Im here and still trying! Stress eating was the name of the game the first three weeks of the quarantine but the last two have brought back my focus to a degree and I feel more energy around getting stronger again.19

I somehow missed the last walk interval of C25K Week 4 Day 2. I kept waiting for the bell, so when I heard it I about $h!t when I had to keep running. Steep hill still conquered. I'm going to wear that sucker down.14

I've been doing PT exercises for back and knee, and my abs are sore. It's a victory to discover I still have abs12

I'm about a third of the way on my weight loss journey and I've just realised I'm starting to feel good about myself. So much happier, enjoying find old clothes that fit, window shopping online at cute outfits and not hating the idea of showing my body off. I've still got a huge way to go to my 100 pound target loss but the mental shift has definitely started.21

Today is my Mom's birthday. She passed away in 2018. I talk to her every day and as I pass by her photo, I give her the thumbs up after my workouts. I know she would be proud of me, and also telling me to take my vitamins haha. Miss you Mom!36

This scene is a huge nsv for someone like me as I've only experienced this watching movies not real life...
I was so unbelievably flattered this morning...
I went to pick up my free birthday latte at Starbucks but wasn't ready yet so walked away. Behind me was a handsome tall young man with blue eyes at least 10 years younger than me, when I turned back around to check my order I caught him at a total frozen pause at the doorway threshold holding door open staring at me unabashedly with a huge smile even boldly did the slow once over body scan. I NEVER got that kind of attention when I was obese... I'm so motivated now to stay at my high school weight and keep my girlish figure...20 -
The last 6 months have been a struggle for me. Broken arm, surgery, cancelled trips and running events due to broken arm, holiday and vacation weight gain, illness, family emergency travel, mother's death, pandemic. It all seems to be running together lately.
My NSV came today when I finished a nice long 90 minute run and realized I ran over 100 miles in April! Goal for May? Do it again!35 -
14 chin ups in a row. not bad since I could barely do 2 a year ago.25

I measured myself like four times because I thought I was doing it wrong, but I'm reasonably sure now: I've lost three inches off my waist since the last time I measured. After months and months of not seeing any change.
I also dropped out of an obese BMI into an overweight one. I'm soooo tempted to reward myself with clothes... but I've still got 30 lbs to lose and I'd rather not buy stuff I'm gonna shrink out of right away.
So I'm rewarding myself with sushi for dinner instead. I know food rewards aren't ideal, but if it fits my calories that's what matters most.38 -
This month has affected me in so many terrible ways (it's a sad story that doesn't need to spread), so I've indulged in some retail therapy. What I've come to realize is that... I use to buy smalls on a 'risk'. They "generally might" fit, and a medium would definitely fit. So I'd risk the smalls not fitting and I'd generally be okay, but I could take stuff back easy peasy (in the Before).
Now, I find that... smalls are no longer a risk. Unless the risk is that they might be too big. In the not-so-easy-to-return After, I realize that... I'm now more of an XS/S than ever before, despite no real weight loss. (Now, lack of sleep, depression, anxiety; they are all affecting my water weight, honestly, since I know that if I do not get adequate sleep, I retain water. Plus it's been hot here lately, and since I puff up when I get hot and don't sweat... well I feel it in my hands).
Anyway, this is long and rambling to say that despite the pandemic and the stay-at-home and despite the RL tragedy affecting me, I have transitioned to being in XS a good 40% of the time (I think; it's a guess) and S 100% of the time.
I've also transitioned into eating at my goal weight maintenance calories, though I'm not there yet, but if I eat like I want to be, eventually, I will be. And it's easier for me to manage than trying to "lose weight" when other things crowd everything else out.
My dragon bested me this month, and probably this year, but I'll get up again. Repair my armor, and fight again another day.33 -

I LOVE you and thank you so much for posting. It's VERY inspirational to know that although you and millions upon millions of people all over the world are so struggling with this "life (as we knew it) altering traumatic terrorizing mess". Please know you are so not alone and your attitude and courage is so encouraging. Thank you again so much for posting and YAY YOU for ALL of your victories and cheering you on with your daily dragon battles. This/these monsters "may" win a few battles, but you are winning the over-all war with your rolling with the punches and stiff upper lip...YOU ROCK, period.

