Hi Gang,
We have completed DAY 1 of the September TRIBAL Challenge!!! We are fabulous!!! Victorious Vixens! Yeah!!!
Just for clarification, the mini-challenge is ONE TIME only this week. So if you did it last night, then you're done with the mini-challenge! You just need to continue the daily exercise challenges in ADDITION to your individual exercise routine, sticking to your MFP calorie goal, and drinking your 64 oz of water.
Gary has started a blog that will be a MUCH easier reference for the daily exercise challenges....and it includes a video link to each exercise. Here's the link to the blog: http://mfpchallenges.blogspot.com/2011/09/september-challenge-week-2-pygmy-series.html
Keep up the GREAT work!!!
Cheers!0 -

Hi Gang,
A clarification...the exercises posted on Gary's blog are for NEXT WEEK. Week 2 of the September TRIBAL challenges starts on MONDAY. Sunday is a rest day for the challenge...if you normally do your own exercise routine on Sundays, then you should continue to do so.
ALSO--please give me your weekly weigh-in's by MIDNIGHT on Sundays. You can either post them to the thread or PM them to me.
Everyone is working their butts off!!! Yeah!! (Insert fist pump here).
Go Team VV!!!
Cheers,
Kim0 -

I'm so sorry team. I have been running around all day with doctor's appts and transferring my son from one school to another and getting myself enrolled in college. I have been non stop since 7am. I just got home right now with the groceries from Walmart.... I can't exercise today...
Am I allowed to trade my rest day? Do I do Day # 3 tomorrow? I'm really sorry.0 -
Question: It's 11pm in AZ so I felt guilty and did my swimmer presses. Was about to do Mountain climbers when I realized today was walk an extra mile. I can honestly say I walked more than a mile.. Is this taken in consideration? I did 6k steps today. That's an extra 2 miles I believe.0

So does it matter if we do PYGMY SERIES or BUSHMEN SERIES ?
Do whichever one is best suited for you. I switch 'em around....since I follow the Insanity workout program as my personal exercise routine, I do the pymy series most days. On my rest days I do the BUSHMEN series. From my understanding, those doing the bushmen series need to start off with a "Tabata" exercise set prior to the actual bushmen exercises...I posted a link previous in the thread....I'll find it again this afternoon and repost it on the thread so it's a bit easier to find.
Happy Saturday!0 -

I think that's fine....we are really busy adults with jobs, lives, and most of us have children. Some days just get crazy. I do want to stress that if we have promised ourselves that we will "trade the day X" as our rest day, then we need to keep that promise to ourselves and workout on what the originally slated "rest day.". (I hope that makes sense.) I truly believe that the overall goal of this challenge is to become the best versions of ourselves, physically and mentally. We are here for motivation and support to keep each other going.
I do not judge anyone for "taking a mental health day", so to speak...0 -

Two hours of roller skating...that's awesome! The mini-challenge is a one-time only deal...so if you do it today or tomorrow, you still get credit.

Yeah we are going again tonight;) Did I mention I LOVE roller skating?? Ohhh OOohh AND there is a lady up at the rink whose daughter is about to outgrow her skates. This kid has the about the same size as I do.. DID I MENTION - these are not just any skates - These are Ridell boots - german bearings and custom wheels... For those who don't know what this means, they are $500 skates.... ANNNND they are thinking about selling them when they order new ones. WHO IN THEIR RIGHT MIND gets their growing KID $500 skates?? err anywho - assuming they don't want an arm and a leg - those babies may be mine by Christmas.. Can you imagine?? Honestly I am a little afraid they are still going to want over $100 or so - and I just can't go over that so we'll see. (It might help that they are under the impression we are "poor" - of course when you think about it compared to them I guess we are;)
I hope it works out- but if it doesn't I really do love my little Rock skates. And my husband has promised to do some work on the bearings for me.0 -

So disappointed by this week. I weighed myself this morning. I gained weight. 130.8. My old scale was off about 5 lbs so this whole time I thought I weighed 122 ish then i got a nice scale that measures fat % and water and it said 128 a week ago. I didn't log food or excercise last weekend because of the hurricane and staying in a hotel. I didn't pig out. I just don't know what to do. I'm not giving up. i just need to work harder. Today is grocery shopping so I'm going to be alot more picky. Any suggestions? Wish me luck.0
