What would you hope to accomplish in 5 days time?
Low carb, or very low carb will result in some water weight loss. Fat loss is going to be based on calorie deficit. You simply can't lose much weight (real weight) in 5 days.
Saturated fat isn't considered healthy fat, instead it's consider okay in moderation. Except for tuna, you've listed foods with some saturated fat. Healthier fats are plant based.

What to foods to combine? Protein, fat and fiber are filling components. Because calories deficit drives weight loss, eat foods you enjoy......but keep within your calorie goals.5 -
TeaBea is spot on. You are not going to lose much real weight in 5 days. Is there a reason you are fat fasting rather than just fasting or eating at a deficit?3

If you're not already keto adapted you will lose glycogen which will make a big temporary impression on your scale... and will make no difference to the amount of stored fat you will also lose as compared to a similar deficit arrived at by other means.
but if you're not already keto adapted... fat fasting is not supposed to be for you since it is "suggested" for people who are keto adapted and want to break a plateau!
Have you ever reviewed your national dietary association's recommendations for healthy eating? If you search for "FAO" (the united nation's food and agriculture organization) and "food based dietary guidelines", you will find publications from most countries in the world.
Given how unlikely it would be for all these countries to co-ordinate their guidelines (well, except for guidelines with solid scientific support), I would hope that you would find at least one country that would suggest steaks and hamburgers as good sources of healthy fats. But I am fairly sure you won't!
In spite of (probably) not offering much support for your fat fast, the various guidelines may well be worth a read for you and your health!

I'm taking phentermine and my weight loss stop so I google and saw that fat fast would help. I have to loss 10 more pounds to have my weigh loss surgery.2

This is a calorie counting website, that doesn't advocate fad or quick-fix diets, because there are no quick fixes. If you eat in a calorie deficit, you will lose weight. Plug your stats info MFP and chose a reasonable deficit. It will give you the number of calories to eat to lose your chosen rate of loss.4

I do hope you have your thinking cap on.
I may not be @callsitlikeiseeit but I will channel her style, on the miniscule off chance it might spark something good for you.
If you have comorbidities that can't accept a "slow pace" of losing 100 to 200lbs over 2 to 3 years then ignore the rest: only surgery and stupid tv shows can take you there faster.
You're currently on an amphetamine *and* hangry from lack of food. It's not an ideal combination for thoughtful discourse so I urge you to fight through it.
Surgery is a great solution for some people. It also has a non zero risk to turn out not so great for a small but appreciable number of people . And there are a lot of people who have some good results initially, but regain fairly fast.
Because of the risks associated with surgery, it is supposed to be a last resort.
Once everything else has been tried.
It takes one to know one. Seven/closer to eight years ago now i was the guy who used to pour a couple of finger widths of olive oil on my salad (good fats, right?) and eat my light meal with half a loaf of Costco sourdough rye (healthy dark bread, right?) And go to bed happy because I ate light that day.
Your original post tells me they you do not yet have a solid core of nutritional knowledge.
Your post a bit later says that you've gone into accelerated loss for intake into surgery and it doesn't make it sound as if you were on a solid long term weight loss program before this acceleration started
In the larger losess group I have spotted a few people who started in the 400 plusses and two to three years later they are happily in their 200s, or in onederland.
I am in no way belittling it (it's downright scarily impressive in each individual instance) but, there are multiple people on this site who have lost 200+ lbs! Multiple.
And multitudes more, including myself, who have lost and not found more than 100lbs.
Just visit the success stories section and also consider how many winners never even find the forums or post!
Sure. Maybe you have comorbidities that made your doctor say you can't wait the few years it would take for you to get to normal weight using more sustainable methods.
But the part where you don't yet have a solid understanding of nutrition does highlight that you have NOT YET tried *everything* before subjecting yourself to the risks of surgery.
In spite of my misgivings and the above discussion, I do wish you success.
The 10lbs will come off just like the previous lbs did... just be consistent and give it enough time😘8 -
Salmon and avocado are great healthy fat sources. (ps, look up "Intermittent Fasting", of which there are different styles. It may be easier/better rounded for boosting your progress) Best of luck on your last 10 pounds, and on your surgery!1

