Was wondering why 'Coffee With Sugar and Milk - Coffee, 1 cup" shows that it has 20g of protein! How can that be possible. I entered the above info in my food diary and that is what showed up.

Many entries are just... wrong.
It would be better to find your actual coffee brand, and log that. Check the package to make sure it matches. Repeat the process with the sugar and the milk.
Make sure you actually measure, or better yet, weigh your food. So "one cup of coffee with milk and sugar" is meaningless. How many grams of sugar? What kind of milk, and how much did it weigh?
Then, if you always have the same combo, you can copy it from day to day and just change the weights (if they varied).6 -
thank you. yeah that makes more sense! and yet 20g of protein in a cup of coffee does seem rather farfetched!

and just to see if milk could be the reason, I added a cup of whole milk and it showed 8g of protein only! Something is wrong somewhere

Again, many many many of the entries are wrong in MFP. I manually enter if needed, but sometimes things are only off by maybe 1 carb or 2 calories and then I don’t worry about it. I ALWAYS check though to make sure they are right or at least seem reasonably possible.1

Many people put protein powder in their coffee. Especially Keto people.
You already got the answers above, I just thought I'd expand.
When you go to add a food, a Nutrition Box will pop up after you have chosen it from the list. In that box is a green button that says "Nutrition Info" - click that and it will show the amounts. It will say, "Is this data accurate?" You can then say (click) "No" and edit it if you want, and if you do it will then be listed in your MY FOODS.4 -
