Is that A Man Called Ove? I read that one. I almost didn't read it...the first 10 pages or so were very difficult for me as I lost my sister to suicide 5 1/2 years ago. It was worth it though.
Yes sorry, typo.
I’m so sorry for your loss, I can’t begin to imagine.
I think I’m only 4 pages in so far, but I’ve heard wonderful things.
Good book, unexpected ending.1 -

It's been a while since I read it, but I remember thinking that it wasn't as funny as I expected it to be.1 -

oooh I love memoirs. Some of my absolute favorites (even if I wasn't interested in the person beforehand):
Louie Anderson - Hey Mom
Amy Schumer - The Girl with the Lower Back Tattoo
Carly Simon - Boys in the Trees
Ruth Wariner - the Sound of Gravel (SAD!)
Lol Tolhurst - Cured
Anthony Kiedis - Scar Tissue
Colin Jost - A Very Punchable Face
Patricia Williams - Rabbit
Eunsun Kim - A Thousand Miles to Freedom
Kate Mulgrew - Born With Teeth
Piper Kerman - Orange is the New Black (quite different from the show, and amazing)
I remember the Carly Simon one was okay and Oliver Sacks was not terrible. I'm not sure if they were memoirs or autobiographies but I loved the ones by Rodney Dangerfield, Chris Kattan, Kevin Hart, George Carlin, Dali, Beatrice Wood ..Let us know if you find any more good ones!
I am reading the Amy Schumer one and it's a bit boring. But I like Kevin Hart so maybe I'd like that one1 -
As usual, she grabs your attention from the very first page. Well worth reading. Enjoy!1 -
Finishing "Campusland" by Scott Johnson. I'm grateful for any satire nowadays...I think it could be a bit sharper and less on the nose, but it's still amusing. Adrian McGinty's "The Chain" is next.1

Is that the same guy who wrote Pretties? Dystopian?0 -
Just finished up Neil Gaimond's Neverwhere, getting ready to start Carl Hiaasen's Squeeze Me and looking forward to it, I need a good laugh.0

If you like novels about Florida (like Hiaasen), try Charles Willeford.2

Love Neverwhere! Neil Gaimon is awesome! The BBC version was relatively good...1 -
Team of Rivals. It's a multi biography centered on President Lincoln, and it's my third time through it. I've found it life altering.0
