You know how often if you get started, you get into a workout and end up completing it with bells on? Yeah, that didn't happen this time, but I was already at the bottom of the canyon when I realized that and still had to climb out to get home again. So, no bells on, but I did complete the workout, even if it was more of a plod than a hike.25

My 'skinny clothes' storage crate is down to a single pair of pants that I can almost wear (so close), while my 'fat clothes' bin is full. Going to need to decide whether to give those away or hang onto them but that is a decision for another day

I had gained about 10 pounds over the holidays 2020. Since the beginning of April I am working out intensely and daily but still have lost any weight. I did jump around my step this morning, which I have not been able to do since being at a lighter and former fitness level last year. So I know I will get where I want to be again. Still today after that good workout, I have decided to cut 100-300 calories per day. This amounts to eating everything, just a few bites less of everything. This type of cutting back on food works for me as well.14

Went to the zoo today and walked around for 3 hours. 3 whole hours. Last year at this time I was 359 pounds (272 now) and couldnt even walk through the grocery store without my back and hips hurting. Now that I'm home, the only things that hurt are my heals, and not from my weight either. It just amazes me that I can do that now and not be in pain.32

I have Psoriatic Arthritis and Spinal Stenosis and my range of motion is limited. I lost 40 lbs 2 years ago and was able to do small things I took for granted years ago like drawing my legs up to put on my shoes, being able to fully bathe myself without an assisting tool, etc--. Then, my meds started failing and my disease progressed, I was less mobile and gained the weight back and loss the range of motion I'd gained. Well, my meds were working enough for me to start back on my journey March 1st. I've lost 21 lbs and yesterday without even thinking, I crossed my leg over and put on my shoe like I did 2 years ago. Nice victory indeed.37

I love doing virtual medal challenges and this week's NSV is doing the London Marathon in a week (recorded Strava walks instead of generic day to day steps)13

My weight is not moving. I'm 81-82 kgs since November but with regular workouts I definitely feel tighter around my waist, stomach feels a bit flat too. I still have a lower belly pooch but my belly used to be this big bouncy thing11

I hadn't ridden a bike in at least 25 years when I got back on one in late January sometime. Just over a week ago, my heavy hybrid bike and I joined a group of dedicated racers for an almost 33 mile "fun" ride. I won't be riding with them again as my poor bike and I were totally outclassed and what took them maybe 90 minutes to do, at their "relaxed, kicked back" pace took me almost three hours. But that was okay... it was a great ride and I actually felt really good when it was over (although by the time I got home, I was ready for a nap).18

Having to tell someone who I hadn't seen in a whole who I am because they didn't recognise me. I've lost 3 stone but still have another 7 to go to goal weight.14

I found the ultimate belt for weight loss at target.
I have bought and have grown out of at least 3 belts in the past year. So this time when I needed a new belt (ran out of holes again), I was purposeful in the belt I got.
I found a belt that is an M, that I can JUST squeeze myself so that it fits the first hole. So, not only will it last a while because I have room, the bonus is that the belt has holes along the whole length of it - all the way to the buckle, and literally no human has NO waist, so I think this belt is here to stay!
Message me if you want the link to the belt at Target.14 -
I went to the doctor to tell them I want to lose weight. I have never done that before but I am officially in the risk group for Covid with my current BMI of 33 and I hate that. So I said I want the vaccine as soon as I can get it but I also want to lose weight as I don't want to be in any risk group for being obese or overweight. I was so embarrassed, but the doctor was nice and encouraging and she gave me names of nutritionists I should talk to. So overcoming my embarrassement and getting information is quite a success for me.35

I wore a somewhat fitted workout tank to the gym instead of my usual oversized t-shirt and I did not completely hate the way it looked on me20

I've been steadily losing weight for around 3 months, having lost around 13lb since then. Today, I had my very first "have you lost weight?" comment from a friend I see almost every day (she's a mum I see at the school gate when dropping the kids off) and it made my day!25

my weight has been down 40 lbs for three years. No one says anything to me any more about losing weight but after I took a picture someone did post something like you have lost weight. Felt good, I said No, just staying about the same.11

good for you to ask for help. Asking for help is such a huge hurdle! You will learn so much from a nutritionist. for me I have found I know what to eat and what not, my problem was my brain. Something with food in there was disconnected. I have spent the last year and a half with an online support group run by a health coach to learn the "why" I eat and not necessarily the "what" to eat. I have learned so much about myself and have been able to make some positive changes due to that group. Find your support group to help you along the way, including everyone here. You can do this!!12 -
I can see arm muscles! (Can't identify them, though.) This is from doing weights for the past four months or so. I have never had visible arm muscles in my life.23

My aunt and mom came to a very lavish tea party I threw and my aunt took a picture of me from across the tea table, and when I looked at it I realized I have lost weight in my face. That was a surprise, because I didn't think my face looked all that different yet.19
