Hi there. There are lots of us that have over 100 lbs to lose, me being one of them! Good luck to you!

Yes! You are not alone. I have lost and regained almost 100 pounds - twice - and now I am the heaviest I have ever been. The absolute key to losing weight is TRACKING everything that goes in your pie hole, so you're off to a good start. Easy to get discouraged when you have so much to lose, but the time will go by anyway, whether you're heavy or losing weight. We can do this!15

Hi Me too. Newbie with 100+ to lose. It seems SO overwhelming but I must get healthy. In addition to tracking, I am trying to build habit of 1g water/day * walking 30m/day * food prep * 10m/day dumbbells.4

Yup; I'm at 131 lbs gone and counting as I still have at minimum 80 lbs to go. There's an active thread for those with large amounts to lose:
https://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/group/133315-larger-losers
Its a great place to go to talk with others who know the challenges that come with losing a lot of weight!11 -
Hi! I’m also trying to loose 100 pounds! I lost 30 at one point then gained it all back. I want so bad to set a better example for my kids.4
-
I'm restarting - I lost over 100lbs then regained it all very quickly. Back on here now and 12lb into my journey, still with at least 100lbs to go!3

I'm trying to start again. I'm currently the heaviest that I've ever been and I have 100 pounds to lose. I saw a picture of myself the other day and it finally clicked just how heavy I am.2

Hi there! I would like to lose 100lbs but realistically my first goal is to lose 50lbs, and making little goals of 10lbs along the way. I only started last month so I've got a long way to go!4

I just want to offer some encouragment for all of you... You can do this! Surround yourself with like minded individuals... folks that will motivate, inspire, encourage and challenge you. Set yourself a long term goal (sounds like most of you already have that covered) and then set mini goals. Try to move a little every day. You don't have to start out trying to run a marathon... just walk. One foot in front of the other. Consider buying a digital food scale and weigh your food to log it in your food diary as accurately as possible. What we often think is a serving is far from it. Take progress pictures - FREQUENTLY. They can be for your eyes only... but they will show you change when the scale might not be giving you the results you desire. Focus guys! Y'all can do this!! You've Got This!!7

I have 100lbs to lose and lost 30 and gained back during quarentine ready to get it back off and then some. I dont have anyone where i live that will walk or anything like that so later it's off to the gym to kick start things. Our gym just opened yesterday. Here to support! You can do this, we can all do this!

I've been yo-yoing all my life. I was at my best health (running 3 miles in one go, etc) and then I went through a massive home-life struggle. Long story short it's been less than two years since then and I've gained 110 lbs and so here I am restarting. You're definitely not alone.2

I was overweight my entire life , I had a 5 years span where I’ve lost 80 lbs 6-7 years back. Was best shape of my life and had a ton of motivation. Tho my mental health was not good I was very depressed and robot like in my normal days . Became obsessed with fitness but was not happy . After falling off the way hard in this time I’ve gained and lost a bunch of weight but fast forward to today I’ve gained all that back plus more (+ 110ish) Tho my mood Is great I really miss that skinny feel. I’m resorting back to forums because this is what kept me motivated when I was most successful . We all are in this togethor2

I don't have a set number of lbs I am personally looking to lose. However, I know that medically I would probably need to lose approximately 150lbs to be considered "healthy".
Personally, I just want to get to a weight where I feel stronger and can be more active, but I know that is a long road since I have been fat my whole life.
Well, 6lbs down and we'll see where I end up.
Everyone remember - You can want to lose weight/get healthy and still love yourself! That is the most important part. Don't shame yourself for being human, just keep trying and you'll get there8 -
Down 94.4 pounds. 5.6 to go. Had some stop and starts due to unrelated medical things. For me, slow and steady wins the race. Do not give up. Every day is a new opportunity to eat healthy.10

June 1st 2020 was my first day on the journey to losing weight my doctor suggest I put this app on my phone and so today i decided to check it out I have 100+ pounds to lose and I need help6

Started with about 230 pounds to lose. Im down about 45. Still a ways to go, but i think the saying goes something like regret and discipline are both painful, but discipline is measure in ounces and regret is measured in pounds. I know its easier said than done, and I have to remind myself nearly every day, but just keep tracking, keep making the next right choice, keep in your mind REAL reasons you want and need to shed the extra weight..yes we all want to look good in the mirror, but what else?
You can do it! I can do it too!3 -
Yes!! Anyone please feel free to add me and we can motivate each other!0

Me! June 1st was my restart day and I have at LEAST 100 to lose. I've literally tried everything and the ONLY thing I've ever been successful at all is counting calories. So here I am again. I was on a good roll a couple of years ago, but have now gained it all back. It feels so overwhelming. I especially need help with what to do to keep from overeating at night. I can eat perfectly well all day long and then just completely ruin it in the evening. I do this constantly and sabotage myself. That and portion control are my biggest issues for sure. I'd love to have friends on here to help and encourage each other. Please add me!2

I too have a 100 to lose!

I'm 72 and have lost and gained several people throughout my lifetime. I decided if I want to live longer I need to lose weight (I'm morbidly obese) and keep it off; and I need to exercise. One thing I'd never done before was to join any groups. This time I have.
LARGER LOSERS -- Like @bmeadows380 above, I'm part of the Larger Losers group -- https://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/group/133315-larger-losers ---
I start my day with a thread called Today's Goals. It allows me to get my mindset into MFP, healthy eating, doing exercise, and planning my tasks for the day. I do pop into a couple of the other threads in the group occasionally.
FAT2FIT --- https://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/10797998/june-2020-fat2fit-registration#latest
..... I like Fat2Fit because it is a team based group and sets competitive goals each month. One is usually a STEP Challenge. I especially appreciate that they consider 5 minutes = 500 steps since I can only do aerobic stuff in 5 minute chunks (due to lung issues), I can still record 2000 steps for the day. Different teams may have different challenges. My team has a June jump rope challenge A June challenge for all members is Two Magic Numbers -- meaning you determine 2 measurable things you want to work on; i.e., amt of water/day, hours of sleep/night, amt of exercise, etc.
..... F2F gives me challenges I can do to compete with myself ... and with my team. There is also a Habit Tracker that I've found helpful.
Women 200lb+, Let's Shoot for the Moon this June!!! -- This is a thread in the Motivation & Support category. Since my starting weight was 308 lbs, I thought this group of women who also have a great deal of weight to lose would help me keep my motivation ... as well as allow me to support others.
I hope you'll try any of the above -- or all -- I'm finding it has made a big difference to me.3 -
Hi, feel free to add me.
This is a great starting point. There are lots of people on here willing to share their experiences. I Lost, gained and now I've given myself a kick and im back in the saddle.
Good luck0 -
Hi there! I would like to lose 100lbs but realistically my first goal is to lose 50lbs, and making little goals of 10lbs along the way. I only started last month so I've got a long way to go!
That’s what I’m doing as well. Almost at a 20 pound loss. With many more to go like a lot of others here. Ur I also and setting mini goals. That way I feel accomplished when I reach it and can have little victories along the way. If you set too big a goal then it seems like it’s not do-able.1 -

Any of you can add me! I’ve still got 100 pounds to lose.0

I started in January 2020 with 187 to lose. I've lost 64, so I'm roughly 1/3 of the way. We can do this!
