Hi everyone!
Sorry I've kept everyone in the dark about the follow-up. Matt's been off the last two days and I've wanted to spend time with him. I haven't spent much time online at all.
The follow up went well. The cyst was benign! The doctor removed the mesh that covered the wound which hurt like a *kitten*. She was amazed at how well the wound is healing and at the range of motion I have. Have you ever worn a hair tie on your wrist that was a little too tight and it left the indent? That's what the wound looks like. Lol. My next appt is on March 31st and that should be the one that clears me to go back to work! I can't wait! Another 3 weeks of sitting at home are going to drive me crazy. Lol. I overdid it a bit yesterday though. Matt and I went food shopping which was fine but when it came time to load the groceries onto the belt I twisted too much. I'm definitely tender and a bit sore. That was definitely a lesson for me. The next few days I am definitely going to take it slow.
Dad is taking us out for dinner tonight. I can't wait! I love spending time with him. Before I met Matt he was my favorite person in the whole world. He and Matt are very similar. When I was growing up I always said that I wanted to marry someone like my Daddy. And I did just that. Lol. So tonight should be fun.
Okay. I think that's it for today. I'm only going to add two or three goals today because I need to take it easy for right now.

Successful end to the week yesterday. Today I feel very wobbly. Have lots to do this weekend and quite anxious about various things rumbling away. A run would probably help but I need a rest day as have done 5 runs ina row now. Maybe stretch for a long run tomorrow and today burn some calories cleaning!

03 Jan: This is going to be way harder than I thought. Need to work out strategies and guidelines for what I can and cannot purchase.- I have a stack of books which I haven't read. I will read one of those book a month, and not buy any more books this year. I will source any other books I want to read at the library.

Dinner last night was a bit of a bust. I got an 8oz prime rib which was absolutely fabu! But I ate about 6oz of it instead of the 4oz I was planning on. I did bring that and half of my garlic mashed potatoes home. I got the salad bar and didn't get an app though. The worst part was that I got a dessert. I just can't pass up a chocolate molten lava cake! I think they are my absolute favorite dessert!
But today is a new day!
My to-do list is going to be a bit longer than usual today because I have a few things that I need to get done. I'm going to be careful about it and take it slow so that I don't hurt myself but they still need to get done. Lol.

Good morning all! After what sounded like a busy and tiring week for so many, I hope each one of you has a chance to relax and refresh this weekend
Yesterday was a pretty good day, although chores got derailed when I volunteered to watch my grandsons after school so my daughter could attend an event marking the 100th anniversary of women's suffrage in the U.S.
After another good night's sleep, I'm feeling energized on this sunny Saturday. The scilla and mini irises are blooming and daffodils are pushing up all over the yard. One week until Spring Break! I'll be heading down to visit my son in NC at the end of the week, so I have lots to do.

I am so so far behind with reading posts, responding, etc. I did take a break from getting on here ... just had a lot going on, and I think I needed a little break. We've had a lot to digest ... like being hit in the gut. But now, we've accepted this cancer thing, and hoping for the best possible outcome.
My husband started hormone therapy a week ago. So far, it is all going OK. We met with the oncologist , and with the aggressive kind of cancer he has, there is a 75% chance that the cancer will return if they only do radiation, especially since surgery is not a option. But .. the good news is that with the radiation + hormone therapy, that percentage goes down to 33% chance of it returning.
So he takes the hormones for 8 weeks before starting radiation. We are not sure what the side effects will be ... but supposedly he will have menopause-like symptoms! YIKES!! I guess it is payback for me LOL!! I just hope he does not have the depression, crying spells, but at least the first week, all is good.
Next week he is getting more test done, and a colonoscopy before the radiation will start in mid april.
SO ... I need to get back to posting goals, and being accountable. My weight is up about 3#, so too much emotional eating, which will not help.
But yesterday one of my old roommates drove 5 hours out of her way to stop and see us. She and her husband were in our area for a convention, but to drive that far out of their way was wonderful! She had lost a daughter this year to cancer, so it was so great to see each other. We laughed so hard, it was what we both needed. Nothing like good, longtime friends! And ... online friends on here! I miss you guys, and hope to remain more active on here!

Hey team,
Mixed news today-I found out that credentialing for the job I'm applying to takes about 4 months, and I can't start until that is set. That is much longer than I expected for starting the job, but I'm trying to look at it as a positive. This will give me more time to prepare, let my current work know, transition my clients, find a place, etc. The positive is that I found a great suit for my (to be determined) interview! I have a phone call with the recruiter on Tuesday morning before work, and I have NO idea what that call will entail so I'll need to do some research. Had a good day shopping with my sisters and then dinner with my bestie, so all in all a good day.
