've noticed that sometimes it takes 48hrs to show the gains from excess. Today is going to be quiet, I've had a splitting headache since Tuesday which is slowing evolving into a migraine, so I'm going to concentrate on making it through the day till I can get home and crash...
01/31 - 150.2 (0.0) 1181 cal, 8065 steps. Status quo, which is good. I've got a busy social weekend so I expect a gain over the next few days... luckily the round doesn't finish on Monday
02/01 - DNW
02/02 - DNW
02/03 - 152.2 (+2.0) I knew this was going to happen, the weekend was very busy, I didn't log all my food and didn't get to weigh-in, I'll be spending the next few days trying to get down to a more reasonable number before the end of the round.
02/04 - 153.2 (+1.0) 1097 cal, 10016 steps Ok really disappointed here, I even stepped several times on that scale to make sure I was reading correctly I suppose it's still a backlash from the weekend but as I was under calorie, ate healthy and got my steps in so I thought I'd see a little drop instead of another gain. It certainly didn't put me in a good mood but I suppose I'll just have to get over it and get on with it
02/05 - 150.8 1002 cal, 7188 steps, it was a relief to see the number drop this morning. Yesterday, I made sure I was under calories, ate healthy and drank lots of water. I'm hoping another day like that will get me down to my desired weight goal for this round then back up to 1200 cal as I think under that number is not so good in the long term for me.
02/06 -149.2, (-1.6) 1167 cal, 8832 steps, gym workout 1h. First time seeing under 150! So I'll just leave that here and continue doing my happy dance

Started a very low calorie diet on Jan 17. I have ended each of the last 5 years heavier than I have ever been before. Have a very complicated, very unhappy relationship with food. Am hoping taking the thinking and choice out of it - by focusing on low-calorie ready meals - can help me get where I am trying to go.

02/06 - DNW. Wowzers! I wish I knew how to put a 'spectacular implosion' emoji here. I ate probably about a billion calories yesterday. Give or take. Carb cravings were off the chart. Could be the build up to TOTM. Or that self-sabotage is just my thing. Anyway, new day, new round. Looking to be consistent for the whole of Round 103.

@NdinonziIris - just a thought - you're on a very low calorie diet and using low calorie ready meals - how much sodium is in those? Is it possible that is causing you not to lose weight? Are they counter productive?
Hi @musicsax, hopefully this is the right way to reply to messages on here...I am not tracking sodium. The only thing I am really tracking is carbs, i.e. making sure that the combination of meals I opt for does not get me out of ketosis. I am putting the stagnation of my weight loss down to water retention (am about 1 week away from TOTM) and the fact that I dropped a lot of weight in the first two weeks. Will see what happens in the next round.6 -
quiltingjaine wrote: »@NdinonziIris What exactly are “ready meals” and how low are your calories?
Hi @quiltingjaine , I guess the definition of ready meals varies, according to which protocol one follows. In my case, it's either shakes, bars, or just-add-water types of meals.

01/28 - 145.5 - I'm a little surprised I'm still up a half pound from last week, but maybe it's from starting the planking. I can definitely feel the muscles burning even though I'm only holding for 20 seconds.
01/29 - 145 - OK, back to last week's weight.
01/30 - 145.5 - I will continue to weigh and log my food daily as I have done most of this month and believe that I will eventually get back below 145. Someday...sigh.
01/31 - 145.5 - Someday...
02/01 - 145.5 - I ended up having an extra carby, sodium filled supper last night, so I'm just glad that didn't hit me this morning. In the meantime, while I wait for my body to catch up with my diet, I'm going to join a challenge for planking. At least that way if the scale isn't moving, I'll feel like I'm accomplishing something.
02/02 - 144.5 - It's been a while since I've seen this number. Super Bowl party tonight, so I don't think I'll see it tomorrow but at least it's a downward trend.
02/03 - 144 - I ate a little bit of everything at the party last night but didn't go overboard. The carbs may hit tomorrow, but this unexpected drop reminds me that I have to work through those plateaus and not get discouraged.
02/04 - 144.5 - I am fine with this little bump from the weekend. Now if I can stay below 145 the rest of the round, I'll be thrilled.
02/05 - 143.5 - Woohoo, I haven't seen this number since before Thanksgiving!
02/06 - 144 - I'm very happy to end the round at this weight! On to the next.

