Hi all. I wasn't too active with the last thread. Had a great start to April then went downhill, kept losing and gaining the same 2-3lbs but going into May I have dropped them now. Good luck to all!

May Day!!
My first month here. Trying to recover from the Covid 19 weight gain. Hoping to lose 6 pounds this month and walk 4 miles a day 6vdays a week. I have a total of 24.7 pounds to lose. I will report in daily for accountability and weigh at least once per week

Good attitude! I have had to accept that my job is to stay on plan. My body will do what it decides to do, but if I stay faithful to what I know I need to do, it will all work out in the end.

Today is Day One of our Daily or Weekly Check In. I am starting full of enthusiasm for all of us. I hope we are all still revved and moving forward in the successive weeks.....and sticking to goals. I walked 4 miles at 5:30 am this morning with my dog....never get up that early on a Saturday unless I have to work. I am doing 10,000 steps daily.
Goal weight is 130 lbs....seems idealistic today.

Lessons learned in April:
- processed carbs (including rice and oats, not just gluten items) don't work for me
- need to consistently drink more water
- need to find ways to be more active throughout the day
- be mindful during the weekend!
- daily weigh-ins and the accountability of this group definitely help me stay on track!

164.7 A good start to the month. Within calorie allowance and plenty of exercise. Today will be a bit more of a challenge as I am hosting my monthly book club, which is a pot luck. I have my strategies in place, so hopefully I will make it through in good form.5

05/02 - 207.4 Severe glucose drop yesterday while on the road which led to a quick feeding frenzy. I hate this roller-coaster but I will not give up. It can be done, no matter how my body fights me. I’m the boss!

5/2: 149 This is simply not possible. I think yesterday’s weight may have been too low, but this huge gain cannot be right. I did eat out last night but I was reasonable. This has to be some major water retention. I will drown myself in H2O today!
