I am in public safety equipment procurement or like a visiting crackhead once put it, "I be gettin da po-lice dey stuff!".
I run a uniform shop for police, fire, EMS and security. LEO's feel free to add me!
  • I'm a retail merchandising manager. On my feet all day and love it! I left retail for about two years to work for a nonprofit and gained about 20lbs. I love my job and want to wear all the outfits that I create for others to buy!

I'm another CADdy; AutoCAD and Microstation for an engineering company that deals with instrument and control of mainly mine sites, gas rigs, etc... Stuck in front of my PC all day too, boo-urns!

But I like to earn a few extra bucks now and again doing photography, LOVE that. Wish I could do it full time.
  • Maybe it's because I'm unemployed, but all these jobs sound interested, especially the investigator.. I'm so bored of not having a job. I was fortunate to be able to quit my work before and go back to school and how I'm in the search. Always getting the "your over qualified" You're under-qualified". or my favorite "you don't have enough experience". Duh, how do they expect one to get experience if they don't give you a chance.... I think it was a mistake to quit the work i was doing (retail) to go back to school..
  • I am a Deputy Sheriff for GCSO
  • I am a nanny of twin 3 month old babies!
  • I'm a unix systems administrator. I work in an office full of engineers and make sure they can design computer chips and stuff. My commute's less than a mile and I can swivel in my desk chair and see the ocean :)

I LOVE my job and the people I work with. Going into work every day and knowing that I'm valued and necessary rocks. We work hard, we laugh, we have fun.

I hear ya. I didn't quit to go back to school, but quit to move to Italy with my then-boyfriend. I taught English to a couple little Italian kids and loved it.

Unemployed atm. Worked in the financial industry before that, in an Annuity call center. If anyone has a job opening, let me know. I'll move anywhere right now (as long as I can afford the plane ticket, of course!) :drinker:
  • I am an insurance agent and sit most of the day....I think of things to just get up and MOVE!!
