13.25 this morning!9

Learnt a new lift - the oly power snatch and I can do dragon flags, need to increase time on the hold...oh and I did not die doing burpees in my cardio finisher post pressing session (although I almost broke the light fitting on the jump up to extension bit, oops!)10

My waist is 1 inch smaller than it was 3 weeks ago.29

Here's my NSV, I went swimming yesterday after only getting 4 hours sleep after working a night shift before. I felt like death but I went. It wasn't a great swim. Post night shift hangovers are real beasts. But more importantly I didn't wuss out and not go. Today I have one booked and this one will be way better, because this time I have slept 12 hours....lol #nurselife #sometimesitreallysucksthegoodouttaya #committedtomyfitness26

For the first time ever I saw the outline of my abs and when I flexed them I could see the top 2 abs show up! I thought completing a marathon was exciting.23

My dance teacher said I'd probably need a medium in these super-tight black pleather leggings we'll be wearing for our dance recital. I said I'd probably need a large and she said "no, you're a 'skinny-Minnie.'"28

Like above, the stomach definition is coming in. So weird but I don't hate it 😂🤣24 -
My blood sugar is coming down! This morning's number was 136. It has been as high as 210.25

I have way more energy and don't feel like napping all the time... little tasks no longer feel like as much of a chore.22

Took the steps today to my office and didn't need to stop half way up to catch my breath. When I did reach the top, it only took 60 or so seconds for my heart rate to come back down to normal.27

I tried on all my bikinis yesterday and they were all too big. I guess I’m going bathing suit shopping!22

A trio of NSV's:
- at the end of my run yesterday, I ran for nearly two minutes at 9kph (5.6mph). That is very quick for me, I am not a natural runner 🙂
- bought some (cheap) new jeans since my old pair were getting quite oversized. I wasn't sure about my size, but I ended up buying a European 38/French 40. If I 'shrink' only two more sizes, that'll be the smallest size (in that brand anyway, I have a feeling their sizes run a bit big)
- I've run out of holes on my belt. Instead of buying a new belt, I found a really old one in a drawer, probably from when I was still in college. It's one of those braided belts that you can close wherever you want. And it closes, just! Less than an inch from the end of the belt, lol, but it will do. Puts things into perspective, that I was a few inches thinner at the waist when I was younger, but I really had no idea back then how slim I was, I felt fat.20 -
Having recently started doing yoga for the stretching, I've been doing 10 min daily YouTube classes in the morning aswell as longer chilled out classes in the evening most days.
This morning she went and popped in a slide plank as an extension. I nearly didn't try that because I 'knew' I couldn't do it, but I decided to give it a go. And you know what... I did it! And I held it! And it was almost easy. AND my gymnast son who is made of elastic and muscles kept falling out of it too. I was shocked! And screaming inside!
Without really noticing, I've become stronger and now need to educate myself on what my body can do now. Just a teensy bit overexcited to feel my body really coming back to the person I always believed I was.34 -

Sometimes it takes a little extra time for our minds to catch up and/or realize what our bodies are truly capable of! Your mind can also try to talk yourself out of a lot more than what your body can do - don't let your mind hold you back! ***of course, listen to your body and don't push through something just to push through, risking injury***11 -

BEST FEELING EVER!!!11 -
I'm within 3 pounds of my weight before I started working from home due to the pandemic.29

Bought new clothes today- 14 pants and large tops. down from XXL tops and tight 18 pants! Still have a ways to go but I am thrilled.23

I've had a couple this week!
I've taken my kids bike riding in the neighborhood and I can definitely feel a huge difference in how my bike seat fits me now.
Doing any movements/stretches on the floor is becoming rather uncomfortable with my new lack of padding back there.
I'm starting to notice the way my body shape is changing with more muscle/less body fat - nice little indent on my hips, collarbones popping out, nice defined lines on my quads.
This will hopefully end up being a NSV - I just bought plane tickets to see my grandparents in AZ for their 70th anniversary in April and I need to make sure my swim suits fit!15 -
I’m going back in time! Started over in January with a serious fire to get my backside in gear, as of today I’m back down lower than my weight last August (which was a half hearted attempt to get back on the wagon, I wasn’t ready then). Next stop, back to pre working from home weight in March 2020.18

I've had a couple this week. First, I had a long weekend away and on the flights, I noticed I fit in the seat appropriately and my belt actually had some "tail" left. At my largest, there was nothing to pull to tighten it. I always thought of that as, I'm one pizza away from needing a seatbelt extender.
Today, I pulled on my favorite yoga pants and they were a bit loose. I am going to hang onto them as long as I can, but I can tell the day is coming I'll need to find new ones.17 -
On March 8,2020, I started my journey to a healthy lifestyle, after asking myself what aspects of my life that I could control. When I started I wore a snug 2x top and a snug 18w pants. Yesterday I went shopping for summer clothes and fit into and purchased M tops and size 8 pants. My goal is to fit back into size 6 pants and improve my weight lifting skills.29
-
Went rummaging through some old clothes yesterday and found some pants that fit a 35-39 inch waist. (They have strap adjustment.) Those fit very comfortably and the others were all way too big. I can also fold forward really well with my smaller and very squishy belly not impeding me anymore.14

Joining a new gym again and pushing myself out of my comfort zone while I’m there. 🏋🏻♀️ Working out at home is fine, BUT getting out and having more equipment available is kickstarting the motivation again 🥰9

I bought a new walking jacket for the winter late last year from poshmark. It fit but I had to pull the bottom up a bit to get it zipped as it didn't quite fit around my hips. Put it on last night and noticed I didn't have to adjust at all to get it zipped.17

I know all too well about the post-night-shift hangover, I'm dreading it tomorrow morning. Its even worse when you're not scheduled but get called in at the last minute. Kudos for not wussing out & still getting it in.4 -
As part of my weight loss journey I started running. Over the course of 2 years my speed and distances improved. This month I managed to meet a new goal: I ran 10k in under an hour!

Congrats on getting out there and getting your swim done. Thank you to you and all the others who take care of us every day and particularly through this pandemic.4 -
When I was heavier, my bood pressure was a high 133/80....i Went ot the doctor the other day and it was 117/75 Big improvement!116

This has been a breakthrough week for me on my journey, especially with NSV as the scale hasn't moved much in the last 10 days or so. People are starting to notice my weight loss which I find very motivating! I had a teammate at women's practice this morning point out my new found sort of abs to everyone in the locker room and another teammate has said she's found my discipline super inspiring so that was a great start to my day!15
