04/07 248.4 I think this is a pre tom bounce up as I’ve been having some pms symptoms.
04/08 247.8 And back down again. I struggled a little yesterday morning due mostly to stress, but I realized that my way of eating was the single biggest thing I can control right now. That thought helped a lot and kept me on track. I thought I would share it in case it might help anyone else. Hang in there everyone.
04/09 247.0
04/10 247.6 I had a lunch/dinner “out” with the husband yesterday. I ate high, but still under maintenance. I also got the migraine that I usually get with tom, but no tom yet. I’m hopeful that I won’t get a second one once it decides to arrive.

Round 110 - April 7 to 16
Female, 5’, 67 years. SW – 165.8 GW – 164, UGW – 140.
Goals: continue with 12 hr. IF, complete my tracking every day and get some kind of outdoor exercise unless it is raining. Did not do well on the exercise the last couple of rounds and it shows – a steady creep up. Reminded by Tish’s video on breathing how important drinking water is. So this round I’m planning to work much harder on the exercise and drinking water.
Can’t control much else but this is a battle I can win – as someone wrote.
Day/Weight/Comment
04/07 -165.8 – Slept in so didn’t log.
04/08 – 165.8 –
04/09 – 165.6 – IF 12 hrs., tracked everything including water and was good, even with some ice cream. Beautiful day so spent ½ hr. cleaning up perennials in the yard.
04/10 – 165.6 – Made Easter bread but didn’t start till after lunch and it rises 3 times so had a slice mid-evening but was careful to make a light supper and no dessert/fruit. My bread has a lighter icing (has custard in it) but still icing sugar so not a great choice, even if within cals. Made DH happy though. Just have to be careful not to eat too much of it. Making pea soup today for some healthy fibre.
04/11 – 166 – Not sure if this is extra salt from the soup or extra bread – maybe both. Making rye today and leave the Easter bread for DH. I used to make most of my own bread but for many years now would just make it occasionally. Now I am trying to use up home-ground flour (they grew the rye and wheat and ground it for me) from my daughter. It doesn’t keep like the commercial stuff but tastes wonderful.

04/07: 178.2 (A nice 2 lb loss to start the round! I ate to plan and did another workout. My husband took a full body picture of me preworkout and I posted it on Instagram. I got a lot of comments saying how good I look and people asked me how I lost all the weight so far. It feels good to get that recognition!)
04/08: 177.4 (Yes, please go down! I’m happy to see this number. The hope is that by Friday I’ll have a brand new low. I had food to plan and did another hour long workout!)
04/09: 176.2 (I’m so close to my lowest weight! Just 0.2 pounds left I can basically see it. I did another YouTube workout last night and danced to Ariana Grande songs. I made a yummy Passover dinner last night that included a delicious garlic butter ribeye steak. It was a bit of an indulgence but necessary for a holiday!)
04/10: 176.0 (I finally got to the weight I was after being hospitalized at the end of September! It’s taken me 6 months but all that hard work finally paid off! I had a grilled cheese and chicken rice soup for dinner and did my last workout until Sunday!)

04/07 192.0 well going to maintenance calories has not “shocked” my body into losing, either. I’m going to be as super diligent with my tracking as possible and lower my target again. Someday I’ll get off this plateau.
04/08 191.8 so the plateau continues. 😠 Again green on calories, even at lower amount.
04/09 190.6 Scale movement, finally! After a depressing evening realizing I have a shin stress fracture, and a terrible night with the cathedral ceiling smoke detector doing the “need battery beep” all night (why does it do this each year after midnight? Why do we never remember to schedule the battery change? And there’s no way I’m dealing with this dangerous maneuver—balance on a ladder over a 1story drop—while alone in the house with a problematic leg), it’s really heartening to see some pay off!
04/10 189.8 Whoohoo! Off that 191-192 plateau and I finally got to type “18X”. Patience, it took patience and trust in my habits. Though I’m not counting on keeping this for tomorrow...I measured later in the morning than usual. But I’m ready to keep at this! Did chair weights yesterday, rested, ate well and under my calorie target.
04/11 190.0 Not shocked that I couldn’t keep a “18X” but still very happy to be in 190. Last night was a rare time I ate over target, but I was still well under maintenance calories so I’m hoping it doesn’t set me back much in the next few days.

