08/25 196.6 I'm up a whole pound from yesterday. Fluctuations I suppose ๐คทโโ๏ธ Have a good day all!
08/26 194.8 Woosh! I think I was holding onto some water for a few days.
08/27 193.4 My goal for today is to get better with water intake. I've been slacking a little. I'm still not drinking soda though!
08/28 193.4 I did great with water yesterday. On track to do pretty good today as well. Happy Friday! Hope you all have a great weekend.
08/29 193.6 I haven't been making great food choices the last few days but I haven't gone over my calories. Lots and lots of carbs though. My feet are swollen and feel like they're going to bust open. I'm guessing because my overkill of carbs?? So today my goal is watch my macros as much as my calories.

08/25 / 146.6 / Going to focus on 100% accurate logging today.
08/26 / 146.2
08/27 / 146.6/ well that sucks. But didnโt weigh dinner portion of stir fry last night. Need to be more accurate with each entry.
08/28 / 146.2 / Guess my body really likes that .4 lbs I keep going back and forth on. Going to keep logging and see if I can break out of this.
08/29 /145.2 / thatโs a surprise. Hope the downward trend stays with consistency. Going to try to stay on track during the weekend.

08/29 - 153.4 - Not unexpected. Dinner out due to a sudden change in plans and it was very carby. Also cheesy so that induced bloating due to my sensitivity to lactose. Also a couple beers over the day instead of my usual 1 with dinner. Missed my 64oz water goal by about 7oz. All good, as long as I can overcome it through the remainder of the weekend.

Previous Day's Comments08/25 - Quite alright. Starting off with a sodium bump. BF made dinner last night and apparently the flow restriction top of the worcestershire sauce came off while he was adding it, only to dump a bit too much in there and could taste the extra saltiness of it. Focusing on water today, again, and finding activity to get moving. Didn't sleep well at all, though my fitbit says I had the best sleep in a long while. Obviously false as it read I was in "REM" but I definitely looked at the time and was awake during that period. Hoping I can wake up fully and enough to not be lazy and dragging all day.
08/26 - Little tick down. Dinner was a bit heavy, taco bell recreations. Surprised I dropped any at all. Water wasn't too great and no activity. Work got really crazy and I have a feeling work is going to get crazy again today but I have a workout date with Fam this morning to offset the madness.
08/27 - Yay, another drop and now at goal weight for the round -- challenge is to keep it at or under this. Today is my Friday since I don't work Fridays and therefore a nice long weekend to screw things up if I'm not careful/diligent. I ALMOST reached my goal for water but also gave myself a bit of a stomach ache with all the water I was drinking after a very filling dinner. Plus, I didn't want to have to wake up and use the bathroom. I have issues with insomnia enough without bodily functions adding to it. Goal is to get a walk in today.
08/28 - Whoosh! That was entirely unexpected, especially since I went back for seconds on the homemade chicken tikka marsala at dinner. First round was with some basmati rice, second was toned down with just the chicken in sauce/gravy. But, as usual with Indian food, I figured I'd gain. Guess it wasn't as calorie-laden as I thought(I looked up various recipes for it online and averaged them for dinner)? My estimated calories were barely under goal and I didn't end up getting the walk in I wanted due to work being hectic so I'm really surprised. Just barely hit my goal of 4 water bottles (16.4oz steel bottle - Save the Earth!) but I need to find a way to sneak in an extra 10oz to hit my rounded half-body weight in oz goal. Just happy I was able to get the 4 bottles in finally [insert happy dance]! Let's see if I can get through the weekend and maintain. Back on my IF attempt (its so hard to do on weekends and today is part of my weekend).

08/25 - 192.3 First time I've weighed myself in a while. I've been having a really hard time getting back on it. I got really sick at the beginning of the year and lost 20lbs within a month. I was on steroids and just got off them a month ago! My appetite is finally getting back to normal and I feel strong enough to lose again!:D Monday CI 1518 CO 2828
08/26 -188.2 Woohoo! And there's the water. Might gain a little tomorrow as I didn't eat much yesterday. Tuesday CI 261 (I know, I had a very stressful day) CO 2537
08/27 -188.9 That's what I thought lol. Stayed well within my calories yesterday and exercised so I'm not worried. Wednesday CI 1274 CO 3002
08/28 - 188.5 Going camping for the night on Saturday so I'm going to be really good before and after that. My Fitbit always trips out when we go offroading though so stats aren't going to be correct. There will be a lot of beer and sausages going on lol. Thursday CI 1235 CO 2782
08/29 185.6 Whoa! Wasn't expecting that but maybe it's the TOM water going away. Not sure if I trust it lol. Won't be weighing in tomorrow as I'm going camping so guess we'll see on Monday!

