Miss T will have 2 new meds that she must take daily so no more of this diva stuff, syringe time (no needle) twice a day. One to drain fluid in her lungs and one for her heart. She will have an ultrasound soon for more heart details. I am a wet noodle.

Oh gosh. That had to be so scary. Glad it’s just more meds, for now. Please let us know about the ultrasound. Will be thinking of you and Miss T. Hugs

Miss T is in an oxygen room for at least a night maybe 2. Think more$$$ than I planned but do I pay now or lose her sooner?? For me that is not a question.

Clinic didnt like her progress with the diuretic and recommended I take her to the hospital where she is now.

Now to get $20. and drop it in my gas tank. But that is tomorrow.

So sorry about Miss Tillie. Hurts my heart when furbabies are ill.

I'm still around--and getting rounder every day. Taking a break that currently has no end date.

I read every day and keep up with the board. Best to all of you!

    FRIDAY

    Good morning,

Quick note- overslept as I had trouble sleeping - I knew I would.

Dog still in hospital no phone calls one way or another. Cried more yesterday than I have in a long time. I was so pissed at the rudeness of the receptionist that I just sat there and cried in their hall way. COVID made us sit outside in the heat under their mister which was of little help.

Just glad it is Friday and I can recoup over the weekend.

Thank you Tracy/Lana for getting us started.

    Wave to all who follow.

    Hey there Tracy~~

I didn't see your post until now because I often bungle things when our posts go onto a new page....Those new pages just seem to pop up and surprise me. 🤦🏼‍♀️

It's good to see you! Do whatever you can nowadays. We will get there eventually, even if we have to take a break from time to time.

    Hugs,
    Lana

Sara- please let us know how Miss T is doing, when you can.

Gma's surgery went well. They were able to remove polyp, no colostomy bag. Thank goodness. They did have trouble waking her up. So, she will be staying the night. She won't be happy with that. But, it's definitely for her own good. One person will be allowed to visit... once she is in a regular room... who knows when that might be... but, she is ok... Thank you all for your prayers and good thoughts...

Lynn- how is FIL? Did his surgery go well? Update when you can...

Dawn - Thank you for the update and good news on your gma. If they keep her overnight for observation that is not uncommon.

Miss T is mad because I had to shoot medication into her mouth and made her take it. These are her new heart meds and she cant thumb her nose at them. I now have to find lower sodium wet food for her. Get ready for the dirty looks from Miss T.

    ***** SATURDAY ******

    Good morning All~~

Dawn - What wonderful news about the successful surgery on your grandmother. Wow, I bet that you are feeling pretty good today. I hope that she does well and is comfortable enough for the next few days of recovery. I like when they keep older people in the hospital for a day or two, just in case.

Sara - It's great to hear that Miss Tillie is home and coming along. I hope that you got that meds container open without causing yourself bodily harm. 😊

Lynn - please check in when you can and let us know....

Waving to everyone else who stops by later on~~

    Good morning,

Dogs new schedule is messing me up but luckily it is the weekend. She had her morning meds and I am waiting about 20 minutes to give her food as one must be taken on an empty stomach. I will go to my regular Vet today and give them the 10 mask mates I made and ask about low sodium food as well. Seems baby food also works so I get to spend time in the baby section of a store. She has tender legs from yesterday, but I am going to make her walk to her food.

Lana - how did you know? If the bottle is a liquid hold the bottle upside down!!! I finally saw the image before I asked someone else for assistance.

Dawn - I bet your gma is thrilled to have this all done and over with. Let us know how you are both doing.

No plans set for today and with dog that is probably a good thing.

    Wave to all who follow.

My 3 days at the beach were good. I wish I slept better there. So sorry to hear Miss T's health concerns. It so hard since we love them so much. You are a good mommy Sara.

Holly glad your retreat was productive.

Miss T is my shadow right now but she is doing okay. Her 2nd portion of dinner is soon. She had to take meds on an empty stomach so I wait an hour between food and meds. I dont know if that is correct. I am just glad she is eating.
Thank you Holly for your kind words.

    SUNDAY

    Good morning,

Fighting dog to take meds is bad enough but when the medicine clogs the syringe that it the worst.

Groceries this morning, some cooking, but I am hoping for another restful day as both dog and I are tired.

Wave to all who follow. Stay safe out there.

Don't know what is in store for you and Miss T but when a previous let of mine was diagnosed with kidney failure I got the special food and followed the vet's advice and had Odie for another 2 1\2 years. Just snuggle and relax with her today. Enjoy

    Good morning Sara~~

I hope that things get easier for you and Miss T. I bet you are tired!