My absolute pleasure and honor and here's one more hug, just because {{{{ HUGS }}}}}2 -
Did hard physical work all day long and had calories left for candy... Pre=logged it and everything...
Got to drinking my tea and playing my video game... and forgot to eat it.
I FORGOT to eat chocolate?!? Did the pod people come for me, or what?30 -
Currently at a BMI of over 28 still, and plenty of 'flab' left to reduce, but I noticed my calves are looking more defined! Must be all that walking and jogging I've been doing.
Which reminds me that I need to get back to my strength training, I don't want to end up 95% flabby with muscular calves16 -
This may be super lame, but I did 15 consecutive jumps with my new jump rope!
It's not as easy as I remember and my rope was definitely too long, but I'll call it a success! 🎉😂
My next short-term goal is 50 without stopping/tripping up35 -
None of my bikini bottoms fit. I can’t wait to hit the gym again to aim for that 🍑 booty!!! Band work for now.11
-
My summer shirts and shorts still fit---if not a little big. This quaranEATING hasn't hurt me yet! LOL! Actually, it has been easier to watch my carbs and calories and not overeat because of work stresses.19

My eyesight is getting so much better...I haven't needed to put my glasses on to read or see clearly in sometime! When I do put my glasses on, my natural eye-sight is so much better/easier on my eyes than my glasses!!!!14

Homeschooling from the kitchen table without snacking!22

After spending the first week of stay at home orders back in March self-medicating with wine, I opted not to drink alcohol for the remainder of quarantine, lest I come out of this pandemic situation with another problem. Haha Grateful to be alcohol free since mid March.31

Nice! I found myself turning to alcohol a little too much, too. I've only been alcohol-free for eight days, but I'm gonna stick it out until the end of quarantine, as well, maybe longer.21 -
I walked 20,000 steps yesterday. Admittedly I can hardly move today but I got through day 2 of couchto5k so proud of that!27

Yesterday we had pizza for dinner. I ate my three pieces, and there was some left.
I wanted to eat it. I hate leftovers. I love pizza. I was still slightly hungry. It wouldn't have been the end of the world.
But I thought about how full I would be, and how uncomfortable and gross overeating makes me feel, and how my brain is laughably bad at estimating how much food its actually looking at.
So I put it in the fridge.
I didn't binge last night on my biggest trigger food.
I win this round BED.38 -
I’m on day 4 of a radically new way of eating for me. Lots of fruit and veggies. And I’ve stuck with it! Also I tried jogging twice this week and felt great afterwards. It’s a big change and I feel really happy about it!22

Today I went for a long walk outside and first time ever average pace was over 4 mph....actually 4.1 mph 😉 Last year when I was barely a month into my journey, my average speed was lucky to be at 3 mph with several breaks along the way. The human body is incredible when you treat it right.27

Did my first run of the year on 4/1, 3 m at 9:14 min/mile, stopping to gasp at the halfway point for a few minutes, and once or twice in the last mile. Progressively got a bit faster, fewer stops, so I thought to myself this weekend that I could probably run 4m if I slowed down a bit. Well, I did—twice. First run was 8:47 min miles, 2nd was 8:43 min miles, no stops at all! Hips are protesting a bit, so I’ll give running a rest for a few days, but it felt good to overcome that mental and physical hurdle.26

When I started doing yoga 6 weeks ago, I couldn't do triangle pose because I was so inflexible. Now I can do it and it feels amazing to have gained so much range of motion.28

I broke up with an emotionally toxic boyfriend in October. I love him. I still do. I also was miserable for the year we were together. He reached out to me out of the blue two days ago after 7 months of silence. Mind you, I know he's tried to ask girls out between break up and now, and I know he's also been denied every time (he works with a few of my closest friends). So.. his birthday is coming up, I'm sure he's feeling lonely. My NSV is that he asked if I liked my new job, I responded "yes". He asked if I worked nights... i responded with "You lost the right to know my schedule"... and haven't heard another peep from him since. It felt SO good because I broke the habit of always going back, no matter how awful it is, because in my mind being alone was worse. NOT ANYMORE. I broke that habit, I feel good, I've lost 64 lbs and there is no looking back. Losing weight and exercising helped me realized I am worth more and I deserve more. I kinda wish I worked it so we had met up... so I can get an apology for how he treated me, but I realized months ago that apology would never come.. so I went the route I did with the he lost the right to know anything about me. Woot!67