02/06 - 149.0 - I'm very okay with this -- started where I ended and maintained despite the Superbowl and traveling. I'm just happy to stay under 150 for an entire round! Next round I'm hoping for some loss to give more buffer between me and 150 but I have 10 days with (so far) no traveling or anything that could stall weight loss planned.
Previous Day's Comments01/28 - Holding steady. TOM finally arrived and so this uptick from my low last round must have a little influence from that. Traveling for work today so a 2 hour commute each way ): At least I get paid mileage reimbursement at a good rate for it. Get to talk to my boss today for a question he had about my pay 2 weeks ago. He didn't approve my pay and the pay window closed yesterday so we get the payout Friday. If I don't get paid Friday, I'm in a very very very bad situation. I'm a little peeved at my boss that I even need to be worried about getting paid Friday. This happened 2 weeks ago today! Why are you bringing it up so late and risking my pay?! Please help me not stress eat... I've been tossing and turning all night, barely got restful sleep. And during those times I tossed and turned, I was absolutely freezing, despite usually being too hot under all those layers.
01/29 - Found my TOM bloat plus some. At a work conference and food is provided. I started getting dizzy and lightheaded so I went to get some food and the only thing available was a donut so I ate that. Then catered Chick-Fil-A (delicious, but not exactly nutritious). Not sure what today's catered lunch will be. Hopefully they have a fruit tray for breakfast again (the fruit was gone by the time I got dizzy) and I'm going to get some early so I can snack once I break my fast (lunch is an hour later than I normally eat it and I break my fast between 1030-11, 11 being the plant's normal lunch break). At least fruit will hold me over an hour. Just have 2 yoga (YWA HOME) practices to do today and I'm all caught up! I really do love it. Calendar should be out today for February. Pretty excited!
01/30 - Back on the downward trend. Got my logistics (flights, hotel, etc) coordinated yesterday for my interview Monday. Apparently the hiring manager is excited about this which makes me nervous and excited (more so than I already was). Lunch ready for today and tomorrow. Have a steak for dinner and a Fire Brigade dinner/awards tomorrow to get me through to Saturday food-wise. Pushing water. I tried to yesterday but it was rough trying to drive home with a full bladder every 2-3 seconds it felt like! Today I'm at my home office so it'll be easier (: Caught up with HOME yoga, today is the last day, tomorrow is close-out. I already have February's calendar printed and I'm going to try to stick with that (pending any life updates). Now time to read and get caught up on everybody over the last 2 days! I was able to post but not read
01/31 - Aaaaand back down. Now lets maintain this for the weekend at the very least. I'd like a drop, but with the travel Sunday and Monday, maintaining would be best for me that way I know I'm doing something right. Maybe I'm odd but I hate using the bathroom on planes so I typically don't hydrate enough when I'm flying (though I always have a water bottle with me to sip on, I know its not enough). Today is a good day. I scheduled payments to pay off one credit card (a whole $25), paid a little more than minimum on the the other credit card (I had paid off with consolidation but car maintenance got me), and made my first payment on my new loan (the consolidation loan. Has no early payoff penalty, lower interest rate, and I don't have to calculate how much I can pay each card each month. Maybe not the best route, but I froze all my credit cards so I can't increase those anymore and I can't increase my loan so it definitely helps me mentally tackle things). I'm feeling extremely positive and today's weigh in just made me feel that much better.
02/01 - Had Fire Brigade Appreciation dinner last night and they catered in fajitas so I'm sure this is a sodium and slightly later than normal dinner time bump. Not at all worried about it. We catered for 20 and there were six of us so we each got to take home some food which I'm about to dig into as I'm well past my fasting time (I got busy/distracted and I'm just now starting to feel a bit hungry). Going to try to weigh in tomorrow morning (will be an early morning, I have to leave my house before the time I normally wake up for work!) but I'll have to remember my weight so I can post once I'm at the airport. I'm so excited to see my BF and the crew, even if only for a few hours, and nervous for this interview all at the same time. Its an odd combination of emotions. Purged a lot of the donation stuff from my house. Only 2 more bags I need to drop off that I didn't have room to take in my car today. Otherwise, its organizing and packing more of the non-essentials just in case Monday goes better than I expect (municipal company so it usually takes a bit longer to go through the hiring process -- don't expect to hear yes or no on the job right away but I'm going to be prepared in case).
02/02 - This is likely a combination of a super late dinner and an early weigh in. If I can stay under 150 during this trip, I'll be content. Have a 3 hour layover in Dallas right now but tomorrow I'll have an hour layover haha it's going to be fun. If the company hadn't booked me in basic economy I could go on standby for an earlier flight but I cannot ): it'd give me way more time to spend with the BF if I could've done that. Oh well, wasn't meant to be I guess.
02/03 - Out of Town
02/04 - Definitely expected to be up, especially after the Superbowl. I was able to hang out with BF and the crew -- had AMAZING food, but made sure small quantities. I also treated myself to Whataburger in the airport during my layover (can't get it up here, only had it twice before in my life) but it was early enough it didn't seem to stay heavy on me. Ate out after my interview at this pizzeria in San Antonio since I had no other food option but to eat out. It was worth it!. I may have some water retention but it seems it wasn't enough to push me over. Travel goal to stay under 150: accomplished! Came back to Kansas and a winter weather advisory. I swear this state hates me lol All bundled up and sleepy-tired today. Have fire brigade training. Hopefully its indoors!
02/05 - Bounced around between 149.2 and 148.8, settling on the latter. Stepped on a second time, hovered at 149.0 but settled on 148.8. A third time also settled on 148.8. Apparently my scale did not want to wake up this morning either. Snowing when I drove in, but the winter weather advisory was cancelled last night and only supposed to lightly snow for a couple hours this morning. Hopefully it warms up and the drive home doesn't get icy. Didn't have lunch so I brought some of the homemade frozen burritos I bough from a coworker for a fundraiser his kid was having. Better than spending money and eating vending machine food like I did yesterday. Pulled some stuff from the freezer to make chili tonight which should last me the rest of the week at the very least. Did some yoga last night. Finished YWA HOME last night (just had one more to do I kept procrastinating last week). Realized February's calendar isn't really a journey like January so I'm just going to try a video of hers that suits my needs that day and do that instead. Hopefully I can still stay on track doing yoga daily without having a calendar to follow.