Thank you ever so much for that amazing card! It is SO pretty! I love it 💖
I've got the perfect spot for it - in front of my Buddha painting on my studio window ledge. 🤗

Lana - thank you I have been wondering about mail delivery as only 2 of 5 people have mentioned they received a card. I am glad you have a good place for it.

I am off to have lunch and then start baking and cooking so my week is easier.

More changes in my daily life makes energy difficult but still no ice cream in the house, cake yes, but no ice cream and I have substituted plantain chips for less nutritious snack items.

Sara- so glad Miss T is home. Meds and pups can be tricky..hopefully, she’ll start taking it better for you..

I am very thankful that everything went well with Gmas surgery. But, I’m incredibly frustrated right now. She has trouble walking, uses cane or walker. When we left the hospital Saturday, she wanted to go to cemetery to Gpas grave. The hospital was close. She also wanted to go out to eat. Mom and I had just ate, so I offered to order online for pick up. While I sat in car doing so, she fell in the cemetery. She was ok. Just struggled to get up. Then, after she ate, she wanted to go shopping. I told her no and she got upset... where she wanted to go was closed and only doing pick up, anyway. Found out, this evening, that my Uncle took her shopping this morning and she fell. Now, Gma is incredibly stubborn and will “pout” when told no. It’s like dealing with a child. So, I’m sure he just didn’t want to listen and he spoke with my mom who I guess was ok with it. I just don’t get it. She is almost 85 years old. She has cancer. She just had surgery. She should be at home. I feel like, no one understands this. The whole time I was with my family, I felt like no one understands me. I love my family. I just don’t really feel like I belong...

Sorry, that was a lot of whining. On some good news (hopefully) my nephew got engaged, today. He is 29 . I have no idea how old his fiancé is. But, they just seem so young to me. I’m going to try to think positive and hope they wait a bit to get married..as his sisters wedding is in September...lol

Sorry for the long post. Back to work, tomorrow...blah..

Hope everyone had a good weekend..

Dawn, members of your family would rather do as your gma wants as it is easier. You cannot change that. You cannot change your family or your gma. Try to look past it, know your gma is doing better if she wants to go shopping......great job burning calories carpet cleaning is a work out.

    MONDAY

    Good morning,

Not really awake. Nice that I can get up later in the morning, it would be better if I went to bed at my regular time.

Dog apt after work. Note in 2 places to remind me as I usually sleep, but I can sleep afterwards.

Lots of cooking so good part of week set up.

Wave to all who follow. Stay safe out there.

    Good morning Sara and Holly~~

I eat a big breakfast at roughly 10AM every day. Eggs & veggies with a bit of shredded cheese; often I have some ham or two sausage links. Sometimes I have orange juice.
I get up around 7am and drink my mostly decaf coffee.

Dawn - I agree with Sara and her observations about your grandmother. There's nothing that you can do except be supportive. It's impossible to corral an entire family! You rock for doing her carpets!!!

    Good morning, all!

Dawn--Hugs. It is hard to raise family. Especially when they are "adults."

    Sara--Hope Miss Tillie feels better.

Some events this weekend have given me a little motivation to clean up my food intake a little. Famous Serial Starter words--No sugar, No grains from today forward.

The main event was certifying the new bowling alley in a nearby town for League use. This business is not open yet. (Actually not even completed. The floors are not finished, no seating installed. No computers yet.) However, the Lanes themselves are ready. Certification is a lengthy process of measuring to be sure every aspect of the lane is within a very strict tolerance.

It was exciting and exhausting. A lot of up and down and a lot of walking. A year ago would not have been a problem. Now, I hurt all over.

So back to the main point. I am not trying to lose weight as much as I would like to be able to move without joint pain. To achieve this goal, inflammation must be reduced. Sugar and grains are the biggest enemies to my joint health.

Since measuring joint pain is not a thing, weight will still be the yardstick. Here goes:

    Hi all!
Thank you for remembering and asking about FIL. Surgery more complicated than expected - but he did well. Is walking and starting his recovery, so that is good. No surprises when they opened him up.
Dawn - your stubborn Gramma made me smile. I have one like that too. But it is hard to say no to an 85 year old Gramma- even if it is for her own good. Good for you in doing so. Glad she is doing well.
Sara - I am glad Ms T is hanging in there. I don't envy you giving her meds though. That is always fun. If only we could reason with dogs - life would be easier :)
Lana - hello! Your breakfast sounds like mine. I do not do well making it through the AM without protein for breakfast.
Tracy - Great goals - you got this! Pain is a motivator for me as well. Our bodies don't always cooperate do they?
Have a great Monday! Was my birthday yesterday and Mother Nature brought me 75, sunny and breezy. GREAT day!