8/25: 227.6 (+0.4)/19.3 (0.0). Alright. I need to get this under control. I talked with my wife last night and asked that she stop accepting "outside food," particularly from her family. My sister-in-law visited on Sunday, and my in-laws sent chile rellenos with her. She also brought banana bread that she made from scratch. I love my wife's family, but them inundating me with food just throws me off. It's like they communicate love with food. I drew my line in the sand with my; I NEED to be in control of MY food. When I'm not in control of my food, something happens inside of me. I have been REALLY disciplined since I've been back, and I have been REALLY happy with the progress I have made in such a short time. But when I feel "forced" to do something different, particularly when it's multiple times in a week, it sends me down the road of "losing my mojo." I'm not going to let that happen; if that means me throwing away food that we have been "given," so be it. My health has to be more important than whether or not I eat something that someone gives to me unannounced. I guess what I'm getting at is that it would be easier for me if "people" were just told that I am really focusing on my health right now, and that I do NOT want ANYONE to give me ANYTHING. I COULD do that... but my wife doesn't want me to (for various reasons... mostly worried that she's going to hurt someone else's feelings). She would need to be the person that communicates this information to her family, but she's either reluctant or unwilling to do so. I have got to figure this out, because I like what's happening with me since I returned to this group. I want to continue my good habits. I'm going to go home tonight and do strength training; my body is still a little sore from what I did a few days ago, but I am going to "suck it up" and work through it tonight.
8/26: 226.4 (-1.2)/19.2 (-0.1). It feels really good to be back on the right track. I snacked a little bit too much last night (healthy snacks, though), but I generally had a pretty good day. My back is hurting a little bit, but I'm still going to try to do strength training today (I was still too sore yesterday); I'll just take it easy. My brother-in-law and his girlfriend are coming over to watch the Laker game tonight. I will NOT be having alcohol. I need to talk with my wife about food, and what we're planning in that regard. BEFORE they get here.
8/27: 226.0 (-0.4)/19.2 (0.0). It's amazing how long it takes to completely shake a bad habit, even one that only recently developed. As I say this, I have to acknowledge that my previous sentence is nonsense. Since July 18th, I have worked really hard to eliminate some long-term bad habits (particularly in the evening-snack department) that have made keeping a decent waistline absolute hell. What I have been experiencing in the past few days is not some brand-new bad habit; it's a resurgence of something that is all-too-familiar. I think it's important that I remember that. I also need to keep in mind that I am in no way giving up, and I am making progress. I still haven't worked out since earlier this week; my back was really hurting yesterday. That being said, I'm going to give it another shot today. Wish me luck!
8/28: 226.2 (+0.2)/19.2 (0.0). Cashews. Must stop eating cashews. At least I need to weigh something out and LEAVE IT AT THAT. I have a problem. It's not just sweets. Trying to squeeze in a post during a REALLY busy day. Sorry it's so short.
8/29: 224.8 (-1.4)/19.1 (-0.1). I finally got a bit of a handle on snacking yesterday. For some reason, when it's cashews, I just inhale them. It goes so fast. I had a few cashews yesterday (six I think), but I found something else to snack on that I was able to control a bit better. Despite my previous setback(s), I still think I'm doing great. I am WAY into seeing my trendline, but I still really like seeing a good weigh-in. This morning was satisfying. I'm 0.2 away from my recent low. THAT being said, my brother-in-law and his girlfriend are coming over today, and my parents are coming over tomorrow, so it's going to take some serious planning to get out of this weekend anywhere near the weight I have today. Honestly, if I'm at 226.0 on Monday morning, I'll consider the weekend a pretty rousing success. I'm going to lift weights this morning, and I'll do some rowing machine tomorrow morning. That should offset some of the badness I'll be doing to myself this weekend.

