I am the epitome of socially awkward yet somehow loud and ridiculous and pre-covid I was the queen of sticking out my hand to shake (i think in future I’ll just curtsy) and saying, “ Hi, I’m Twitchy!” I thought of it as covering for my acquaintance’s lapse in politeness when they don’t introduce me.

When he has equally geeky interests, so he doesn't mind me reading about medieval religious fasting and how it was definitely gender biased, because he's reading about probability and stochastic economics. And he'll listen and nod politely when I talk about mine and I'll do the same for his.
