Looking for a few accountability partners to join me in a Sober October, an annual tradition, to kick off my healthy diet re-launch and get up and running towards my goal of dropping 25 Lbs
Feel free to join in the fun or just root for me along the way 🥳

Rooting for you!
Back in the 90's, I changed my relationship with alcohol with a few Smart Recovery and Rational Recovery meetings. I can now drink moderately, which for me is really barely at all - I think I've had 2.5 drinks this year.
When I drink, I eat more, and my sleep is disrupted, so the next day I eat more as well. Just a terrible combo for me when I'm trying to lose weight.12 -
Yeah my relationship with alcohol has been a challenging one but as health becomes a bigger priority for me once again, it’s easier to make better decisions. Thanks for the insight and support!8

That's me every month! Well, I drink 0% beer, does that count2

I had a Sober September and let me tell you, it was tough!!! But I'm thinking about a Sober October too! No weight to lose but I like the challenge aspect of making myself suffer a little bit, I guess. Regardless of whether I partipate or not, I'll be happy to cheer you on!!!9

Was two years and counting as of August this year so I guess I’ll join for the month of October as well. I basically started on a whim and it was only supposed to be temporary but I’ve loved the long term benefits so much I have kept it up. Didn’t even have a drink on my wedding day this year (we served alcohol to our 15 guests though (was supposed to be 100 but you know some things happened).10

Great idea. I feel so much better and less bloated when I don't drink. I challenge myself to no booze on random weeks. Not sure I could do an entire month especially with our Thanksgiving in there....but what a fun challenge4

I am here to cheer you on. Good luck.3

A little accountability and support and I’m sure you could do a month or even longer! Small progress is still progress- that’s all that matters👏

Right on! If there is no struggle, there is no progress 🥳

I was doing really well, but the stress of quarantine got me back to the nightly wine routine. I'm down for Sober October.5

One of my greatest reliefs is that I do not drink alcohol any more and haven't for over 10 years, so not something I have to cope with giving up.
Not adverse to the odd glass of wine at a function but routinely I got fed up with having a drink meaning I just ended up sitting and watching the telly, feeling a bit sleepy, so got nothing done.
My life is hugely better for it, my only demons now being chocolate and cheese.4 -
Well, I’m out. I went to a wedding in Tampa...6

Made it through the weekend, albeit plenty of temptations made it quite challenging. One day at a time 😎6

Thirty six consecutive alcohol free days but I'm going camping over the weekend and I don't foresee Sober October existing for me after that point... I just want to be honest. Big hugs to all of you lovely people hanging in there 💗...5

Traveling in Poland for work now and it’s TOUGH given the amazing food, beer, and vodka out here, but I’m holding my own and staying strong 💪 keep it up everyone!4
