Such a good feeling! I can do right elbow to left knee and sometimes left elbow to right knee. Will be so happy when I can do both consistently.8 -
The last time I wore this sherbert colored dress was sophomore homecoming - 14 years ago!
This black number was 16 years ago - 8th grade dance. I'd say it's about 2.5 inches from zipping up the back. More busty now than in 8th grade 🤣
Felt good to put them on, and definitely shocking!
**please pay no attention to my sister's messy room**25 -
The last time I went to the doctor (in December) my A1C put me just into pre-diabetic range (on the low end), and this afternoon after drinking a fruit smoothie (banana, pineapple, mandarin orange, and plain yogurt) my blood sugar was only 106. i don't check my blood sugar regularly, but I was just curious how the smoothie would affect me since that's quite a bit of sugar. I will have another A1C test in August and I'm interested to see what it says.15

I am only 27 pounds down and still have lots to go but my NSV is that my belly is not rubbing on my steering wheel anymore when I'm driving!!30

I've been swimming a lot this summer and it's toning my arms. Taking my blood pressure is no longer killing me! And my systolic bp has gone down 40 points from a couple of years ago.16

I realized that... Actually? I can't really call myself lazy anymore. Which kind of shocked me, since I've always considered myself a couch potato. But I now workout 6 days a week, 3 of those days for about an hour. I prepare many of my meals ahead of time, and diligently track my food and exercise on top of my usual work and hobby related stuff. So I guess.... I'm not lazy?? I actually am a hard worker??? Wild lol30

You are doing great! Those are the things that make this worth the effort! I remember the day when I realized that my stomach no longer rubbed on the edge of my desk as I worked. I was so excited I had to announce it to my colleagues!9 -
My normal jeans became my fat pants and I'm going to throw them in the dryer soon to shrink them a little 🙌
They still fit when I'm sitting but when I'm walking I'm constantly pulling them up so I think it's time. Wish me luck(I'm secretly still terrified they won't fit me after)19 -
Since I started eating healthier and keeping track of my food and exercise, I am able to walk for an hour a day indoors and at least 40 minutes outdoors. I feel better every day and my blood pressure has gone down to the normal range for the first time in many years. Oh, and I am back to having only 1 chin!!26

I am down to the lowest weight I have been in 2 years. Now to beat that.15

Congratulations! It is so nice to see your efforts pay off with better health! Keep it up!5 -
I'm having a forced week or two of rest from exercise (🙏 not more) thanks to knee/shin pain. I'm feeling pretty smug because I've recognised that it will massively impact my calorie burn and I've adjusted my allowance and tightned up my logging and I've swapped out doing loads for daily yoga and small walks. Rather than just forget my goals because I'm frustrated (that happened last year) I've trying to learn from my mistakes and make a different sort of progress. Big self-pat on my back!21

I still got it! The incredible impact of determination, persistence and overall willpower. I mentioned earlier the "no excuses" mindset was the NSV I needed to kickstart my weight loss goal. After 2 failed weight loss attempts ,January 1st and May 1st, I restarted my weight loss journey on July 4th and I'm down 4lbs. It's incredible what you can achieve with the right mindset. When you are sick and tired of being sick and tired and you want it bad enough you are ready for a committed change. I'm taking the slow approach to weight loss which has worked for me before and giving myself until end of the year to lose 20-25lbs. I'm using the basic scientific CICO math which allows me to still enjoy things like a Popeyes chicken, snickers ice cream bar , chocolate chip yogurt muffin, French baguette, yogurt, my fav Gouda cheese etc along with healthy choices and still lose the weight. I'm taking things one day at a time. 😊12

I'm going to have to start using a smaller tea mug and drinking less tea in the mornings; suddenly I realize I've shrunk my stomach enough that 40 ounces of hot tea plus 20 ounces of water is too much over the course of an hour first thing in the morning. NOT something I was expecting.12

I had my first 15,000+ step day last week. Felt great to be that active again.19

A very small victory but this fat boy did his first 1 mile walk in years today....
Okay, it was in my workshop, walking along to a Leslie Sansone video. My reasoning here is that I have arthritic knees and an artificial hip so if anything decides to give up then I am at home when it does....41 -
I looked in the mirror this morning and realized that I'm starting to like how my body looks. I have a little way to go but it's definitely looking better to me!29

I ate what I wanted at a family get together, including some chips and Texas sheet cake, went way over my calories, logged it all, and am back to normal today. In the past this would have sent me spiraling out of control.34

Started using an old Gazelle that I got from my uncle (years ago) just a few weeks ago. Yesterday I went 80 minutes and burnt almost a 1000 calories on it. Both were personnel best.
I tried the device a few times when I got it and just didn't care for how it felt. However now that I was forced to try it due to the pandemic I love it!
The Gazelle, not the pandemic.
In just a few short weeks I've lost a few inches around the waist, a few pounds, and have toned up in my arms and legs.
Wishing I had forced myself to try the machine more when I first got it.16 -
I wore a sleeveless dress yesterday and noticed my upper arms don't really squish "out" like they used to when they rest against my torso. Now they kind of stay the same size, and look much slimmer. I still do the "hand on hip" pose by force of habit, though, lol.19

1. I spent all day Friday hitching my leggings back up over my butt.
2. The only time I looked better in a bathing suit is when I was a meth addict!

I went to a restaurant for lunch with my husband today, and decided on what to get based on the calorie counts printed on the menu. I love it when restaurants do that! I used a strategy that I’ve seen suggested -order from the appetizers section and I also got a side of grilled veggies. It was yummy and I left satiated.
When I looked at the calorie counts on what I use to order, they were more than my calorie allotment for the whole day!20 -

I'm willing to bet you look much better now. Keep up the good work, you got this!16 -
I deadlifted 315 for 3 and 365 for 1!20
