Today got insanely stressful and busy at dinner time and for some reason (ha!) I just couldn't face making hot and sour soup from scratch and filling and frying crab rangoons before I could eat. But I keep the makings of a safe meal in the house, and so I had that and was able to even let myself have a before-bed treat to indulge my carb craving, which helps me with the stress.

Whoa, that's a great idea - a "safe" backup meal. What a great strategy - good for you!

I'm not exactly sure what NSV means but, from the comments, I'm thinking it's an achievement. My most recent achievement is being able to walk 3 miles without sitting down for a break!

@soykk1995: Good for you! NSV = non-scale victory, and that is definitely one.
