I am in. I'm mostly going to work on reduction at first, although I'm in a challenge this week to avoid wine. My goal this week is 7 days AF.

Count me in! Been lurking for a few weeks now, finally taking the plunge. Although I have drastically reduced my ETOH intake since the end of 2019.
Goal: 50% AF days in no particular sequence.
Thanks to MissMay for herding all us cats and keeping everyone on track.9 -
I’m liking this count me in something I’ve been wanting to do and supports helps. Won’t buy any extra I do have 3 beers in the fridge and will only have those.7

As usual, I am going to try for 16-20 AF days for the month.
I had 18AF days for January
I had a surprising (and record setting for me) 21AF days for the short month of February!
Sunday March 01 - AF - The month kind of came in like a lamb.
Running tally: 1AF day out of 1 day so far.

I also am at 1AF day out of 1 so far.... Sundays are often a toss up for me as to whether I will drink or not. It’s a school/work night but it’s also a day when I try to get extra exercise, may have extra cals from the week to use up, and try to make a nice dinner so I often want a nice glass of wine to go along.
Today was no different but I decided to skip the wine and save a couple hundred extra calories in addition...7 -
Day 1 AF day done!4

I’m in! Feb I saw 21/29 AF days. My goal this month is 25/31 AF days. During Feb I lost 3.5kg, my skins clearer and I’m falling asleep a lot quicker! Days 1 & 2 both AF.5

Welcome to the "less alcohol" thread @docmum and @brwnidgirl286. We offer lots of support and interesting posts as well.
@anglilacs and @dawnbgethealthy always a bonus to have your faces back in for another month. YAY on the 21 AF days!!
So in February my tablet died and would not come on. I tried to access this community via my desktop, but that was not working out either. So that left me to travel to our library every now and then to get on one of thier computers to get in here and see what was going on.
Needles to say, with all my posts the past 6 days I have my tablet back (WOO HOO) Which means I can keep up again.
Let the MINDNESS begin.
Day one done

I’m in too! Trying to be more intentional with everything I’m taking into my body. My goal is 15-18 days AF.

Good morning everyone!!! Happy Monday to you! Today, I'm officially checking in. I actually got started a little early on my journey. February 24, 2020 to be exact. Today marks exactly 1 week without any alcohol. It's actually pretty shocking given that I'd been drinking champagne and a shot of Captain Morgan everyday for who knows how long. Like every single day. A whole bottle and sometimes 2 plus a shot. It's weird because I thought that I would have trouble stopping. I haven't really desired to drink. Haven't been tempted to go to the store like I routinely do to buy anything to drink. I can report however, that my sweet tooth has kicked in. Perhaps that's the tradeoff. I'm happy to be joining in. Have a great day everyone!12

Kicking the month off on the right foot!6 -
Hey everyone and happy March! I'm so happy to be here again. I was nearly a daily drinker these last few years but decided to change that in 2020.
So far, in January I had 23 AF days and February I had 16 AF days- bringing my total to 39 AF days of 60 so far this year!
My March goals are just to have more AF days than days where I drink. It's complicated because we are going on vacation for spring break, to a tropical climate, where I hopefully will be living a life of leisure. We are also going with other family members who drink daily, especially when on vacation. My goal for the trip is to not overdo it and have some AF days during the trip- although I don't know what that looks like yet. I figure trying for overall more AF than not days will be a good compromise for the month.
So here I go, off to a good start this month. @WinoGelato I'm the same as you with Sundays, I had extra calories from lots of weekend activity and I was making a good dinner and a glass of wine would have been nice. We also had another family over for dinner and the adults were having beers. But, I just didn't go for it. I ended up having a minor chocolate binge later in the evening when they had gone home. That happens to me sometimes, too @alrightmsjenkins I see you are having the similar thing go on. Sometimes I wonder if it would have been healthier just to have the wine! Oh well.
March 1: AF
So far in March- 1/1 AF days

In keeping with a mindfulness theme I'm not going to set a target as such, and just go with ensuring that whenever I drink I do so mindfully rather than out of habit or boredom.
1 - AF
2 - AF8 -
More cats to herd, @MissMay. We're in for March. One for abstinence and one for moderation. 2 days AF. Counted my calories and nutrients on MFP and have room for 2 Coors Edge today. Maybe I will, and maybe I won't ...5
