What Mini Goal is motivating you right now!

My current mini-goal is to get into the lovely Gloria Vanderbilt size 14 floral print pants I scored on Ebay! They arrive tomorrow, and my size 16's only stay on with a cinched up belt now.10

I want to be a full size down by January. I’m comfortably in women’s 14 now and wearing a belt by necessity. Reaching a comfortable size 12 is a very attainable goal.7

Husband said my present for reaching the 40lb down mark is the new stove I want with the built-in air fryer. Only 5 lbs to go!14

Stilllllll looking for 77.x but it's within reach - I can feel it!
78.4 today - again10 -
19 November: Seeing the scale show below 76 kg. ...23 November: The scale showed 75.9 kg this morning! Mind you, that was after I had rowed 16km (working up to a half marathon next Saturday). ...
And this morning (7 December) the scale was hovering between 75.8 and 75.9 kg without my having exercised. It might be back up tomorrow, but this morning it was below 76 kg. That means less than 1 kg to goal! I wonder if I might be below 75.5 kg before Christmas? We'll see!
I'm going with YeS!

I was back up to 76kg this morning, having been 75.5kg yesterday. However, I think I have a fair chance.6 -
mini goal, is im 4 pounds from reaching my end of year goal of 239, of course i still have quite a bit more but that is for next year and longer term10

Doesn't feel like a mini goal - still 20 lbs away.... But it's there to remind me every day.

I hit my "milestone" weight of 299 lbs, three weeks early...
I have now given myself two mini goals to strive for.
(1) To make sure that I do not drift back into the 300 numbers again.
(2) With my weight at 21st 5 lbs, I want to drop my weight into the 20 stone numbers by 3rd January.
I am not letting up over christmas, for me it is just another day and losing the blubber is way more important than a midwinter festival!10 -
A mini-goal, but a big one mentally:
Today, for the briefest flickering moment, I saw 69.9kg on my scale, before settling on 70.0kg. I underate yesterday, so I'm sure I'll be up again tomorrow. But before fleetingly seeing a sub 70kg weight on the scale, I didn't realise how important that threshold is to me. Probably more important than my (provisional) end goal of a normal BMI (68kg) and just as important as going from obese to overweight.
So 69.9kg, here I come!
It 'only' took two months (I'm eating at a very small deficit) and I might still have some fluctuations in the 70's. But after two subsequent weigh-ins at 69.7kg, I consider this mini-goal achieved, yippee!
My next 'mini' goal is the goal I set for myself when I started this journey 24.5kg/54lbs ago: reaching a normal BMI! 68.8kg is the magic number (and then I'll probably go lower, since I'm not happy yet with my body fat level).11 -
224.8, the 'rona weight gain has to start going away

Have lost 54 lbs. Would be nice to change that to a nice round 55 lbs. This is roughly my half-way point, but I can't be sure because as I get closer to target I plan to go by fat percent rather than weight and for this reason I don't really know my ultimate target except it's in the 140-150 lb range (5'8" female with 7 inch wrist circumference/heavy boned).8

I am only 20 pounds away from losing 100 pounds! I have been maintaining my 80 pound weight loss for too long now and I am ready to lose this last 20 pounds!!24
-
Weighing in at under 200- only 3 pounds to go! I can't remember the last time I saw that. While I am not going to be out of control for the holidays I am going to have some special one time a year treats IF I want them, so it may be a few weeks before I hit that goal but I am ok with that.16
-
I have lost 130 lbs and i dont want to gain one ounce of it back. So I set a very difficult BMI goal of 9percent.
I have been working on that for many months and cant get past 10.3. That little mini goal is forcing me to maintain without thinking about maintaining so even though I keep missing goal...still a win.
its all how we trick our mind!9 -
my goal is for Dec 26 and not gain any weight! Right now I am there but I can easily go up and down a couple of pounds. I have been known to gain 7-8 lbs over the holidays. Wow it is hard this time of year but I am determined. I eat 1/2 of any high cal cake or dessert. If I make it, it will be the first time not to gain weight, stress and temptation and cold weather.7
-
Signed up for a sprint distance triathlon for 17 Jan to keep me active and motivated during the holidays.9
-
My mini goal is to complete 10,000 steps daily and reduce intake of carbs.12
-
I finally have lost 20 lbs. This is my first actual mini goal, which was get back to the weight I had been for a while. Well thought I had been for a while anyway. Next, and we shall see how that goes, I don't plan on setting a weight loss goal right now. I think I will just see how the rest of the winter goes and where I end up come spring. And take that as my mini victory.9
-
To cycle more miles in a year than ever before - getting close to my target now and it's making me train more in winter than I would without a goal to motivate me.
12 -
Hoping to be under 200 soon..I am currently 210 and eyeing "onederland"!17
-
@jar819 You can do this!!! Never give up on yourself!2
-
This has nothing to do with weight, but I just finished writing the Christmas post, and it can all go off tomorrow. That's a weight off my mind, if not off my body, and a good mini goal achieved for this time of year! (It probably won't arrive on time, but at least it should get there this year!)7