Round 124
My Round 2!
Jillian Age 34 and 5'1"
HSW: 179.8
CSW: 176.4
GW: 130
RGW: 173 and increase exercise session length
Round 1: 179.8 to 176.4 (-3.4)
๐ 08/25:174.6 So far so good! I didn't expect things to go so well so quickly. I am happy. I am staying within my calorie limits and it seems like 1400 is just fine along with lots of water. I am playing Ring Fit Adventure everyday. It is very fun. Even though the actual exercises are in short bursts, they are intense enough to give me a good workout. However, I am so sore today that it will be difficult to make myself workout tonight.
๐ 08/26:174.4 My weight is essentially the same, but today is a different sort of victory because I finally lost whatever water weight made me lose drastically in the first few days. I had 5 pounds of it! The other success is that starting all of this daily exercise is making me feel really great. My energy is up and I am enjoying life. I stayed within calorie limits as well and tried to drink more water. My exercise for yesterday was Just Dance 2020 on the Switch. I danced for 50 minutes, which estimated my calories burned at 311.61, but I am a wild dancer, so I suspect it was more. ๐
๐ 08/27:174.4 I am staying steady, so I won't let myself get discouraged. I know I should be losing based on my activity and calorie intake, but I know it will come off over time. I just need to be patient! I played Ring Fit Adventure yesterday. Today, I am going to play Just Dance 2020 for an hour. I am also going to download a free Jump Rope game on the Switch and try to add that to my mornings starting tomorrow. Right now, just getting into habits are key.
๐ 08/28:175.8 Even though I stayed below my calorie limit and exercised, I had consumed a massive amount of sodium due to a combination of tortilla soup and ramen. Lmao. This was definitely water weight. I will keep a closer eye on my sodium intake from now on.
๐ 08/29:174.0 I didn't make it to any exercise yesterday, but stayed below both my calorie count and my sodium count. Today, I will play my fitness games on my switch.

08/25 - 144.5
08/26 - 145 - Calories have been good, so I'm hoping this is just some water retention.
08/27 - 144.5 - OK, I'm trending lower this week.
08/28 - 145.5 - Sigh. I've tracked my food all week and stayed within weight loss calories. I did start a cardio routine this week, so I'm hoping this is some DOMS. Also, I've been eating watermelon which, although low in calories, is high in sugar and carbs. I have a patio birthday party for my daughter on Sunday and my husband is making meatball subs for supper tonight, so I'm going to have to really watch what I eat the rest of the weekend along with drinking ALL the water.
08/29 - 144.5 - I did not want to weigh this morning. I woke up with swollen fingers from the sodium last night. I was so surprised when I saw my weight I checked again on my other scale. The watermelon and meatballs are all gone now and I'll just plan for a cupcake at my daughter's party tomorrow.

Day/Weight/Comment
08/25 - 310.3 - One of the pleasant things about the new job is walking almost twice as much. My steps almost doubled for the week (per my Fitbit notification). Down 3.6 for the week and 8 lbs. over 2 weeks. One of those fun things that happen when you drop lots of weight... a adjustable web belt that barely fit now has to be cut since there is an excess. Maybe it's body dysmorphia, but while this is happening, I don't see it. But the fit of my clothes and fitness ability to do simple tasks that have been a struggle, those are the things that are a hammer hitting me over the head, saying *yeah, you're getting smaller*.
08/26 - 309.7 - Mondays are worst for weigh-ins. By Wednesday, I'm usually heading in a good direction. My best is Saturday before I start eating. By then, I've had 3 42-hour fasts leading into eating at noon on Sat.
08/27 - 306.9 - Nice drop. After missing last round's goal, I went conservative... and already made it. This also puts me at the 95+ lbs. mark. So close. So tantalizing. And a broke scale. One of the footies just broke and I don't think it can be fixed. Aargh! New scale time. Down 4.3 for the week and 9.3 over two weeks.
08/28 - 307.2 - Standard small uptick on a weekday eat. Still on target for a nice drop for tomorrow.
08/29 - 305.7 - Nice drop. Down 4 lbs. from last Saturday and 6.7 over two weeks. My biggest fear from this weigh loss is starting to take hold... I'm seeing a little excess skin around the edges (thighs and upper arms). My plan was to slow down a bit once I got under 300 lbs. and really focus on weight training and jumping rope. I guess that might start (a little bit) earlier than expected.

Hi friends, so glad this thread is always here when I can get my act together.
Goals this round, to lose 1 pound.
Day/Weight/Comment
08/25 193.4 estimated total calories: 1505
08/26 193.4 I have to take a break from running due to stupid plantar faciitis which is super depressing. BUT I'm doing a 30 day no alcohol challenge and I'm interested to see if that makes it easier to lose. So far I miss my glass of wine while cooking but some days are easier than others. I am going to try to get back into lifting at the gym since I can't run, I tried the elliptical on Monday but foot hurt for two days after so probably gonna give that one some more time still. Calorie goal: 1400
08/27 194.0 well the scale was up today, but my BF % was down so that means there's a little water weight hanging around . I'm still on a downward trend and getting ready for TOM so a momentary blip is expected. Still sleeping in the dreaded night splint, I had less foot pain today so maybe I can hit the gym tomorrow and avoid a flare up. Calories were over yesterday by 400 due to chocolate snack after dinner, did I mention TOM? Upping the water today.
08/28 193.2 drinking my water, still giving my foot a break from any stress. I don't have a plan for dinner tonight which isn't good, bc that means I want to stand in the pantry and eat snack (not helpful, I know! ) better come up with one before I get too hungry!
08/29 192.4 I felt very happy to see this number on the scale after many days higher. Let's hope it sticks around and isn't destroyed by my salty lunch today, bc I'm on track to stay around 1200 calories - missed breakfast (accidentally), split chicken fajitas with a friend and brought leftovers home for the hubs, and just a little yogurt with fruit for dinner.

