They are a type of Greyhound and I’m pretty sure they are naturally that thin.
I know, I’d feed one until you couldn’t see it’s ribs and back vertebrae.1 -

If you see abs on a male, do you have the same thought? These dogs are in racing form and they are desert dogs. It's hot and dry and fat would drag them down--or kill them.5 -

No of course not. But if you saw all those bones and shoulder blades sticking out on a teenage girl.......? Abs vs. bones/shoulder blades=2 different things JMO
It's all in the eyes of the beholder and I've never seen a dog like that unless seriously emaciated and underfed such as one of my rescue dogs were when they found her on the streets and pregnant. I'm sure they have to stay in top shape/form to handle racing (:() and the heat.
