I got dressed today by picking out what I wanted to wear not by just whatever fit. This is HUGE.39

My thighs are a bit more defined. Still plenty of work to go but I can feel muscle definition that 20 lbs lighter I have never felt before. Maybe that's why I am angry at my scale....muscle gain18

i was using 10lb weights for only a little bit of work out. even after being out i have been able to use 10 lb for more of work out.11

My bum is shrinking!!!!!
I can fit into my hiking shorts and jeans and they do up and I don’t look stuffed in18 -
My skinny jeans are fitting miles better! There are only 2 kg (ca. 4 1/2 lbs) between these pictures but I can see and feel a difference.

I’m down 25 pounds and while I still have a way to go my knees can touch when I stand up and my lower legs are straightening back out (previously knock kneed from extra weight). I can easily cross my legs at the knee and not be uncomfortable or have my top leg slip down. These have all been slowly changing but I’ve just noticed them al this week.22

There's a gap in the fence surrounding the park my family and I always walk to. Everyone can take the shortcut into the park through that gap... everyone except me, that is. I couldn't do it, not even close. So I always took the long way around.
A few days ago, my husband suggested I try the gap. I shrugged, but to my shock - voila! I could fit through the gap! With a tiny bit of room to spare! It was so exciting! It never even dawned on me to try.
For reference, I've lost about 50lbs during the quarantine/pandemic.62 -

This is so sweet to me. Do you think your hubby notices more of your changes than you do?13 -
Even when I don't feel like working out, I am reminding myself that a run can be as long and as I fast as I want it. Just hitting the pavement is a victory on its own. No need to run hard, just enjoy the outdoors time and your podcast. And still, my "I don't wanna" 5k time is sub 6min/km. This would have just been impossible 6 months ago.
I am beyond grateful to my body and the effortless way it reacts to the, pretty effort-intensive, changes I have made. Thank you for the win body, we might get a cupcake

I had a full weekend of drinking and eating poorly but instead of continuing that into the week, like I normally would have, I got right back on track!33

I just signed up for my first half-marathon! I'm really nervous, but I ran 10 miles 4 separate times in August, so I figured that I'm capable, but perhaps just scared that 13 seems like a lot more than 10. I have a month to finish up my training... Let's do this!26

Garmin has a 300k steps per month challenge badge. For September (@30days) that means 10K steps per day on average, which is my normal minimum. Easy to bag badge for me, but I like a challenge too. So what to do?
I upped the challenge for myself: Get the badge in half the time (15 days). This means 20K steps per day on average. Today I achieved that goal and the badge.
Note that that is an average my lowest day was 10.314 steps my highest 31.12424 -
The weather forecast was nice so I took the day off work and went for a ride.

This past weekend I was hiking with friends, one of whom I haven't seen for two months. As I was changing into my hiking shirt, he looked at me and said, "Kim! You're looking really fit right now!" to which I could honestly respond, "I'm FEELING really fit right now." Sometimes, the changes seem so gradual that it's hard to really see them yourself, so that reflection was a really nice boost. 10lbs down and 5% more muscle than I've had in years is really starting to show up.
Extra bonus: I was also able to keep up with him on most of the hike, which is something I've never been able to do!19 -

My best friend lost her weight about 15 years ago and has been nudging me into doing the same ever since. On one visit to her house, she gave me some hand me downs that I "might fit into" someday. I put them at the back of my closet and didn't think anything more about them. Came across the bag at my mother's a couple of weeks ago and took it home. Put a pretty one sleeved top on that I remembered BFF having on in pictures. And it fit perfectly! I wore it for my mother's birthday dinner and sent BFF a picture. Her response? Holy kitten, that shirt wasn't from her weight loss journey; it was from only 5-6 years ago when she'd finished the weight loss and had been maintaining!! We both cried!36

Wearing my "skinny suit" to work today! I've finally lost enough weight to wear my suits from my thinner weight a few years ago. Everyone is asking me what time my interview is today...31

Thanks! Yes, he definitely notices the way I look (and feel when he holds me) and points out cool things that I don't even think about. He noticed my fingers are way thinner, my clothes are baggy, my cheekbones can cut the air they're so sharp now! Honestly, I've been SO excited about my NSVs - perfect BP, normal blood glucose, biking and walking and hiking so much longer and just feeling awesome every day - that I haven't noticed the weight aspect as much as I thought I would. Go figure.

I broke my personal record for my stairs time this week. 1,440 up and down in 26:30.24

Wearing a 90% backless top and being fine enough at this point to wear it in public 😱31

My jeans are getting too big so I went shopping (at the only store I know of around here that will let you use the fitting rooms - Old Navy) and I bought my first ever pair of Skinny Jeans (I'm a 50 y.o.) They're black, size 16, and my new best friend! 😍 I also bought a leopard print shirt to go with them and I've got to say...I am getting there!33

I had to cinch my belt one notch tighter today.31

I've been on holiday and doing some hikes with my BF in the Alps. I've been able to complete every single hike within the estimated time given in the official guides, including those with steep inclines.
45lbs ago, I needed at least twice the time estimated.
Not to mention I'm doing hikes now that I wasn't even capable of before (unless 10+ years ago): 500m (1600ft) elevation difference with only a few breaks going up and only slightly painful feet and legs after the descent.
Another one to add to this: my BF complained I was walking too fast
It was 'only' on a level path and he could keep up (he's 6ft3, I'm 5ft5, I'll never outrun/outwalk him, lol), but he felt he was sweating too much at that pace, around 5.5kph. Whereas I just wanted to get out of the scorching sun into the woods for shade, so I was in a hurry. First time ever that he's told me I'm walking too quickly, lol.26 -
My old wristwatch (metal links) fits again! Went to get a new battery for it today. I also got a new leather strap for my other watch, and in the new strap I’ll need to use the innermost notch to start..!
I also brought new bras in a non specialty store and one of them was without an underwire. Current size - 85F, still plenty of room for reduction.15 -
My neighbor didn’t recognize me! 😂21

I ran out of belt loops 😆47 -
I finally got my running intervals to equal the distance of a 5k! 1.75mi, .75mi, and finally .6mi, with a .25mi walk in between to give my legs a break. Did some walking before/after for a total of 6 miles. Next goal is going to be to get to a 5k with no walking breaks.21

So Girlfriend spends most of her time in her room. This is fine, but it makes it hard to clean. So since she isn't home today (May come home tomorrow, maybe Sunday) I took everything out of her room, and swept and polished and scrubbed and dusted and new sheets on the bed and all.
I'm sore around the lower back and rear, from lifting stubborn things. But I'm not exhausted. And I bet the soreness will be gone if I sit down and have dinner. THAT's a nice change.22 -
I got home tonight and fancied something to eat, not hungry, just felt like eating something....
Well instead of the tempting chocolate biscuits I grabbed a tomato to munch on.....Darn nice it was too.24
