Weird things that happen to your body as you age.
I may regret posting this topic, but I really have no shame, so...
So I recently discovered not just grey, but snow frickin white hairs. There. Down there.
Why did no one tell me this happens as you get older?!?!
I turned 40 and everything just went crazy!
Is there anything else I need to know about???
This is obviously a humorous post, but for real, what else changes with age?

This should be entertaining/enlightening since I'm only 35, but have had grey hairs since I was 28.
I hear that more "age spots", moles and varicose veins show up as you age. Any validity to this?
Also, excess body hair in places you don't want it is a thing, apparently. More of these hairs appear as you get older.3 -
What you should know about your body in your 40's:
It will betray you at every opportunity. From hair growing in places where there shouldn't be hair to shorter but heavier periods. Some women also experience the oddity of their feet getting wider. Thinning hair? wrinkles in your neck? Cellulite pockets? Back acne?6 -
Just call me vino yo ! I be gettin better with age 😂6

Well I'm 38 so let's see...
My PMS has gotten worse as I get older. I don't have any white hairs on my lady garden just yet. I did notice a start of a varicose vain on my left leg about 2 yrs ago. Its very small (dime size) but I noticed it. Thankfully it hasn't gotten bigger and its not popping out at all. Acne still happens only on my face but I use Curology (highly recommended) and I hardly ever breakout now. I haven't noticed any wrinkles just yet except for my 11's. I use Frownies on that at night and that is helping. Other than that I think my body hasn't betrayed me that bad for my age.7 -
The necessity to need a wee 5 times a night!!!!
Oh ....and the pre-bed 'security' wee!7 -

Absolutely!
Also, maybe more of a woman thing, but peeing when I cough/laugh/sneeze. Not cool!8 -
Just wait.... you're in for a treat... menopause is yet to come.
When I was younger all the older women in the office used to say that, "Just wait..." and I've turned into one of them. Take everything you thought you knew about your body and turn it upside down, that's menopause.
I miss being able to sleep. I miss being able to relax. I miss my vocabulary, which suddenly deserts me in the middle of a sentence.7 -
You guys ever find a solitary 2 inch hair growing out of your back?6
-
My parents both have pigment changes or discoloration/spots, especially on the skin of their hands. I know this is also my fate.3

But I already can't do two of those things, does that mean I'll end up with the reverse? I probably won't be that lucky.2 -
Y'all are making me laugh but it's all true...2

Well I’m 31 and for the past few years I can’t really handle booze anymore or a lot of irritating food.
Used to be able to go to the club, leave at 2am out of my mind and go to work at 8am hungover but able to get through the day. I call out now. Ain’t no way.🙅🏻♀️7 -

The day you turn 50, you notice one, single, very white, very long hair growing down your chin.6

I so hope this thread is meant to be humorous..... No offense to anyone, but.... I'm laughing so hard I can hardly type5

Random aches and pains that come and go out of the blue.5

I'm 48 and I should have purchased the extended warranty, LOL...
Hair is retreating from my head and moving elsewhere. A slew of breaking or flat out broken parts inside and out. I really wish the duct tape/WD-40 rule worked on humans.5 -
At 50, I'm turning into a tee-totaler. Drinking more than one large or two small glasses of wind and I won't be able to sleep due to heart palpitations.
I'm already completely gray and no-one ever knew until Covid shut down the hairdressers at my place. Even when dyed, the texture of my hair changed: it is more rigid and harder.3 -

If it were only limited to your chin, no problem. WTF knew you would need an entire selection of tweezers!3 -

Now I understand when older people compare ailments and what medications they're on.9

Maybe I missed it, but has anyone mentioned deteriorating vision? I've had perfect vision my whole life but in my 40's I can tell it's declining, not so sharp anymore.5

I can still function the next day but, back in my 20s, I barely even got hangovers... Nowadays, even just a bottle of wine will have me feeling off the next day and the last time I got drunk I couldn't think straight the whole day after...
ETA: also, muscle soreness takes longer to go away.2 -
