👀 chatty lot for a bunch of introverts :D

We can be pretty chatty when talking about how unchatty we are

That, and it is easier to come out of your shell when you know there is another shell outside of that (ie. The phone or computer and a firewall and a shield of anonymity)

🤗 Morning Nadine.. how ya doing?

🤗 Hi Jo! I'm good. I have never been so productive in my whole life. Fantastic!

How are you doing these days? Back to yourself I hope

Glad you're enjoying isolation lol 😄

I'm ok, back to normal.. well, as normal as can be 😃

Take all that chatter outside 🤫😛😅

    Or what? 😁😛

    Or else!

Didn't you see Clint Eastwood a few posts back?!?

I am so happy in quarantine! I want this to last forever! My dojo has been doing live Facebook video classes and my Wednesday quiz night is now on Tuesday and Friday, also on Facebook live video. It is perfect for me. I haven't been so relaxed in forever

Quarantine? What quarantine? 😂 it hasn’t bothered me one bit.

I just figured everyone else had finally come around and seen the wisdom of being an introvert, and decided to try it out for a few weeks.. Did something happen?? :grey_question:

You know it’s getting bad when even the introverts start wanting to be social.

I wonder if we should analyze this statement to see what it was exactly that killed this thread. Maybe we should ask the guy who mysteriously knows what others are afraid to say ... his mind-reading abilities are just the thing to crack this case.
  • Introvert checking in! Nice to see all my fellow intros. Feel free to add me. Positive vibes and personal space to you all. 😉

I crave the attention of other introverts. We would have fun and everyone would know when to quit and go home. "Hi, great to see you. Oh you've had enough, great, see you later."

@jamloche Blessings to you for finding this thread and reviving it!

@J_NY_Z You're afflicted with introversion too!? I'd have never guessed.

@slimgirljo15 Your tenacity in this thread? Fetching! Keep bringing us out of our shell, but, like...slow like lol

I am. I can speak up and speak out here. But get me in front of people for small talk and I fold. I'm always afraid that nobody is interested in what I have to say. And women, forget it. There's no hope there.

Exactly!! Also no one would feel offended or weird when the convo dies down of awkwardness 😅

When I was teenager, I always looked at being an introvert as something that needed to be fixed. I thought it meant shy and fearful, and if I just practiced I could get past it. Back then, I made a study of the people around me, paying close attention to the extroverts that were so engaged in the world around them. They made it seem so easy to yammer on and on about nothing. I don't see it like that anymore. This is just who I am.

I personally believe that most people are introverts to some degree or another. In fact, true extroverts ... the shiny kind that are just naturally the center of attention ... are rare and magnificent creatures.

I think many comedians and actors are like that. I knew a couple, he claimed he was an extrovert and she claimed she was an introvert but it was exactly the opposite. Everyone else could see it but they repeated that narrative so long they believed it. Somesayers say most of us become more introverted with age and that our personality types really aren't set in stone. Some say ambiverts are rare but I don't think so. B)

Wisdom comes with experience, but I think it also requires a certain amount of introspection ... so it only seems natural that we would face more inward as we get older. Maybe it's not our personality-type changing, but just that we are getting better at being ourselves.

Just an observation. I watched a party on tv and they were all networking with one another. Most of it looked like a bunch of imaginary happy horsesheet but nonetheless, that's what they were doing. I leaned in for a closer look, all of them breathing into each other's face, blathering on about absolutely nothing but it seemed they were getting high on it and each other. I wondered if they were just working themselves up into this frenzy because the cameras were rolling but searched for the deeper meaning.

It's kind of like the Dance of the Sage Grouse.

I think I'm an INTP, typical nerd. With the lockdown I've realized that I do need _some_ social interaction, maybe not a pure I?

On that scale, I'm an ENFP but I don't let anyone pigeonhole me.
