I posted the St. Patrick’s Day Challenge. Official start day will be the 15th so I am not overlapping with this thread but for the early birds itching for a fresh start there is an option to start tomorrow, 6 days early. Weigh in every 6 days. I left the goals flexible so everyone can pick their own.

  • Update: wellll I weigh more than I did when I started this challenge 😑😑 my issue is that I am seeing people that I haven’t seen in a while next week and I had been rushing to lose weight before then. I’m just going to forget about that. I’ll focus on summer. My new goal is to lose 3 pounds by March 1, lose 2 from then until April, then 2 more from then till May.

@AlessandraJulianna I think we have all been there! If you have been eating a standard diet, you can drink a gallon of water and cut out carbs to lose 5 pounds in a week. You will be losing mostly water weight but it still makes you feel slim.
Next up is the St. Patty’s Challenge! Come sign up for a fresh start.

@Acrylicfox thank you for for the kind feedback. My weigh ins were pretty great until my vacation week set me back a few pounds, lol.

    SW/current weight: 1/5 151.25lbs; 1/8 153.0lbs
    February 14th goal weight: 141.25lbs
    Ultimate goal weight 125lbs-135lbs

    Jan 5: 151.25lbs
    Jan 11: goal 149.25lbs; goal met! 149.25lbs
    Jan 18: goal 147.25lbs; 1/14 148.0lbs; 1/18 149.5lbs
    Jan 25: goal 146.5lbs; goal met on 1/21 146.5lbs; 1/25 147.5lbs
    Feb 1: goal 144.5lbs; goal met on 1/27 144.5lbs; low weight this week 1/29 143.875lbs, 2/1 145.25lbs
Feb 8: goal 143; no low weight this week due to vacation. 2/8 148.0lbs
    Feb 14: goal was 141.25lbs

2/8 I had a vacation week. My boyfriend and I went snowboarding and stayed at the resort for 3 days/2 nights. I snowboarded 30 miles. I ate and drank plenty but not really excessively like I have in the past. My goal this week is to eat light and see where my weight is on Monday. I am hopeful for 143lbs on 2/14 but I honestly am already thrilled my weight is moving in the right direction. 143lbs would put me at a 10 pound weight loss from my highest weight on 1/8.

I'm very discouraged. I'm not even going to make it to 5 pounds down by V day.

I have to figure out a way to incorporate exercise into my life at home. It's too cold to walk outside & too snowy. All the shoveling doesn't seem to be helping. :{ I used to love the elliptical at my old gym. I can't even buy one because there are no rooms in my house with enough vertical clearance. This sucks.

Any weight loss is great weight loss!

How do you feel about a stationary bike? Can you go snow shoeing at a park? Pilates can be done at home. You could do a squat and lunges challenge. Do you have any gear?

    Progress update!

    SW 1/1/2021: 247.4
    Challenge GW: 237
    Progress:
    1/8: 246.2
    1/15: 244.4
    1/22: 244.0
    1/29: 243.8
    2/5: 243.1
    2/12: 241.4

Well, I didn't get to 237, but I *did* make it to 10lbs down from my original SW (252.8), so I'll count that as a win. Happy Valentine's Day/President's Day weekend, everybody!

i danced for 20 years . i took 2 master classes at the Festival. each night there were concerts to go to. it was two weeks of absolute bliss for a die hard flamenca like me. if covid ever ends *big IF* - it's definitely worth it to go. :)

WOAH you're so dedicated! 20 years!
The festival sounds just as incredible as I always imagined!
Thanks for making me want to go even more
Now off to find some flamenco lessons...

Do you have any recommendations to watch flamenco on youtube?