Goal for this round is to stay focused for the whole 10 days, stick to what I know, and hopefully see the numbers drop!
08/25 - 79.1kg, I've started CICO again since Sunday and feeling good!
08/26 - 78.5kg, I'm seeing a lot of dropping very quickly but I feel like it'll creep up a little or plateau very soon. Likely losing a lot of water weight but it feels good regardless!
08/27 - 78.4kg, happy to still see a decrease. I've been sticking to my calorie limits but probably not drinking as much water as I should
08/28 - 78.5kg, as expected the initial water weight probably fell off and now balancing out. Staying strong!
08/29 - didn't weigh as I had a night away from home. Didn't count calories on 28th or today
08/30 - 79.4, didn't count Friday/Saturday so I'm not surprised, also low water intake and a bit of alcohol so everything is out of whack. Back to it today, hopefully see a better number tomorrow

Round #122 < 3.8lbs
Round #123 < 3.4lbs
When you get this uncomfortable in your skin AND your clothes, you know you need a little extra accountability, and this forum is helping, tremendously!
Been making myself go for walks (or do workout videos) when my hurtin' body would rather say "No." Because my BMR is so low, I've been really cognizant of what is going in my mouth (and I'm not putting something in there-out of sheer boredom!) I've decided that I really don't enjoy exercising all that much! But, I've seen so much improvement in how my clothes fit over the past 15 days, that I'm NOT giving up now! Super excited to be getting back into my "real" wardrobe, after an umpteen year hiatus...

Looking forward:
I'm just too danged cussed to let this thing knock me back, and ruin all the effort I have put in to get here. I am stepping up my routine, and taking control. Sheltering in place means I can fully concentrate on getting in my exercise, and preparing healthy food.
August focus: improving stamina, strength, flexibility, which may impact the scale
Aims:
2020 Focus:Never give up! Never give in!- Stabilise weight around 145
- Strengthen strategies to reframe the tendency to use unhealthy snack food as a reward/treat.
- Make sure I have prepared healthy snacks available
- Cut down on eating between meals by keeping busy
Recent Back Story:2018 goal: get back down to 160 โJGM10D ~|~ Round 124 ๐นPosting weight and comments each evening.
2019 goal: proceed down to 150 โ with 2 months to spare
2020 goal: maintain below 150 dropping slowly down to 145 โ Working on it. Strength training has slowed progress, but thatโs okay.
That's a WIN in my book!
2020
Focus: maintenance! I might even manage to lose a bit more ever so slowly.

THERE ARE NO QUICK FIXES OR SHORTCUTS to achieving permanent change.
REMINDERS One or two thoughts which might give heart to some of you.- Daily weight fluctuations are normal, and can be as much as 2 lbs a day for no apparent reason.
- A general downward trend is what we are looking for.
- Eating out can cause apparent weight gain because of high sodium levels, but usually goes quickly. Drinking extra water helps with this.
- The human body does not react instantly to what we do to it. Sometimes it can take several days to see results.
- Plateaus are a normal part of the process. The body is consolidating and adapting to your new way of eating/exercising.
- The closer you get to your goal weight, the more difficult it becomes to lose weight, as your body becomes more efficient at using what you feed it.
- When you exercise you build muscle, which takes up less space than fat, so use measurements as well as weight to assess your progress.
- Getting/Staying fit and healthy requires a lifestyle change for most people.

I'm in! Thank you, @GrandmaJackie!
70 year old female...5'5" ...I used to be 5'7" but arthritis hit and I lost two inches, so now that two inches is squished around my waist like the billows of a big accordion... ...Oh, well. I'll just keep working on it.
We used to walk 5 miles a day. Recovered from back surgery then hip surgery!! Got back to walking then I sprained my ankle. UGH! hurt! I was down for 6 weeks with the ankle.
The Shelter in Place has everyone freaked. We need to remain calm and respectful of each other.
