Probably people do talk about this, but I need to say it anyway:
Your rings will fall off if you aren't very careful. I almost lost my wedding ring the other day, and now I won't wear my rings until after I get a chance to get them resized, when the stores finally reopen here.
Be careful with your rings, people!

That you'll get picky about your food.
There was a call for money for a pizza run, and when I heard where, I thought, "I'm not going to. That's junk pizza. If I eat pizza, I want it to be GOOD pizza, and worth the calories."
There was a time when I would have eaten it because it was pizza, and it was there.34 -
The distance between a size 18 and a size 16 is seemingly massive! The distance between 14 and 12 is really short!28

Yes! 100%! I have to say, the distance between a 12 and 10 felt infinite for me.11 -
How many wrinkles appear on your face. This is quite frustrating as otherwise I am looking and feeling great.

I am still wearing the same knickers from when I was obese, held up by my outer clothes, and I am doubling up on my bras to hold my bits in place, but to be fair they were too small so a squeeze when I started dieting. I had to buy a smaller ring to keep my wedding ring on my finger. (Our wedding rings are engraved so I don't want to have it made smaller.)10 -
When you are grieving and logging calories to make sure you are eating enough. They dismiss what you say only to accuse you of doing it on purpose.20

How much you might need to re-evaluate why you are trying to lose (what is the motivation) or at least the mini goals might change.

You will have SOOOOO MUCH ENERGY.
Because of this, you'll find yourself going to bed late. It presents a PERFECT opportunity to cheat & binge eat late at night. So either find a suitable distraction, or force yourself to go to bed.21 -
after losing more than half of my belly, I find coughing very uncomfortable. Feels like my insides are gonna burst out from the back.9

For us women who are losing a significant amount of weight, going from “invisible” in public settings to “visible” can be uncomfortable and might need some serious introspection to work out why.30

I went for a swim the other day after years. Used to swim all the time when I was a kid as we had a big pool at home. I just...sink now. Like I just crossed my legs and literally just sank to the bottom of the pool.14

Bones....bones everywhere. Some are cool and some will freak you out during weight loss LOL.
Beware of night time hunger. I never had temptations to overeat during the day - but at night ... all the time. I ended up eating less earlier in the day so I could fill myself up more in the evening to better avoid night time temptation.
I knew this, but I think it's important for others to hear. You won't see results overnight. And I mean visually. Pictures help. But honestly, I lost 100 pounds and without comparing pictures, I could see loss in my face but almost nowhere else. I was down various sizes, but just looking in the mirror I couldn't see it. Then in the last 20 pounds I've seen a massive change. And it's not just me. Family have noted this as well.
You will get tired. Everyone says you have more energy. That's 100% true (when I was morbidly obese I had no energy. Now I do, but fatigue is still a thing). But you'll still have times where you are just wiped out. Particularly after a lengthy time of staying in a caloric deficit and working out. I probably didn't experience fatigue thr first 6 or so months. But the last 4 months I get tired for about a week a month. I still diet and exercise thru it, but definitely limit my work to compensate.
Your body can't make up its mind on temperature. When you lose alot of weight your cold all the time. But even before then, my body couldn't make up its mind. I'd sweat like crazy one day. Then not at all the next day. I'd be roasting. Then freezing. My body had no idea what it wanted lol.20 -

I noticed this. I've always done a lot of swimming. It is so much more work now.5 -
How you have to repeatedly convince others (especially those you didn't know at your heaviest) just because you're "small-ish" now doesn't mean you don't understand the struggles of losing weight.
This bothers me so much. I've lost 65 lbs and kept it off but some roll their eyes or say "oh you're so lucky to be that small!"
No, I have no luck except for maybe in my big toe! I'm deligent, dedicated, and work my butt off33 -
That the body doesn’t change evenly.
I’d been noticing my mom pouch lately as it seemed more prominent, which made no sense because I’m eating clean, hydrating, resting and consistent in working out. Then I realized that my back doesn’t crease horizontally any longer. I’m still quite overweight, but strength training has been building back muscles.
Without back flab pulling skin taut, the front looks larger.
I’m glad for every personal gain I make, but have to remind myself right now that this is, in fact, a gain.24 -
I have lost 65 lbs, and have 70 to go, and this is a long time just getting here. But lately I finally have made some changes that stalled me for about a year. Here it is: cheese. I know for everyone else, I guess it is chips, cake, etc. But I just was unwilling. Now that I am literally zooming, lost a lot of weight for me in the past couple of months since I made this change I now have looser skin. I also just found out I have melanoma, and had a large back piece of skin and fat taken out on my back next to my spine. Now, I don't mind the loose skin (actually a little more comfortable). Evidently pulling out stitches is a common thing. And I have stitches in the under pieces. Hard part, I just don't seem to understand no bike riding right now. What? Is that a thing? But what about just a few minutes? Also no hugs, but that didn't seem as odd. Just for two weeks girl. Just two weeks. I can do this!37

Body dysmorphia is a thing. The scale tells me I have lost weight and if I take side-by-side pics it is so obvious, as well as my clothing size being much smaller. But yet I still feel like I am as big as ever and I am in mortal fear of gaining the weight back.31

That at some point you may well stop being excited by needing new clothes because the ones you have are falling off. It gets old - and expensive, even with thrift stores.15

So agree with this. If I'm going to have a calorie rich food, it's going to my most favorite. Otherwise I just feel cheated. Lol10 -

I understand. I initially lost weight to bring my liver values within normal ranges. Then my A1c was dropping so well I decided to stick with it. Now my A1c is good and I'm having to find my next goal. I'm about 5 lbs from being in normal range but that hasn't seemed to be quite important enough to me. So I'm switching to fitness goals. There's a 7 mile trail I want to do. I also want to learn to paddle board.16
