Week 1. A good start
I finished off last year with a bit of a bang, so I was holding on to a bit of water weight (sandbagging for this year’s challenge). Returning to my normal diet has allowed me to shed that and return to my lowest measured weight of 2020 (the morning after a long bike ride). Started last year by jumping out in front of the curve. Working to do the same this year; beating that pesky 185 is within reach…again.
Starting weight 1/1/2021: 192 lbs
Goal weight: 165 lbs
Current Weight: 185.1 lbs
This week’s Change: -6.9 lbs
Challenge weight lost: -6.9 lbs
This Week’s Successes:
Felling better with the weight off and back in the swing of things. Logging meals and started a 30-day fitness challenge to keep me active at least a little each day.
This Week’s Challenges:
Staying on task after letting myself loosen up a bit. Craving sweets and unhealthy carbs, though giving in on occasion has still been within my calorie limits for the day. Other than the 10-15 minute workouts, no major burns. With cycling out due to weather, I need to find the gym if this is going to work.6 -
Okay, now that I have a second weigh-in for 2021, I'll make a more honest post.
Starting weight: 247.4 lbs (1/1/2021)
Goal weight: 160, then reevaluate
Current weight: 246.2 lbs (1/8/2021
Total weight lost: 1.2 lbs
This week's successes: Dat loss tho!! My food this week has been relatively high in sodium so I was expecting to be retaining HELLA water.
This week's challenges: Not getting snacks for that 3:30 PM slump at work. I managed to avoid it 2 out of 3 days in-office, but I WFH 2 days a week, and my WFH setup has me staring straight into my kitchen, which is where all the snacks live.7 -
Starting weight: 216 on 1/1/21
Goal weight: 164 (52 lb loss)
Current weight: 211 on 1/7
Total weight lost: 5
This week's successes: tracked eating and drank more water
This week's challenges: Did not fit in exercise.

This week's challenges: Sticking with it when the scale doesn't cooperate. The scale is only one measure but it's disheartening when it doesn't go down.6 -
I followed the 2020 challenge, and I'm looking forward to participating in this one.
I'll do my official weigh in on Jan 1st.
Lots of good luck to everyone!
2021 weight loss goal is -40-45 lbs.
Jan 2021

Starting weight January 1, 2021: 211
Goal weight:150
Current weight: 209
Total weight lost: 2
This week's successes:
Logged my food daily and accurately, exercised as I promised myself, and had one meatless day so far (working up to a minimum of 2 a week).
This week's challenges:
I was really hungry and sore this week for hormonal reasons, and so keeping myself out of the pantry was hard. Also, first week back to remote classes, which was a bit stressful and hectic.
This is a really motivating start to the year for me. Tha k you for posting this challenge. 😊9 -

This week's success: losing what I gained over Christmas - mostly fluid retention due to too much salty food. I'll take it, as there were still a couple more pounds gone from my lowest weight in December!
This week's challenge: to get my daily average calories back under 1800. I should be at about 1600 but I am gearing myself to get there a little more gradually. So far it's been working okay.

Hi folks
Jumping in and joining a little late. I have been on a long roller coaster ride to health but this year and this challenge I think will see me to my goal weight finally.
Highest weight 2019: 287
Challenge start weight Jan 1 2021: 179
Goal weight 130
Week 1 Jan 3 : 178.4
Week 2 Jan 10: 175.8
Challenge Weight Lost: 4.8 lbs
Total weight loss 112 lbs6 -
Starting weight:218.8 lbs
Goal weight:175 lbs
Current weight:216 lbs
Total weight lost:2.8 lbs
This week's successes: Logging Food Everyday, Competing with daughter on Switch - Fitness Band - Boy she is competitive!!!!!! I bumped up my difficulty level by 1- feeling stronger and posture has improved!
This week's challenges: Keeping up the momentum
Also, decided to reward myself with little pampering gifts every time I lose 5lbs. I am a super low maintenance woman so spending $20-$50 on myself seems very extravagant. I am hoping this will keep me motivated and going during the long haul.
01/01/2021 - 218.8 lbs
01/10/2021 - 216 lbs7 -
Starting weight: 155lb (5'0", BMI 30.27)
Goal weight: 100lb (BMI 19.53)
Current weight: 150lb
Total weight lost: 5lb
This week's successes: I kept up with my supplements every day this week. I feel great, despite having a few days above my calorie allotment. I'm trying to maintain a healthy relationship with my food and I feel like I've done much better than normal.
This week's challenges: I can tell that my cycle is about to start and I've just felt a little meh regarding myself. I also had to stop taking one of my medications and it's been a little bleh, too.
My reasoning for getting that low is for a climbing competition. I have to climb for 24 hours straight and it will be incredibly difficult at a high weight. The smaller I can be, the easier it will make this competition. I plan on that being my competition weight and having my maintenance weight be closer to 110.6 -
@skeletalplatypi Climbing competition? Sounds interesting.3