so..... this is the part where I come in and people discover they probably hate me.
it's okay. I'm a big girl.
First off, I haven't looked at your previous posts. So I don't know, other than assumptions based on comments here on THIS post (mostly by someone having tagged ME, lol) why on gods green earth, you think this is a good idea.
This is a horrible idea.
would you lose weight?
well, sure. i mean, same way you would by restricting calories by cutting out any food group, really. its why keto (which I am also opposed to) works. And low carb works (you can pry my carbs out of my cold dead carb filled hands). Do i eat a LOT. no. Do i eat them? absolutely. on average anywhere from a third to half my macros are carbs, typically LOL
losing weight has nothing to do with cutting out food groups. it has everything to do with cutting CALORIES. I used to weigh over 330 pounds. I am under 170 now. More to go. Obviously. Many have lost more than I have. Regardless, it is a long process. With bumps along the way. weight loss is NOT linear.
Now, based on other's comments, you want to lose weight quickly to get into a weight loss surgery program. Okay. I will leave my opinion on that out of this. Everyone does what is best for them and that is between them and their Doctor (however if you can lose weight to get in the program you can lose more to get to where you want to be. ooops sorry meant to leave my opinion out. BAD DEBBIE BAD BAD DEBBIE ) anyway. moving on... Steak. Red meat (that would be steak. hamburger. meat from a cow, in simplified terms) is high in saturated (bad) fat. Which leads to high blood pressure and high cholesterol. If you are overweight enough to be considered for WLS, then it is likely that you already have these issues and do not need to exacerbate them. Lean meats (chicken, most cuts of pork, most fish, seafood), other forms of protein, VEGETABLES, is what you want to be focused on. eating all meats is really rather silly, as you will not get the nutrients that your body NEEDS.
I can not encourage you enough to get a STRONG knowledge on NUTRITION and its effect on your body. How micro and macro nutrients work together and what our bodies need them for. How our muscles work. How our brain works. I'm not saying you need to have a PhD in these things, but a good working knowledge of health and nutrition and why our bodies need certain nutrients and how our bodies work. why do our bodies need potassium? Why do we need protein? Why do we need carbs? Why do some people think carbs are bad but why are they actually needed? Things like that. That doesn't mean eat a package of oreos (god i love oreos), but it doesnt mean 2 are going to add 5 pounds either.
I truly truly, from the bottom of my heart, wish you the very best of luck and you are MORE than welcome to send a friend request. I post all the time, though it is usually about my dogs and our little farm.
and my love of oreos7 -

Yikes. Sorry, OP, that you asked a question and have had a lot of responses jumping to conclusions without knowing anything about you as a person, your history, medical history, knowledge, experiences etc. I'm sure it wasn't what you were hoping for with your very first post.
I do think there's a keto group here on MFP that may be more inclined to help answer your questions regarding fat fasting, or increasing fats in general as part of a weight loss strategy. Again, best of luck to you.

OP doesn't appear to be interested in long-term keto dieting. OP wants to go low carb for five days in hopes of "making weight" for a weight-loss surgery program.5 -

Totally understood. Her question was actually which other foods could help round out her choices (in addition to beef, eggs, etc) (she wasn't asking "should I do this" or for general nutritional advice, or to be told it was a 'horrible idea')
I pointed her to the keto group since part of keto is making sure you are getting enough of the right fats while in ketosis. (as evidenced by the replies she got, the 'general' message groups aren't the place to ask for tips/tricks on a specific plan like a fat fast (considered a "fad") , though the keto folks may better understand how to help both nutritionally carry out a fat fast safely/effectively3