04/06 …..202.8….. ENDING WEIGHT LAST ROUND
04/07 …..203.6 ….. I am hoping its water retention, but probably not. I enjoyed a movie night last night with my son which included snacks that didn’t belong. Not an over-abundance, but definitely outside of plan. I still had in over 5 miles total steps/walking for the course of the day, some small cabin cleaning and housework in my home and I made a pot of soup. Today I will work on taxes (again), and hopefully do some more prep cooking for my freezer. I hope to keep the carbs at a reasonable amount to help my glucose numbers continue to improveI don’t know about you, but I don’t want to be overheated or be a sweathog when summer finally hits, so I’ve got to stay focused! . Good luck everyone this round. Congratulations to all the great results I saw last round from so many!
04/08 …..203.5 ….. I did a dance session yesterday for 23 minutes. Sample song, “In my feelings (Kiki, do you love me?) by Drake. Yesterday was a successful day overall on my journey. Today (I am hopeful) will be even better.
04/09 …..203.9 ….. Okay, so good news and bad news. Bad news first: I had a small to medium binge last night. All cravings driven. I’ve had worse, but its something I just can’t afford right now. Now, for the good news: thanks to @dawnbgethealthy I tried her recommended zumba Fitness Marshall last night. It is going to take a minute to get used to the steps but I really liked it. I must say though, as much as I love all genres and decades of music, I am not familiar with most of this music. Also, I stumbled around a bit like a flailing bird with a broken wing so I am definitely not as cool as I thought I was. I looked and behaved more like an old 60 yr old woman who is out of shape, (oh, that’s right, I will be 60 soon and I do have quite a bit of weight to lose!) However, I’m going to try this a couple of days per week if all goes well. Especially during the shut-in, shelter-in-place orders. Of course, trying to work out in my home is almost impossible as there are constant people at my door and constant phone calls & interruptions (I run my motel and cabins from my home office on the premises). But, as always, I do my best. I have to say, though, working in a 24 hour per day business is not easy on anyone when you are the only employee! I hope you are all hanging in there. In Michigan USA our Governor has officially extended the shut-in until April 30th when it will be revisited.
04/10 …..203.2 ….. Okay, that is much better. It was a hard night last night. I made a plan that if severe hunger struck, I would have an egg. They are low calorie, only 1 carb and quite filling. But mostly, I am so SICK of them I knew I would not overeat them. So it was egg or nothing! Then, the sugar drop started coming on. It was slow but steady. I knew I had to eat, but an egg does not have enough carbs to bring up my sugar! Determined to stick to plan (as much as possible), I quickly scrambled my egg and made one piece of toast with butter. I made a half of egg sandwich (the bread would give me the carbs I needed) and I ate it and waited. Waiting is the hard part because the instinct is to keep eating until all the symptoms stop. I trusted the process and waited. Slowly (very slowly) I started to feel better. I am proud that I stuck to my plan as much as possible. It could have been a fast bowl of sugary cereal, but no, I stuck to the egg. I’m so glad I did. Luckily I still had calories left for the day. I traded out my last low carb snack for the 1/2 sandwich. The scale still rewarded me.
04/11 …..203.3 ….. Just a normal fluctuation. I did some walking yesterday and a small set of Zumba Fitness Marshall. I think I will be awkward on the Zumba for awhile, but it’s okay, I just keep moving even if I miss the step switches. Overall, a pretty good day. I did have another sugar drop last night, but I handled it. The slower ones are SO MUCH easier. Enjoy your Saturday everyone. I will be watching The Ten Commandments (3.5 hours long) with my son later. I know my diet and exercise for today will not be so good, but the time with my son will be wonderful.