My Mini goal is to meditate 6 days a week10
-
My current mini-goal is to get through my next health challenges. My weight loss is going well, but I've had some disturbing health problems lately, have to get my heart checked out, get a toe biopsied, and figure out what is causing funky lab results, my loss of stamina and lingering fatigue. Always something, but as my dear Aunt Elaine was fond of saying "The mortality rate is still 100%." Each day is a gift beyond measure.
It is such a comfort to read how others are coping and adjusting to new realities in their lives, to feel that I am not alone. Stay safe dear peeps! Covid19 where I live is starting to rage out of control

My mini goal is to get to 300 lbs in the next two weeks. I was 304.4 this morning. - 2 pounds a week is doable.9

Still shooting for the 170’s (and am 1/2lb closer than I was before!) but I have a few new mini goals thanks to the very kind folks in these forums who helped me work through and discuss an issue I was having related to not feeling optimal after sweaty, high impact, high intensity cardio workouts.
1. SLEEP. I think the fall/school routine will demand I figure this out (as if my body not feeling great wasn’t enough motivation). *eye rolling at myself over here* I need more sleep. I used to be able to live life as I currently am without much change but I think that’s no longer the case as of a few months ago. I will start with being asleep before 11pm at the latest and gradually move that earlier until I get back to 8hrs a night.
2. WATER. I feel my best on 1gal a day. That’s a lot of water. I will drink 1/2 Gal before lunch and 1/2 Gal after. It’s the before lunch part that’s been suffering so that’s where my focus is going to be. Funny thing is, I actually still get close to a half a day because without it I feel super thirsty. But as I drink more later in the day to make up for the mornings forgetfulness I experience a proportional amount of disrupted sleep from needing to pee several times in the night. Ridiculous. (Me. I am ridiculous. These habits I have formed this summer are ridiculous. )
3. Stretching/conditioning. I will pursue to build back the habit of cooling down well after my workouts as well as adding in a day devoted to the stretches and exercises that help me feel my best. I am willing to take away a day of harder work and sub this in instead if it means I build the habit. Once the habit is built I will rework the schedule again and reassess from there.
This will likely take me a few months simply because my best lifestyle changes happen gradually over time instead of immediately all at once. I’ll tackle these one at a time starting with the one that seems most doable. Here’s to the mini goals!
I hit the 170’s this morning!!
I’ve been going to see a Posture Restoration Therapist and the results have been amazing. I was told I can continue my normal workouts with a few minor modifications but I’ve found it easier to avoid pain flair-ups if I concentrate on the PT exercises + walking.
This has of course meant that the delicate balance of the right calorie intake was thrown off for a while. I can maintain like it’s nobodies business! I’m excited to have finally figured out the cal intake-to-loss-ratio for this new (though temporary) season of more physical rest. 1/2lb a week, 3 weeks out of the month. Woooo!!
The other 3 mini goals are cementing nicely and I am pleased with how I feel as a result of those things as well17 -
I just discovered, today, that I can jog 2 miles without walking. My mini goal is a 5K. Running has been a beast for me. I can lift heavy and do cardio and have been working out consistently for the last 2 years but for some reason I couldn’t run. Of course, I have been avoiding running but the coach prescribed a 2 miles run/jog today and I did it! I am super stocked! I will add running to my routine and train for a 5K. It’s funny how hope can inspire! 🏃🏾♀️
I am so excited to say that I reached this goal today. I realized shortly after posting (on Nov. 19, 2020) that I did not set a timeline for the goal so I decided that I wanted to reach it before the end of 2020. I downloaded a 5K training plan and tailored it to me. I decided to jog the 5K today since this will probably be the nicest weather we’ll have before the end of the year. YAY! I jogged a very slow 5K for the first time in over 5 years. I could not even jog a mile at the beginning of this year. My mini goal for the rest of the year is simply to drink enough water daily. I will start with 1/2 gallon per day and progress from there. Back to the basics for me in preparation for the new year hustle.18 -
My mini goal for December is to lose 5 lbs. I lost 6 lbs in November. Also to keep up with my walking every day. Good luck to everyone 😎
So this morning I got my goal of 5 lbs lost before the end of the year! Super happy to have some wriggle over Xmas and will attempt to lose another 1 lb to make it 6 lbs lost in November and 6 lbs lost in December! Good luck to everyone smashing their goals!18 -
Lost 8.5 pounds in 4 months. I'd like to get to an even 10 pounds by the end of January.10
