I ran away from home when I was 12 years old.
I was gone for about 90 minutes..... then I got hungry & went home and made a sandwich.
Nobody knew that I was gone.2 -

I ran away and hid in the hallway of our 3 family home when I was 5. I came back when I heard my mother crying.
I left home again when I was 17 to live with my grandmother. I went back when I heard my mother crying.
I moved into my own apartment when I was 19.
I don’t know if anyone would notice I’m gone. Maybe when they get hungry.1 -
I feel like really tired. I wish I could sleep but school never does.0

I ran away when I was sixteen. Only came back cuz of my seven year old brother. I didn’t run cuz of my parents. I ran cuz of me.1 -

I ran away at 17 years old and my Mom didn't notice I was gone until the very next day. This was because I called her and asked her to pick me up from my friend's house.
This is what happens when you're the middle child.
True story.
Now I'll go eat my feelings.4 -

My uncle once threatened to runaway when he was like 12 years old... My grandmother grabbed him, dragged him to the door and pushed him outside and said "Fine Go!"... 😂😂😂
He didn't run away1 -

I would notice if my middle kid wasn’t here. He has a way of making his presence known1 -

When I ran away, I ran away.
Took them 3days to find me when we lived in Brazil,
took a week to find me when I hopped a bus at midnight headed for Houston.

I am conflicted between social distancing requests and wanting to you know.. go live my life again.
On the one hand, I don't want to be unknowingly spreading infection to others or be around large groups of *kitten* not practicing social distancing or mask wearing, but on the other hand, I would like to go out in public again and participate in normal things like sitting down to a meal, walking along the boardwalk at the beach or perusing a store just for the sake of window-gazing.
But.. I have been watching news/media showcasing people absolutely NOT engaging in any proper measures to cut down transmission and just in general doing selfish people things. I don't want to be part of that.
So here I sit. Still. Going slowly crazy. My nightly walk is the only remaining shred of sanity I still have.4 -
My kid screaming like I am inflicting unholy and massive amounts of pain on her...... when I am trying to get the tiny splinter that is turning into a cyst or one of those puss balls you get with ingrown hairs, out of her finger.
I failed, btw.
She screamed so hard she almost made herself vomit. And I barely did anything. No needle. No tweezers. Nothing.
Its still there. Been a month now.
Now I feel like a failure because I didn't get it out.
I feel like a failure because I apparently am a monster that hurts her child.
Pardon me while I drown my tears in some booze for a little while....
Sorry that happened. 😔
Hope you can get it out soon.
Kids are tougher than we give them credit for a lot of the time.
Don't be too hard on yourself.
I'm sure she knows you're not trying to hurt but help her, regardless of whether she can see it in the moment.1 -

I refuse to participate. The avatars freak me out and don't look like the people they're supposed to portray (my opinion).1 -

My copy is so old it’ll probably fall apart as I turn the pages. It has the most marvelous smell.

Watching Back to the Future with my boy...
He rewinds it to the scene in the Dinner and paused it on the jukebox and says "Daddy what is that thing"
Guess...
"Is it a clock"... No
"Is it to play music"... Yes its a jukebox, you put in a coin and pick your song and a little arm grabs the record and plays it on a record player...
