I have a set of draws that I think of as the draws of shame... it's full of clothes I am too big for. A lot of them brand new because my mum would buy me clothes for Christmas but they would always be too small and I would stick them in the draws of shame.
Anyway, I have been on a really good run this last month and tonight at 1.10 am I decided to go look in the draws of shame...
I realized I can fit most of the clothes now, and they stuff I can't fit I will be able to in a few weeks or months... Brand new clothes! Trousers, shorts, jeans, swimming togs, and work shirts. I always have hardly any clothes because it's hard to shop for stuff my size. Also, I can fit my old kickboxing t-shirts from 6 years ago, which are still in fairly good condition. (because they never really fit well.)
Strangely the pants all seem to fit better but the tops not quite as good.
Also if anyone wants to add a new friend for accountability feel free to add me, I have been logging everyday for the last month and I am keen to add new people.22 -
Calf muscles from mountain bike every day for 5 months. Just hit 3000 miles from the middle of May. There wasn’t much of a calf muscle before I started in all my life so it’s nice to see hard work pays off, not only in aesthetics but my conditioning is unlike it’s ever been.not bad for age 55.

I am walking to various places that I would have driven to in the past to run errands. These walks are in addition to my regular exercise. My legs no longer hurt after a wallk!24

Today is my parents'wedding anniversary and we just cut a cake(we've been avoiding outside food ever since the start of this pandemic). I usually pounce on chocolate cakes but it felt too sweet!🤢 Like I got a headache after one bite. I didn't go for second helping! One positive thing out of this pandemic is that I am not enjoying desserts like I used to.🙅🤷20

I moved up my weights for basically all my strength training. 25lb RDL's!18

I've been at a healthy weight long enough that some of my small clothes are wearing out (literally, not just getting boring or out of day - they're frayed, holes developing). I hate to shop, but this still feels like an NSV.39

I’ve sized down in sport bras and the new ones (size L) look so small..! But they fit great.
I also shaved another 45 seconds off my 5K time. I don’t really have a speed goal right now (focusing on maintaining mileage and routine over winter), but getting closer to 6 min/km is always welcome (today was 6:36).21 -

Good for you! I can now do up my sports bras on the tightest hooks. I am really hoping I don't lose much more in that area as this summer I invested in a whole lot of new ones (and sports kit) so I could have clean kit for my workout every other day! This weight loss could prove rather expensive...8 -
I walked 500 steps with outstopping. I've increased my daily steps by 2000steps.42

My regular jeans (32r from the Gap) keep sliding down and don’t actually need to be unbuttoned anymore. I only started wearing them in august....
The smallest pair of jeans I own (size 42 EU, size 12 US I think) now fit fine, and I should probably start thrifting the next size down.
I’m actually within 5 kg of a healthy BMI and 9 kg to my goal weight, and I kind of hope I won’t drop more than 1 more size in the near future...17 -
My girlfriend and I can both work in the U-shaped kitchen without bumping hips. I said, "I always thought this was a one-butt kitchen!" and she said, "Well, maybe it just needs smaller butts!"15

3 months ago I bought a new belt. I used the middle notch when I bought it. It seemed like a good bet, two notches bigger or smaller.
Well, It's too big now...smallest notch only works on my fat guy jeans because there is so much loose material.20 -
Just passed 250 k on my stationary bike. Tomorrow, I start work on the next 250!16

Yesterday, for the first time in 8 months, I walked around the neighborhood. Was dismayed and disappointed by the number of younger adults still not wearing masks in public, but whenever they appeared, I just walked into the street, stood on the drivers side of a parked vehicle and waited for them to pass me 12 feet away. I had SARS-CoV-2 early on, in FEB. Damned near killed me, and my gastrointestinal tract hasn't been the same since. But I suited up with my 6-ply heavy-duty mask and risked walking for the sake of my physical and mental health anyway, and spent 45 minutes outside. Hope to make a daily habit of it.38

My waist is smaller than my bust and hips for the first time since I had a child in 1995.30

