January 2021 starting weight: 206 lbs
April starting weight: 177.2 lbs
April goal weight: 170 lbs

4/1- 177.2 lbs ....got my second vaccination yesterday so feeling a little tired and sore today hopefully I will better later today so I can get a workout in ๐
4/8- 175.2 lbs....had to make up some calorie burning the last few days but it paid off! My body is definitely a little sore from last nights workout but totally worth it ๐
4/15- 171.8 lbs...much bigger drop than anticipated, must have been some water weight! Feels great just was a big surprise today โค๏ธ Staying focused on logging my food and exercising! The nice weather has helped a lot and the craziness at work has me getting a bunch more steps in so hope I can keep this up for a bit longer ๐บ
4/22-169.6 lbs....reached my goal!!! My new goal is going to stay under 170 this next week ๐ณ since covid began my parents havenโt come down to visit and now that we all are vaccinated they are coming to see me for my birthday! Very excited to see them just need to make sure I donโt go too crazy with food and gain too much weight this next 7 days ๐ค

Wow...can't believe I am down 2 lbs for the week! I have been journaling all my food with a few exceptions. Family is here for awhile, grandkids, etc and that makes it interesting. They love pasta! I do too but hardly ever have it. A salad just doesn't look like a plate of rotini and meatballs! Oh well.
Today I go in for some heart tests so hoping those all come out good. Losing this weight will help. Working towards that Onederland.
The weather is getting nicer out here in Northern Il. Makes it more appealing to get out there and play in the garden and walk around to see the birds and plants blooming. Hoping everyone has a great weekend and a good week ahead. Remember that one day doesn't ruin everything....just like a thunderstorm that passes. Look for the good and you will find it!9 -

Worked steadily to improve the dietary part of my health journey this past week and maintained my daily physical activity (one day all my daily walks ended up amounting to 2 & 1/2 hours) but the weight did not drop. That said my body just feels like it wants to drop some weight (maybe tomorrow is my lucky day with the scale?) so onward and downward with determination (seems like a good mantra?). I also wrote out the quote and taped it to my monitor from something I read last week "If I am tired of starting over, I need to stop giving up" so this is me not giving up.
Wishing all a successful week whether it be weight loss, increased fitness or just some mindful inspirations

Apr 1: 278 (or 278.8. My scale is kinda messed up and i probably need to get a better one). A teacher, teaching virtual and in-person at the same time. Chained to a desk. Struggling to get steps and activity. Trying to do better.
Apr 8: 278.2 I donโt believe the 278 form last week (think it was an artificial low. I bough a new scale, so i feel more confident in this weekโs number). Went on a walk around campus 2 days this week at lunch with my teacher friends. Trying to use the โfarโ faculty bathrooms whenever time permits. Trying to walk around the room more during work time when my virtual kids arenโt asking questions and iโm not filling out โpaperworkโ.
Apr 15: 273.9. Had a โwooshโ after a long day at a STEM day camp with a group of students. Been pretty exhausted ever since. Rough weather and a rough week at school meant no lunch-time walks and a lot of sitting at my desk.
Apr 22: 272.7. Was down to 269.8 one day this week. That felt nice to see. Itโs been a really stressful week at work, the students are burnt out of computer based learning and even the teachers are starting to turn on each other. Today was good, though. Trying to eat more sensible portions and reduce/eliminate alcohol. I did splurge and get a latte this morning, though. It was worth it.

Apr 08: โฆ208.2 No explanation except that I did have 2 adult beverages. I went on a wonderful hike following the river, ate healthy and stayed busy yesterday. Pushing water today.
Apr 15: โฆ207.6 Right back where I started. Kicking self in butt.
Apr 22: โฆ207.2 My second shot of Moderna today. Just feeling a bit tired so far, no headache, fever, chills or aches at this time. Weight is down a bit from last week. Weโll see how it goes on the scale in the upcoming days. I had a lot of travel this week (including restaurants) so weโll see how it catches up to me.

April 9th: 200.4 (not quite as low as I'd hoped. I was 199.8 on Saturday so was hoping for 199 by today. Unfortunately, got off track with Easter and sweets this past week. I have been working out almost every day though, which is still fairly new for me)
April 16th: 200.4 (I'm a bit discouraged by this. On Sunday, I had a good talk with myself as my birthday is coming up in a few weeks and I decided if I got serious, I could lose at least 5-10lbs before then. I currently have MFP set to lose 1.5lbs a week and this week, I ate under my calories every day and worked out all but one day. I was hoping I would at least be out of the 200s! Next week!!)
April 23rd: 201.2 (I forgot this week was my TOM and I also ended up ordering a delicious & comforting fried oyster dinner delivery meal after a frustrating failed attempt at making some healthier sweet potato and cauliflower pierogies with cassava flour. I did see 199.0 this week on Monday, yay, so hopefully this will shoot back down in a few days.)
April 30th:
I have a question about scales. Is it normal for a scale to show the exact same weight 3 days in a row? My old scale only showed weight in 0.5lb increments, so I bought a new one that would show it in 0.1lb increments. However, last week, there were 3 days in a row that it showed 200.4, even though I know the way I ate and exercised varied each day. Then this morning, it showed 201.2. I decided to check my old scale and it said 200.5. I stepped back on the new scale and it said 201.8 even though it was only about a minute later. I recorded the 201.2 as my weight for today.3 -
Really happy with my loss over the last week. Staying just under my calories and lots of running worked for me this week. Can't believe I'm already under my calories for the month.

April 9: 159.6 - candy all over the office, but managed to avoid most of it besides a handful of jelly beans
April 12: 159 - happy with my a1c and lipid panel!
April 16: 157 - unexpected, but ate clean during the week and worked out everyday
April 19: 155.6 - quiet weekend, was able to watch what I ate and go to the gym
April 23: 154 - distracted by preparing a presentation for work, snacked less. Need to up my water intake
