Go to the grocery store and pick up a bag of something as close to 38 lbs as you can. Maybe a big bag of dog food or potatoes. That is a lot of weight. You are a winner Vampire Queen! I hope you will continue to be motivated by your success so far.

That is no small achievement, think about that, 38 lbs is a medium sized child. Just think how much better your knees and back feel without carrying that around. With that much weight loss, its showing, its probably more that just people are hesitant to say something now a days because of need to be politically correct all the time, they wouldn't want to offend if you hadn't lost weight. Happened to me just this weekend, I'm down 28 lbs and a lady we knew noticed but wouldn't say anything to me, instead she texted my wife after the meet up and asked if I had lost weight. Said she didn't want to be rude if I hadn't which is funny we've turned this to being afraid to offend someone because honestly even if you hadn't lost weight, wouldn't it be nice to hear someone thinks you are and doing good? Any ways, as you said, celebrate the victory and keep on going because being healthy just feels so much better!6

38 lbs down is AMAZING!! You should be really proud of yourself! That is heartbreaking that someone said that to you, I am sorry you had to experience that. I had an unsupportive roommate while I was counting calories and I felt like she was trying to derail me with baking a lot of sweets. It was hard, but I got through it! You got this!3

That person was probably jealous. Nice work on 38lbs. That is amazing progress!3

Thanks everyone. I compared photos from last year and today. I can see that I've lost weight and it feels brilliant.16

Celebrate every single win no matter how big or small! Those who don't celebrate or care have more underlining issues that are not your problem. You got this! Super proud of you! I was stuck at 295 for over 6 weeks. I kept at it and broke the plateau. The old me would have given up. What would the new you say to the old you in this situation?4

I told someone that I'd lost 38lbs only to be told, 'Well you have a long way to go.' Yes I know I have a long way to go but I need to celebrate 38lbs. So I'm asking you to celebrate with me because you all know how much effort I've had to put in to lose that amount.
38 pounds is a remarkable achievement no matter how much you want to lose overall. Yay, 38 pounds! 🎉🎉🎉
Don't let that person get to you. Hugs...

Keep it up! I've lost a 56 pounds so far, and have another 110 to go. I just haven't told anyone about it so they can make whatever conclusions they want.11

Tie a 38 lb sack on that idiot's back so they can appreciate what you've done.
Keep it up. You will get there. You are off to an awesome start. WELL DONE.8 -
38 pounds is a GREAT achievement!! Be proud of your accomplishment! Your health has dramatically improved from this and you can feel it!!
Also, please remember that that included starting- always the hardest part of any journey!!3 -
That is an incredible achievement! Sounds to me like those negative people are projecting their own failures on you! You are winning! Cut those toxic people out of your life and keep on keeping on!!!3

38 lbs is amazing!!!! I've lost 33.2 as of this morning & nobody has noticed yet, I'm afraid if I say something that I too will get a negative comment. I have a LONG way to go also so those I'm around every day don't notice yet. BUT I do and I know YOU do also, little things like walking & climbing stairs are getting easier. The other day I picked up a 25lb sack of potatoes in the grocery store & just carried it around, it was HARD, imagine that I was doing that every day & more. CELEBRATE YOU & YOUR SUCCESS, DON'T EVER LET ANYONE ELSE GET YOU DOWN ♥5

You're doing so well!
Congratulations on your success.
Try and filter out the negative (it's a reflection on them and not you) and just keep on keepin on.4 -

OH, my goodness......nice rain on your parade. Congratulations on all those times that you made better choices for your health, and they added up!!! I believe you have done the hardest part, you started, kept at it, formed new habits that will carry you to goal. Take the BEST care of your mind, body and spirit!! You are worth it!4

Brilliant. Keep at it. I get those sort of comments sometimes. I just think they have no friends. That always makes me feel better 😀😀3

38 pounds is amazing! I, and everyone commenting above is incredibly proud of you! Some people are just mean spirited; attacking others makes them feel better about their own troubles. They are probably projecting disappointment they have in their lives on you. I recommend either cutting out the toxic person, or perhaps lend a helping hand and offer to bring them along with you in your weight loss journey. Either way, stay committed to your goals. Best of luck!3

38 lbs is crazy good! And compare it to 38 1 lb bags of sugar that is a lot man. Haha is stack um up in the grocery store and take a picture and put them back a visual reminder of what you lost2

Well done! Do you measure and take photos? This would help to remind you of how much great progress you are making. Don’t let others sabotage your success.2