I haven’t worn a watch much during WFH but needed one on today.
My preferred watch has metal links so is a set size, it was actually been too small for me until about august this year. Today I put it on and when I raised my arm it slid almost halfway to my elbow 🤦♀️ I’ll wait until goal until I get it resized since I don’t have to be wearing it.
I put on my other watch with a leather strap instead. Apparently I’m on the innermost notch.
Somewhat related I can just about close my thumb and first finger around my wrist now.17 -
For the second week in a row, I've hit my Fitbit goal of 5 days of exercise per week! I've just been walking around my neighborhood but I find myself having to take fewer breaks.28

Been sleeping 8-10.5 hours a night for a week and loving it!29

I have trouble getting my heart rate up when I walk - even when I do hills and steps. I’m having to really crank up the intensity to get the effect of just walking on a flat surface when I was at my heaviest weight.19

I had to do mandatory saturday at work yesterday and they brought in donuts. In the past, I usually couldnt wait for my break time to go eat a couple. I would think about it every minute, mouth watering. Lol. Well, yesterday, they announced donuts are here and I just went on with my business, not caring about donuts at all and just went outside during my break.46

After football watching, and before dark, I was going to take a walk. Had been eating pizza, and chips, etc. so this was definitely a high calorie event. The weather was a bit cool, but calm. My husband wanted to join me, and we invited our adult son. All of us walked for the better part of an hour!!33

A little background: I grew up as a candy freak. My sweet tooth was always massive and I pretty much ate it any chance I got, and always to excess. My dental visits were nightmares, and I loved everything carb. Halloween was my favorite holiday and I used to plan out ways of getting maximum candy during trick or treating.
With all that said, I've spent the last 294 days eating minimal sugar, except for two holidays in there, and having my main sugar source be fruit. A square or two of dark chocolate sometimes after dinner, and occasional sugar free sweets also, like protein bars. That's still tiny compared to what I used to do and it's been reflected on the scale.
Today I went to the grocery store. I was intending to have a small, one serving size bag of candy corn as a treat and fit it into my calories. I'd thought about it several times before I went to the store. However, when I got there I only halfheartedly remembered to find it, and when it wasn't in the expected place I promptly forgot about it in my quest for chicken breast! No regrets, no sadness over having forgotten, just thoughts of how much TP will I need and what flavor of cat food to get. That's a HUGE NSV for me, even more major because it seemed such a small thing at the time.38 -
I finished a 30 minute aerobic video without stopping! I've never been able to do that before.31

I did it against the wall for safety as I’m in home practice, but I didn’t really need it so I’ll work my way to the middle of the room in the coming week or two.
Middle of the room headstand this morning ☺️
Yay! I am happy dancing for you. I can only get into them so far against the wall. Baby steps.8 -
I have a logged in and maintained a food diary streak for 301 days. I have been using MFP for 6 years. The first 4 years I lost 25 pounds and the last 2 years I lost 54 pounds more. It has been a long journey but I have learned SO MUCH: cooking healthy foods, planning what I eat, making better choices. When I lost enough weight to be under 100 lbs I promised myself I would never, ever weigh 100 again, and I haven't. I still would like to lose enough weight to no longer in the obese category. My current goal. I am getting close.22

We went to a nice restaurant tonight- outside dining with heaters. It is the first really nice dinner out that we have had since COVID started. I had what I wanted and still managed to stay under 1600 calories for the day. (I am at 1200 calories so it was high for me but worth it.) I even had desert. In the past I would have had a salad and felt disappointed and deprived. I decided before we went that I would bring half my meal home. I was very careful all day so I would have enough calories for a splurge. I was pleased that I could manage my eating during the day and make good choices tonight to have a very enjoyable evening. I know my weight may bounce up for a day or 2 but I am ok with that as well.24

My back feels skinnier. I don’t quite know how to describe it, but it’s like I can feel that j lost a layer of fat between my shoulder blades.
My shoulder blades also stick out more, so I don’t think I’m imagining things but it’s weird that I can actually FEEL it whenever I move muscles in my back 😲

I definitely felt it when I lost a layer of fat off my lower back and upper hips. Lower back is more a "feel" but the profile of my lower back to rump has definitely changed, when I look in the mirror. And I feel it too. I sit back further against chairs and in the bathtub.