R103
Goal for this round is to continue to work on my eating habits, and be mindful of everything that goes into my mouth.
I've been on this journey a very long time and have lost a lot of weight, and I've kept the majority of it off without gaining it back. I'm looking forward to the day when I finally reach One-derland and I'm no longer obese/overweight,

Day/Weight/Comment:
1/28: 275.6 (-2.6 lbs) for a little while I'm limited what I can do physically. As soon as I'm able I'll get back to my workout routine. This is do to health reasons. I'm happy to still be losing.
1/29: NW: left home very early, and just now got back a few minutes.
1/30: 275.2 (-4 oz) Only 4 oz loss. Still a lose is better than gain. Tomorrow is errand and grocery shopping day, and I'm usually gone most of the day. Which means I eat away from home. Here's hoping I make the right decisions, and not be tempted to overdo it.

Current weight: 199
Goal weight: 140
January goal: 198
February goal: 189
10 day goal: Lose 2-3 lbs and keep sodium and sugar intake under control
I am so ready to go again! I see my doctor on Tuesday to discuss my weight loss, so I will be able to check how accurate my scale has been and find out if I have been approaching my macros the right way. Looking forward to reading about everyone else’s weight loss/management experience, too!
Day/Weight/Comment
01/28: 198.6 Kept under sugar and sodium intake yesterday. I am eager to see what my doctor says today about my efforts!
01/29: 202.0 Sadly it turns out my scale was off by 4 lbs. Still have more work to do! On the bright side, my doctor was thrilled by the STILL SIGNIFICANT weight loss and the changes in my diet, so she was very encouraging about continuing my efforts. I have a new scale now to mark my progress!
01/30: 201.5 See? No worries! I ate well yesterday, I know now that I am losing weight consistently.
01/31: 201.4 I was hoping for a bigger drop, considering how well I kept under my sugar, sodium, and carbs, but at least I have a scale that is consistent now. I stepped on it twice and it showed me the same number.
02/01: 200.4 Yay! I will see the 190s again soon!!
02/02: 200.7 I went over on carbs again. Blame PMS and stress making the cravings unsatisfiable. I’m actually surprised the gain wasn’t more.
02/03: 201.5 Had a good lunch with a friend yesterday, but overdid it in terms of sodium intake. I’m forgiving myself and moving on!
02/04: 200.6 Getting there, getting there...
02/05: 199.6 YES!!!!
02/06: 200.4 We had a snow day at last here, so I overindulged on comfort foods. No matter! The next ten day challenge will see me staying firmly staying under the 200s. Thanks for this round!9
