Forgive me father for I have sinned. Found a recipe for lush brocolli and corn calzone but had to improvise with some ingredients when I bought them which, once i added them into MFP doubled the calorie content. I cannot explain how disgusted with myself I was, but I ate it and I hated it and then I had a huge blow out. Full bottle of wine, biscuits, chocolate How come when you hate what you've done you make it worse
Aww, I just want to look after you!
It'll be ok. You can start again tomorrow, everything's going to be ok
Aw thanks, I'm fine today. I've never felt so disappointed with myself as I did yesterday though. Think I was massively disappointed in the crap outcome of the pizza too though so it was a double whammy lol
I know exactly where you're coming from, but you have to know when it's best to give up and put the rubbish in the bin instead of you. There's really no point in eating something bad for you if you're not going to enjoy it.
normally I'm good at that and don't make particularly bad choices. Think it was more the fact that I had to make substitutes to the actual healthy recipe due to lack of options at the supermarket. It just knocked me on an already low day.
I'm back on the horse now though and am raring to go again.0 -
I sometimes get a cocktail to the size of a pint before I realise I can't add anything that will make it taste good after some substitutions0

Forgive me I have sinned, I couldnt stop laughing at that dogs *kitten*!
lol i felt like I had a first class ticket to hell laughing at that Beats going coach I guess :P0 -

Ben and Jerrys Phish food sounds great! I understand such temptation. All is forgiven!0 -

That's the truth! I had some pepperoni rolls that were leftover from yesterday (the last day of my vacation). I didn't want to eat them today -- they didn't sound good at all! I really wanted some veggies, but since we had been on vacation, the fridge was pretty bare, and I thought, "If I don't eat the pepperoni rolls, they'll go to waste."
So instead of doing what I really WANTED to do and eating healthy food, I used my body as a trashcan, and choked the pepperoni rolls down. Now I feel lousy.
I did a diet plan a few years ago whose author mentioned the concept of not using your body as a trashcan. We should value our bodies more highly than any food that might go to waste, and quit using them as trash cans. I need to remember that!0 -
Forgive me father i ate half a pizza and drank a six pack of beer last night.0

all is well, today is a new day. Think of father the next time you have pizza and beer okay?0

Not really cheating... but so lazy I cant get my big *kitten* off the couch to exercise. Let me explain: I am a full time student and bartender. Between homework (since I am graduating in Dec it is a lot), cleaning house and working I am beat at the end of a day! Does sex count as exercise and if so why is it not in cardio exercise log??0
-
Forgive my MFP friends, for i will be sinning tonight and possibly the next few days. I have the parentals coming over for a few days (eeeekkkk!!!!) and i already know that i will be going over my calorie count bc i'm gonna actually try cooking something and i probably won't be excersising either........0

You get a free pass until December on the Exercise! Sex can be labeled as wrestling!0 -

Hope you have fun! Get back on track once they leave I"ll be watching you :P0 -
i think i fell off the wagon had it ride over me and then got hit by the rest of the wagon train, but i'm limping along in the vague direction it went in to try and catch it up. i have no will power and no motivation, but i DO want to lose some weight and get fitter. so far today is going well but i may as well confess that by the end of today i will be over my cals, the reason why.... my boyfriend is cooking, in theory it should be a shepherds pie with veg, but i could end up with anything, he won't tell me how much of anything he used what he used and he'll pile my plate hight, but this is the only day he cooks and its not even every sunday that he does so if i kick up a fuss or don't eat most of it my god the sulking is unbareable. so that is my confession.
now did anybody see where my wagon went?
lame excuse. and excuses will keep you fat.0 -
Yes Captain!! :bigsmile:0
-
I have a half hearted confession... I had filet mignon yesterday and two beers but I stayed under. :bigsmile:0

I went over my calories yesterday BUT I have an excuse. It was Fathers Day and I had 3 separate big meals made for me that would have been rude to refuse;
1 - My wife made this awesome lightish french toast with bananas and maple syrup for breakfast.
2 - Off to my Mums house where we all had a scrambled egg, bacon, hashbrown and homemade bread brunch
3 - Off to my inlaws where I had a nice steak, a beer, one and a half glasses of wine and some homemade spring rolls. Then a Weight Watchers recipe of Apple and Strawberry meringue pots.
Completely off my calorie mark but not going to get depressed about it, I had a great day and am back on track today. I did a bit of exercise dancing with my kids for about 15 minutes but I don't think that had a chance in hell of helping me back to my break even calorie mark.0 -
Since my joining date I had lost 11kgs (over 20lbs). I have in the last 3 months (half the time) gained almost all of it back (I think I am 1kg shy).
sometimes we fall off the wagon because of life's changes. which are constant. It's learning to deal with life's changes and your diet that makes you stronger.
find the balance. May the force be with you.0 -
I push people off the wagon. :devil:0

GOOD POINT I WILL LABEL IT AS SO FROM NOW ON!0

This is a great topic!
I have a big sin to confess.
I fell (well, jumped since it was completely my own faul) off the wagon big-time. I'd been going pretty well for a few months, then had to do 10 weeks of shift work - and stopped all my efforts completely after one week. I haven't been going to my taekwondo classes since I started shifts 10 weeks ago, my diet efforts changed from healthy options most of the time, then to some of the time, and then... I have to confess that I had some late-night runs to McDonalds after work. I didn't even go to the gym at all after about four weeks in.
I'm now on annual leave, going overseas in two days, and hoping I can get back on track. It feels better just to admit how much I've gone off track!0 -
Oh man is this perfect for me! I started this in Feb and have been very committed losing at the most 16 lb. However....sometime at the end of July I fell off the wagon hard and gained 3 lbs in Aug. I haven't actually exercised since end of July, spent most of August eating lots of carbs like pasta, breads, desserts and currently have peanut butter chocolate chip cookies baking for Labor Day picnic tomorrow... But I do have somewhat of an excuse, I had a cousin visiting from Italy staying at my house the entire month of August so had to entertain and didn't have a lot of time to exercise. I can't wait to get back on the wagon, we all hit rough spots once in a while!!0

That my friend is well worth it and staying under was a great bonus :P0 -
I almost gave in last night....
My daughter wanted me to pick her up a donut at dunkin donuts on the way home last night. I didn't realize it at the time, but the guy hooked me up with 3 donuts instead of 1 (i paid 87 cents)... I guess cause I said it was for my daughter. She's 5 (evil too..), so I figure she wouldn't eat more than 1 anyway. I started to rationalize to myself that its fine just eat the damn thing, especially because I had almost 1000 extra calories I burned earlier that night. But I said no, put the donut back into the bag and went to bed 30 mins later ;P0 -
I fell off the wagon as well! I had come so far ( lost 27 lbs) ANd worked really harf to get that far! I got on the scale yesterday and to my shame I have gained 11.5 of it back!!! Gerrr! It does feel good for me to admit this as well! Hang in there! And I know you can get back on track!0
