    Thanks for the insight. I unfortunately was in a bad biking accident in October and broke my arm- I had surgery on 10/9 because of the severity. While I’m out of the cast (as of Monday!), I have minimal feeling - residual nerve damage- and very poor range of motion. I’m going to PT and working on it but I haven’t figured out a way to do strength training without a right arm (I’m right handed). I did start running but I’m a very new runner and struggle. I’m going 30 mins 3 times a week with the rest of my 7-8 hours being walking until I can build up more cardiovascular endurance. I’ve started adding squats and lunges in my daily routine but don’t have better ideas. I’m very open to suggestions though.

    @UTMom81 Two tricks I consider when facing a restaurant are #1 find the menu online and pre-track what I am going to have and #2 Order from the appetizer section to make a meal if nothing else works - even if that means 2 appetizers. I often find that the hard to deal with calories are in the sides and not the main meal protein.
