I went up 2 lbs on the scale last week, but was feeling good about how I was looking, so I decided to try on my size 8 jeans from last year (currently comfortably in a 10) and they all fit! With one of them not even causing a muffin top!27

I'm starting to look really good in my leggings again!! 🎉24

I am sitting around in a pair of size 8 jeans and a baggy (size) medium t-shirt.
This isn't even NEW, but it is so, so surreal.24 -
I Log both my food and exercise and set a loose goal of one minute swimming for my age in years per day or 73 minutes a day I totaled last weeks swim yardage and I swam over 11 miles close to 20000 yards and averaged 75 minutes a day20

My preferred running shorts no longer require Vaseline to prevent thigh chafing.25

I can technically fit into a medium now. Next step is to be able to fit into it comfortably24

I had to throw out my belt because it was way too big and the old marks from past sizes made it look terrible.15

Yesterday I deadlifted 2 sets of 4 reps at 150 pounds, which is the best I've ever done. It also matches my body weight! I'm getting closer to being able to do a real push up too. Staying hopeful!18

This may be a weird one. But I am terrible at “being present” whilst eating. I usually have the TV on or pick my phone up multiple times and scroll Facebook (yeah I know it’s hardly hygienic) tonight I made a conscious decision to be present and savour my meal. I made sure I slowed down (I usually scoff!) and made myself chew each mouthful at least 40 times. I did reach for my phone out of habit a few times but quickly put it back down without unlocking it, with a reminder “no, you told yourself you weren’t doing that tonight”
I think it came from a massive conversation that my partner and I had last night about how we are both guilty of zoning out. I feel like this is another NSV. We will sit on the couch and cuddle but barely talk because we are both scrolling our phones or zoned into tv. It’s something we have promised each other we would work on in our relationship and it just floated over into my dinner time tonight (my partner works until 9pm and I got hungry early so had dinner by myself tonight)27 -
I hit my protein goal today for the first time in a while.16

Week one of vacation—nutrition hasn’t been perfect, but I’ve walked/ran every day and lifted 3 out of 6 days (including my 10 hr solo drive day).
Bring on week 2–plans to visit a few climbing gyms, another ninja gym, and do some hiking.18 -
For the first time in many years, I went to my local pool twice this week and swam laps. I used the float board for many of them but did get in some with freestyle and crawl strokes. I'm gaining a bit more confidence in the water. Being in a swimsuit in public wasn't too big of a deal because I was proud of myself for getting out there. A win for sure!!25

Since I was barely breaking a sweat during my daily cardio, I switched my workout music from 'Dance Pop' to 'Club Electronica.' Whew!11

My resting heart rate has dropped from about 82 to 7735

Needing all new clothes, tops and bottoms and undergarments. Costly NSV but I've bought a few pieces only because I'm 27 lbs to my final goal and I will still need more clothes.
Good job everyone alot of wonderful NSV23 -
I had a very stressful day at work (felt like I was thrown under the bus) and did not emotionally eat in response. I instead emotionally lifted weights.47

Realizing this week that my waist has returned after all these years....31

I successfully turned down a cinnamon bun at work 😅 #whoami #imtrying30

20 push ups!!! I did 20 push ups, like full ones on my toes yesterday. In 3 sets...10, 6, and 4. This is a big thing for me since I had shoulder surgery in 2019 and hadn't been able to do push ups.27

I have stopped eating between meals. This has been a major problem for me for years, one that adds extra calories I don't need. Snacks CAN be beneficial for some. Some people can use snacks to hold them over til the next meal and the calories are accounted for. But that wasn't so for me. I was just eating indiscriminately. I am happier and hoping this will result in better losses.16

I can sit indian-style/criss-cross applesauce/pretzel-style (whatever you refer to it as)
I can comfortably sit in a chair that was too tight fitting (hip-wise) that I couldn't a few months ago13 -

Shirts that were once too tight on me are now so baggy that I should probably stop wearing them.14

Same. I was heading out the other day and haphazardly grabbed a "comfortable" shirt. When I saw my reflection in the mirror later, I realized I should no longer wear it out of the house as it absolutely hangs off me (and not in a good way!)
Congratulations to you and continued success!13 -
Just getting started but I can get back in a pair of shorts from last summer.18

I hit my first small weight loss goal on 7/12 BUT then I want off the rails with over eating for an entire week and didn't track anything. I was feeling super disappointed in myself but watched a YouTube video by Jordan Syatt and he basically says, you can't "ruin" your progress unless you stop completely. He motivated me to stop feeling upset with myself and to get back on track this week. I did just that and when I weighed in today, I was only 1lb up from my 7/12 weigh-in. I thought it would be MUCH higher. Though I talk about my weight here, my NSV is that I stopped feeling hopeless over how I ate the week before and dusted myself off, and got back up and to it this week! Super proud of that, because in the past I would have just let that week turn into a month or several, or just stopped completely.35

I biked 12 miles this past weekend and I'm still alive!23

I went to a grand reopening last night which meant there was LOTS of delicious food out. I had gone out to eat before arriving and wasn't hungry at all. In old days, I would still eat stuff because it looked so yummy, but last night, I ate one cherry and walked away. It felt so good to stay away!19

I'm having a very upsetting afternoon AND I'm just done baking a lot of cookies for a get-together this weekend.
And despite the upset, I ate one cookie after lunch, and I ate one cookie after dinner, and while I'm still upset, I'm not throwing food at it because food won't fix it.22