04/07 - 354.1 - Looks like I might've broken thru that plateau I've been stuck on. Drank lots more water yesterday and it seems to have helped. No matter, onward and downward! Everyone stay safe!
04/08 - 354.5 - minor uptick. My losses have definitely slowed. But sticking to the program WILL get me there. But I now understand why so many get so discouraged when this happens. You put in the work, but don't get the results... temporarily. Everyone stay safe!!
04/09 - 353.4 - And down we go again. I think I'm thru this plateau/sticking point finally. Went for a walk this morning and then motivated myself with DDPYoga a bit later. And I still have a little bit of shopping and another walk tonite.
04/10 - 353.4 - My whole schedule was off today. I'll chalk the day up to being off on everything and call this my *pass* day.
04/11 - 353.6 - Virtually no change. I'm staying w/ the plan, though. Forward and, hopefully, downard. Stay the course.

04/11 136.2 – 9.47 miles walked yesterday. Feeling much happier with myself this morning, stuck to the healthy eating plan and only deviated with a very slightly larger glass of wine than planned, but still within calories; 267 calories in credit, 33 carbs over ( hot cross bun took me over). Hoping this is the “top of the curve” !!Will pre log all foods again today – it helped yesterday. Happy Easter Saturday everyone.

Looking forward:
I'm just too danged cussed to let this thing knock me back, and ruin all the effort I have put in to get here. I am stepping up my routine, and taking control. Sheltering in place means I can fully concentrate on getting in my exercise, and preparing healthy food.
- April: focus on maintaining and increasing my progress
- 2020: Goal is to stabilise weight around 145
- Strengthen strategies to reframe the tendency to use unhealthy snack food as a reward/treat.
- Make sure I have prepared healthy snacks available
- Cut down on eating between meals
Never give up! Never give in!
Back Story:2018 goal: get back down to 160 ✅2020
2019 goal: proceed down to 150 ✅ with 2 months to spare
2020 goal: maintain below 150 dropping slowly down to 145 ✅ So far, so good.
That's a WIN in my book!
Focus: maintenance! I might even manage to lose a bit more ever so slowly.

THERE ARE NO QUICK FIXES OR SHORTCUTS to achieving permanent change.
REMINDERS One or two thoughts which might give heart to some of you.- Daily weight fluctuations are normal, and can be as much as 2 lbs a day for no apparent reason.
- A general downward trend is what we are looking for.
- Eating out can cause apparent weight gain because of high sodium levels, but usually goes quickly. Drinking extra water helps with this.
- The human body does not react instantly to what we do to it. Sometimes it can take several days to see results.
- Plateaus are a normal part of the process. The body is consolidating and adapting to your new way of eating/exercising.
- The closer you get to your goal weight, the more difficult it becomes to lose weight, as your body becomes more efficient at using what you feed it.
- When you exercise you build muscle, which takes up less space than fat, so use measurements as well as weight to assess your progress.
- Getting/Staying fit and healthy requires a lifestyle change for most people.

R110 SW 134.0kg
Day | Weight | Change | Comment
04/07 | 133.9kg | -0.1kg | Good day yesterday! Tracked my calories and came in under target. Got 30 mins of exercise in throughout the day. Drank 2.5L+ of water. Ate lots of veggies. Feeling good after ticking off lots of goals for the day!
04/08 | 133.8kg | -0.1kg | Another good day yesterday. Tracked everything, came in just on target (like 20 cals over), got in 30 mins of exercise. Didn't drink enough water but still feeling good.
04/09 | 133.8kg | No change | Still on track yesterday! Really I ate too much bread but still came in right on calorie target. Did 30mins of walking around the house/in place, and drank all the water. At home alone today with the toddler, so movement is a little more restricted throughout the day but we might get out for an afternoon walk if the weather is nice!
04/10 | 133.9kg | +0.1kg | I didn’t track for yesterday but will do that shortly. I know I ate too much and made poor choices though! Got takeaway food for dinner as hubby was home late from his out of town trip. Didn’t get out for a walk with the little one but I did do 5 miles on the stationary bike and some standing ab work while he napped so I still got my 30 mins in. Did well with water. An average day overall! Also had to brave the supermarket with the little one, was pleasantly surprised to find many items back on the shelves!
04/11 | 134.0kg | +0.1kg
04/12 | 134.2kg | +0.2kg | Happy Easter to all! I have indulged in too much chocolate, too much beer, too much sodium, and have not had near enough water in the last couple of days. Feeling a bit down and eating my emotions. Need to do better.
